Winter prices are amazing compared to their summer rates. Everything was extremely clean and the the view from our 7th floor room was outstanding.
beachfront was perfect every room has balcony overlooking the beach, and only one block from the end of the boardwalk. got a room with two beds and I am used to a king size so it seemed small to me. that's just my preference
Great location - looking out from the room's balcony, you can see that the end of the boardwalk is only a block away. Great view of the beach/ocean. Room was EXACTLY like the picture, very clean and spacious. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely come back and recommend this hotel to others. Never was I disappointed or let down by anything; it's was really the opposite, I kept being pleasantly surprised.
Access to beach and boardwalk a plus Did not receive maid service, sheets were dirty/stained, sand throughout sheets, no beach/ocean view from first floor. Parking limited. Suites not located in hotel, building across street. Love the hotel, but won't stay in suites again. Expected more from Dunes Manor
The view and location, staff was good Bed small
Ocean-front views. Difficulty in making reservation & in getting a fixed price! Surly staff person at check-in. Gave us room on floor 5, despite request for higher floor. Room had a second queen-size bed: why?? No chair, other than straight-back for desk. No place to watch TV except from 2nd bed. Noisy fridge and blower in bathroom. No one at registration desk to provide info or "key" to enter exercise room. Breakfast buffet price ($17) is exorbitant! Hotel website did NOT mention that OC was celebrating St. Patrick's Day with parade, one week early! Hotel provided no means for written feedback. In general, overpriced, living on laurels from another time.
Great view Great porch Great beach access Pool area needed supervision No bell hops Free coffee should stay til 9 Bar food was very average
Good location After checking in we dropped our luggage at the room and went to the beach for an hour and a half .returned to the room to find our carpet next to the bed soaked . I go to the front desk to let them know to find out that they don't have anothere room to put us in and they would send maintenance up to check on the ac unit. We waited to get dressed for dinner until the maintenance man came and all he did was remove the water with a shop vac and said he would let the desk know what was going on and that's all they could do. I followed up with the desk and the supervisor on duty said there is nothing they could do. I asked for the manger and was told he was in a meeting and not available. So my floor was soaked my entire stay at the dunes and the staff basically said deal with it. I paid way too much money to just deal with. I would not recommend staying there again. Poor management and an inconvenience when you only have a few vacation days Also they placed me in a handicap equipped room . They made me feel as though I was being punished for booking on the Web
Very nice room, friendly housekeeping Poor front desk staff, room over an hour late to be ready (4:15p for a 3p check-in)
Beautiful property and courteous, attentive staff. No Internet and room service in the adjoining property. That wasn't disclosed at check in or in the in-room instructions.
Rooms very clean, staff was great. The wife loved the afternoon tea. Convienient location, all rooms are ocean front. I liked everything about the hotel.
Has everything you need. It has more than just the basics in the room. The room was clean and there were ample pillows. My room was spacious. The bathroom was small but clean and functional. The beds were hard.
I can honestly say nothing at all. Terrible place!!!! Check was crazy and unorganized. Had to wear flip flops in the shower. Tried to check out early due to cleanliness and horrible customer service. Wouldn't recommend at 49.00 dollars a night. Complete nightmare. Every customer was saying the same. This place needs new management and a complete overhaul.
Good value through Kayak. Decent fitness center, indoor pool( outdoor too), room was clean, staff very friendly (Kudos shout out to Meisha) and helpful. Although the room was a little outdated in decor, the bed seemed fairly new and was very comfortable. choose a street or ocean facing room and you will avoid the loud music from the ice rink/recreation area. Outdated rooms. Shower head rusty, tub nozzle caulking broken away from wall.
The amenities were nice. Nice size pool. Nice out door bar and view of the beach. The rooms were a nice size. We drove all through the night and checked in at 2. The woman at the front desk was so rude. We did not know our room wasn't going to be ocean so I went down to the desk to ask for a new room. She kept trying to tell me that since I booked it on hotels.com that there was nothing she could do. After my fiancé went down she immediately changed it for him. She was incredibly rude to me. Will not stay here again because of customer service was horrible. For paying an additional 120 for our room I would expect more customer service from a resort like that
All the friendly staff, and food was good. There was half of a dead rat on the hallway my toddler stepped on it. !!
