The Achat hotel is a reasonably priced hotel located nicely in the near to the Lüneburger Heide. Rooms are decent, Breakfast is quite good.
I was staying at a room for wheelchairs and it worked very well. The mirror in the bathroom was mounted to high was a wheelchair user.
The room is nice and clean. Surrounding area is quiet and nice. When checking in, I asked reception to remind me if breakfast was included or not, as I forgot. They said it wasn't, it had to be paid as extra. I checked later in my booking and it said it was included.
Location, parking possibility in front of the hotel, quick response to extra wishes, more or less breakfast and spa the carpet was not clean, the lady for massage was not awailable on weakend and there was no alternative
Friendly staff, decent rooms, parking under the hotel - all good.
Very good hotel nearby Hamburg. Clean and nice room. Hotel has very good restaurant. Breakfast was excellent.
the rooms are small, not nicely furnished, breakfast 14 € for nothing
Nice area,close to downtown. No
We enjoyed our stay and found the room very confortable.
New and clean hotel. Very reasonable prices and "does exactly what it says on the tin". Buchholz is a rather unremarkable town just south of Hamburg but excellent if you are stopping of on the A1 or need reasonable access to Hamburg with a car but don't want to pay city centre prices. Parking charge only required if you leave after 8am Parking charge if you leave your car there throughout the daytime.
no wi fi at the rooms, small rooms
Very beautiful hotel in the country. Large, clean, quiet room. Not so near to Hamburg. Ten minutes by car to Harburg and 20 minutes by train to Hamburg.
easy to access, close to the highway old fashion, average food
Nice place, relatively close to Hamburg (by car). Large rooms. One of the waitress was rude. There was no heating (or didn't work, it was hopeless to turn it on). They didn't answer for the e-mail.
Excellent service. Good restaurant. Facilities such as sauna, whirlpool, steam bath, etc. freely available for hotelguests. Nice location, good access to other infrastructure. A non-smoking room had been reserved and confirmed, but was not available.
I liked the fact that the hotel had a rerstaurant where smoking was prohibited. Friendly and very helpful personnel. Lay out and furniture of rooms are rather outdated (dark brown).
Our 3-person room was big, the beds were firm and quite comfortable, the buffet-breakfast was tasty and freshly made.
Very good Hotel. 3 to 4 class service, lot of parking place, comfortable room, free welcome drinks, good restaurant, "gemutliche" atmosphere. Romantic touch. Breakfast included and that all for only 75 euro's for a double room. The town is little but with a very nice old centre.
We liked the atmosphere which is why we returned there for another night. Friendly staff. Lovely hotel rained all the time we there so didn't get chance to explore the area.
A good breakfast buffet. 45 minutes to wait for a sallad is too long, I think.
Very large family room, excellent service
This hotel is an older facility, but it was exceptionally clean. Our dinner in the dining room and the breakfast buffet were both excellent.
english speaking staff, very helpful and the food was very nice. the shower was not very hot.
Restaurant very bad. Expensive wine (cheapest €21 per bottle which was worth at the most €5 in a supermarket), food tasteless and the smoking room had its doors open so the non-smoking part was a waste of time.
Staff very helpful. Restaurant/food was excellent. Great value for money. Good location -just off motorway. Decor a bit dated. My mattress creaked.
It is the only hotel in walking distance to my family's home. Beds were O.K. (two singles). Europe lacks the convenience of Queen and King size beds. Breakfast was fine and had a good choice of cold cuts and cheese, also smoked salmon and a variety of good breads/rolls. - The hotel is right by the 'autobahn', and it's a breeze to go to Hamburg by car, though Maschen has also train connections to anywhere one wants to go. While the stairways and corridors obviously had undergone some renovation (floor covering, wall covering and paint), this was not the case with the room which had an old carpet, outdated furniture and lacked comfort and coziness. The room was very quiet though and had a small tv. - Having been there during the Worldcup 2010, I would have expected a large hdtv in the restaurant/bar/pub, but there wasn't any!
Very large room; very friendly staff. Wide selection of dishes available in restaurant and breakfast was also very good. Ample (relatively private) parking also available. The hotel's location (just a few minutes from Autobahn A7/A1) is excellent as an overnight stop on a long journey through Germany. Room could have been cleaner.
Travelling through Europe it is a very convenient stop in the vicinity of Hamburg. I would prefer the essentials - such as hand soap etc provided by the hotell.
Nice, quiet, relaxing aftera long day on the busy roads. I had problems with the hotspot internet, bad or no connection.
A great place out in the country-side. Good breakfast, good service and great bed to sleep in. One woke up refreshed. I will make sure to stay here again on my next trip through Germany, a little longer stay next time though. We were a little unlucky to arrive as the neighbouring farmer was spreading out fertilizer on one of his fields so there was a bad smell, but not the fault of the hotell.Out room was not ready on arrival, but as compensation we were offered the bridal-suite.
The location in the countryside
Excellent hotel, despite it's lowly star rating. Loads of character and located at the centre of a small town with plenty of places to eat and drink. The hotel restaurant however, was everything you'd need in terms of choice and quality. Breakfast starts with a soft boiled egg, how unusual is that in Europe? Ideally placed for visiting Hamburg and there's golf just 3kms away.
The ease to find the hotell from autobahn.
Oldy-worldy bar and dining area, all oak and traditional lighting. Good selection of drinks. Excellent selection at breakfast bar, incl. fresh fruit. (Did not eat in restaurant as we were in Hittfeld for a funeral. Menu looked good, local German food. Single rooms good size, modern comfortable furniture and bed, excellent power shower and extremely good lighting (bright at table, good reading light at bed side table. All very clean and neaatly planned. Location on main road in village. Dorffest (village fete with funfair and all) at weekend we were there, plus flee market (6 a.m. start) made for a noisy nights. In-house casino noise level in rooms facing rear can be high. Staff/owner (?) unwilling to keep front door open for guest arriving after 10 p.m. due to 2 hour flight delay. Back door was blocked by crash gates put up against Dorfest-revellers) But pleading helped to keep lights on and door unlocked so taxi from Hamburg could find and deliver guest. Would only recommend hotel, when no Dorffest or Flee-Market is on.
Excellent breakfast although we did stuggle to identify all the things on the evening menu (we must learn better German!) Our room had a faint smell of smoke
close location near highway A1. people working in the hotel are very kind. Hittfeld is pleasant village to walk around and has a reasonable choice of restaurants. breakfast buffet was ok. it was sunny and humid day; rooms under the roof were a bit warm, opening a window during evening gives traffic noise (for one of teh 2 rooms)
good breakfast, nice free WiFi, free parking
verynice and helpfull hotel staff.good location would be nice if it was a no smoking hotel
