There was wireless in the rooms, 2 computers for use in the main hall, one could feel like home with a common room with free tea / coffee. The staff was inobtrusive and pleasant. Ideal for rest / work / shopping stays for people that do not demand luxury.
The breakfast may be a but simple but it was sufficient for my needs. It is easy to hear what's going on outside the rooms. However, the guests and staff were quiet so this was not a problem during my stay.
Firstly I loved the location opposite a beautiful park. Then the relaxing atmosphere with a comfortable big room - plenty of space to move around in. the bathroom and the WC were very small however. it was very relaxing and welcoming with as much breakfast as you could possibly eat and unlimited amount of drinks from the machine. I loved the ambience and was very happy. It is expensive but all of Norway is expensive.
Well you have to be fit and strong to get there on foot as there is no public transport up to the hotel. I dragged my suitcase up behind my husband moaning loudly as there was a steep hill. It was very easy to get down town but clients ought to be warned about the effort required to get there from the harbour or train station
The hotel is very nice, really historic-style. Nice rooms, very quiet and with a good view in the park. Breakfast very generous, in a fantastic dining room!
Nice quite location, small hotel, very nice breakfast room. Bergen is a smallish place, at first sight it seems as if it is not in the center, but it is a very short and pleasant walk to the city.
The room is really small, the description of the hotel explains that each room is different, however there is nothing really 'interesting' in the design of the room itself, it may be slightly different but this is not an art hotel.
Very quiet and nice location by a public garden. Ten minutes walk from city center. Excellent breakfast buffet. Fair price.