The location was central to a few eateries and a movie theater. I did like that there was an additional parking deck nearby free of charge to guests. There was a microwave, fridge and decent cable in the room. There was a snack stand on main floor with a variety of choices nearby the ice skating rink. Loved the idea of free beach chairs to hotel guests as well. Didn't get a chance to utilize the other amenities but there was plenty to do which is awesome for families. The cleanliness of the room was questionable from the bathtub to the carpet. The hotel can be updated. The noises from next door after 1 am was ridiculous. We got trapped in the elevator 2 twice on two separate days 20 minutes each time. Then we had to ask for housekeeping each day to replace linens used. The staff can use a refresher on customer service.
Too much noise all day long around the ice skating rink
The staff was just ridiculous. I received attitudes from more than half of the staff I encountered on my stay there. They also made me wait three hours for my room to be ready and when I asked questions they continued to pass me on to the next rude staff member. When they finally gave me the keys to the room my keys were at the bottom of a pile of room keys suggesting my room had been ready for some time. They should be ashamed by the way they treated me and my friends during our stay. I won't be coming back to that hotel.
Oven front bar and live singer
Location A/C didn't work. Ice Rink closed
Buffet was great and the staff were attentive . Second year in a row for a winter valentines day get away . Nice to have a good seafood buffet onsite in the wintertime
The room was spacious with a legitimate 4 star feel for a beach resort property. Friendly and accommodating staff. Everything in the room worked fine. A special plus are the multiple food venues onsite; snack shop, cafe/sports bar and fine dining. It's any easy choice for on and off season.
location to the shore, great staff. very inexpensive for the demographic and time of the year (New Year's Eve). Dining room staff is very, very good at attending customers. very dated. The Moen shower head needs replacing, carpeting is very old--worn out and dark in high traffic areas. Actual positioning of the building is not great-facing north/south..staring at adjacent hotels vs. an in-line view of the ocean. Can smell a strong odor of smoke in the hallway (had to change room once).
Location, short walk to the beach Room 316 was awful. Overlooked leaking hvac system. Looked out the window to a view of a roof with empty beer cans and cigarette butts. Room was dirty found dirty plates and utensils throw behind the couch.
Happy hour beach bar and especially the band Difficult to get. Elevator at busy part of weekend
It's very bad hotel.carpets not clean and aisles are not clean either. Its Abad hotel I will not coming a gain
Location-we walked everywhere and where we couldn't, we took the bus. But lots of restaurants, shopping, beach and nightlife within walking distances. I also like the decor and overall look of the hotel. It was clean and the pool was lovely. Spacious room and loved the makeup mirror, lots of light, hairdryer and whirlpool feature of the tub in the bathroom. The couch and bed weren't the most comfortable and the couch was from frayed and threadbare at the corners. Air conditioning and WiFi weren't that great. I also thought I had an "in" with Kayak when I received that early check in email. I checked that we'd like a before noon check in if possible. We got to the beach at 8am but did not get into our room until 3:15 (check in isn't until 4:00). We were a little disappointed because we had our hopes up, but the hotel was very nice about letting us change for the beach in their lobby bathrooms.
The location was good. And the price was okay too. The air conditioning didn't really work too well, especially in the bedroom where there were not any windows or circulation. We ended up buying a fan to make the bedroom bearable.
I expected the room to be smaller but it was big and spacious for my small family, The hotel was close to the beach it was a 5 minute drive and the employees were very friendly. I didn't like that on the sofa bed mates it seems someone peed and the stain and smell were very much present. The whole hotel room wasn't perfectly clean, I didn't mind since I was only there for one night.
There was no hot water!
It was a great location, perfect in that it was tucked away, further from the hustle and bustle, but still within walking/very short driving distance to the boardwalk and some really great restaurants and a cool club. Checking in & out was pretty effortless, and when we asked the concierge for two dinner recommendations, one for pizza and the other for a nicer evening out, he was quite quick on his feet. The pizza place was great; when I looked at the nicer restaurant's website it looked a little hokey to me and different from what I wanted so we ended up going somewhere else. The amenities were nothing special, perfectly adequate. The walls are also relatively thin. Didn't really have any problems until a bachelorette party came to stay the second night and we were woken up several times at pretty random hours by knocking and people talking loudly. I realize that this is not the hotel's fault in and of itself, but definitely affected our stay.
This is hands down the best hotel in OCMD for the price. The staff are friendly, the rooms are huge and clean and the hotel's location is perfect.
Room was spacious as was the bathroom. View of the pool, bay, and Fagers Island was great They need to do something about the elevators. They went extremely slow. Was the worst when you're trying to carry luggage up and down the floors. Especially with a luggage cart that's hard to steer
The staff was outstanding! This was definitely a nice hotel. A hidden treasure. Definitely coming back for another stay later this summer. The elevators. You couldn't tell what floor you were on. And the reaction time to hitting the floor button was incredibly slow.
Nice and quiet Dirty tub
How close it was to the beach Our room wasn't very clean
Walking distance to beach and restaurant Unfriendly front desk. Only 1, coffee cup couldn't get another even though we had a room for two
The night shift idiot at the front desk. 1hr to check in......
We found the location convenient to catch a bus down to the OC Air Show. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the room was clean with enough space for a short stay for a family of four. We were happy that our room did not front onto Route 1. Right on Route 1 without beach view.
-We didn't have to cross Coastal Hwy -Friendly staff -Relatively clean room -Very hot water -Beds were comfortable -Toilet was very slow running -Kitchenette was a small coffee maker & a small fridge -Paid for an ocean view but didn't have one -We had to go and ask for more towels and additional sheets (and they were counted as if I were stealing them) DEFINITELY needs more towel racks/bars in the bathroom
Got booked in a closed hotel and by the time this was realized to late to get a room. New years eve plans ruined
distance to the beach the dirty dingy feel to the place.
I was able to get my room ahead of schedule. All staff were courteous and took care of my requests. Parking was excellent and had plenty of spots available. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, was able to get extra sheets / blanket for the sofa bed (Children), and the whole experience was a great get-away vacation for our family of five. In the evening, the entire area was very quiet and peaceful. Excellent job Coastal Palms Inn & Suites Staff! Keep up the great work & customer service. What a great location and prime beach location. Would recommend this Hotel to anyone; great pricing through Kayak app. Look forward to returning w/ family & friends! The elevators were making some weird noises, but they functioned just fine. We took the stairs if necessary. The water hose attachment was broken, but the staff was able to bring out a new attachment later that morning. The water hose was only down for an hour or two. It was up & running in no time. Overall, I didn't have anything negative to say. Great job on your hospitality, and we enjoyed our stay ocean side. Thumbs up!
It was a very good price for this time of year. The rooms are redone and it looks like a new hotel. It is a big difference from how it looked a few years ago when I stayed there. It is a long distance from the boardwalk and a lot of the bars and clubs. There was some dust underneath the beds, the room was clean besides that.
Bathroom floor was gross feeling to bare feet I had to put A towel down on the floor. Bathroom sink drain needs to be cleaned out- got. Logged to easy to quick.
over all comfort and cleanliness didnt like all the noise from low rider weekend
The location, the price, the staff were very friendly and very helpful. They need to update their beds. Bed was old and too low. I'm not use to sleeping on a soft bed so I guess this was my problem not theirs.
It was a typical hotel room. Nothing great but I didn't have any complaints. I would stay there again. It was just fine.
Proximity to bars and restaurants and ample parking. Very nice balconies and view of bay. Rooms smelled .old small toilets and furniture . The rooms by elavator have to hear it all night when people get on and off.
Two king beds! Great for large families with small children!
Central Location, close to fager's island It was a dump. Doors wouldnt lock properly, balconies full of people smoking weed, front desk staff that was a mess.
Rooms were clean and prices were good compress to many other hotels. NA
