Pros: Everything was excellent
Cons: Warm welcome from our very helpful hosts, tranquil location, love!y house, comfortable beds, good breakfast, pleasant location
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful secluded 5 room chambres d'hote with the added frisson of cabins for the intrepid up in the trees overlooking the river. Sparkling modern design with superb facilities with a rustic twist from old beams. We liked it so much we booked for our return journey as well.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice accommodation, but still some finishing off to do. Rooms feel a bit damp, but that is probably due to the location next to the water.
Cons: They didn't speak or didn't want to speak not a single word of English, so if your French is not good, then you will have a problem!Everything is also very measured, one towel in the room per person, although I did receive another one when asking. Only 2 pots of coffee while having breakfast, so when a third couple arrived, then the coffeepot is taking away. You will also have to decide the day before if you want tea or coffee, or hot coco(1 portion).
10.0 Excellent

6.3 Good
Pros: Very cute. Amazing views and the bed was so comftable.
Cons: Booking states they speak English. Not a massive issue but there was a big language barrier. No cooking equipment. No curtains.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is such a hidden gem with beautiful rooms, the terrace views onto the river are sublime, wonderful dining area, generous breakfast and staff that will go above and beyond to help make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We didn't stay in the treehouses, but I did look around them and they look incredible - creatively built and cosy nordic decorations. I would absolutely come back and stay here again.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully set on large green grounds in a lovely quiet little village with a friendly neighbourhood. Seems to be run by a welcoming family with a great sense of hospitality. A perfect transit location when driving or riding through this region. Secure parking is a bonus.
Cons: WiFi strength in the rooms was quite weak but then again, not crucially important when you take all the other positive factors into consideration
Maison de Plumes - Heuchin - Building

9.5 Excellent (92 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Maison de Plumes in Heuchin, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Agincourt Battlefield and Abbey of Belval. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: It was not clarified on booking.com that a stay with our dog only was allowed in the most expensive chamber.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice breakfast served in the dining room, fresh daily from the local village
10.0 Excellent
Pros: You were made to feel very welcome and the rooms were exquisite. The grounds were immaculate and it was lovely to be able to sit on the terrace.
Cons: We had the 5 course platter. However, 3 of the courses were salmon, which although was done very nicely it would have been more appreciated to have a varied meal and at least one hot course.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very quirky but in a really cool way Owners cooked for us as there aren’t many restaurants nearby. Really nice meal. Rooms were amazing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I spent ages researching the perfect place to stay in northern France, and Maison de Plumes truly is boutique hotel perfection! The most charming host, Nicolas, who was so sweet and helpful and encouraged us to feel at home, which we did, albeit a gorgeous 1920s style Georgian home where one half-expected to see Tom Buchanan galloping up the long garden on a polo pony! Yummy home cooked dinner and a great breakfast, with eggs from Maison's own hens, sugar in a cut glass dish and a selection of honey. The bed was absurdly comfortable and I had the best night's sleep I've had in a time. Would unequivocally recommend and hope to return. Loved that Nicolas waved us off from the doorway as we left - a truly special stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! From the moment Nicholas met us at the door it felt so relaxed. Rooms quirky and spacious, really clean and such a comfortable bed (parakeet room). Well worth staying for the hosted dinner- fresh, tasty, beautifully presented. Breakfast was really lovely- all bread and pastries straight from the local bakery.
Cons: Nothing. Will be returning!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Gorgeous old building fully renovated in period style with beautifully decorated rooms. Amaury is a fantastic host, he teaches French literature so always an interesting conversation with him. Nothing is too much trouble, I'll definitely be back.
Cons: Nothing really, it was exactly what I wanted.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything, can't be faulted. Art deco at its best.
Cons: Perfect hosts, beautiful spaces and rooms, immaculate attention to detail. Had the opportunity to see all the rooms, so lovely we took photos. We will recommend to our friends and return. And an hour from Calais, so perfect for a weekend in beautiful French countryside.

Pros: Great and special place! Friendly owners. An unique experience, sadly enough our visit was too short. We got a wonderful piece of advice about the sightseeings around which made us change our plans but had an incredible day in Montreuil sur Mer. Thank you very much, dear hosts!

7.0 Good
Pros: The owners were very helpful and cheerful, in spite of the language barriers! They were especially kind for being considerate with a handicapped child in our party.
Cons: The views and ambience of the farm house was lovely to look at, but much of the premises was private and not accessible for paying guests.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The welcome was superb - Madeleine, Xavier and their family made us feel at home. We would recommend asking to dine here too.
Cons: The only thing for us that would make it better is if we could travel with our dog!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Delightful accommodation, quite private and a very quiet rural location. Not too far to drive for Hesdin which is the main town where everything you might need can be found.
Cons: Nothing that the owners can do anything about but it is important to know that mobile signals in the location are very poor/ minimal but having access to the WiFi in the main building does help.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: A very nice place in the middle of nowhere. Very welcoming and friendly. Accommodation excellent and evening meal is available if required (very good) and a good breakfast.
Cons: Nothing we didn't like but be aware that payment is in cash. This is on the booking form but I didn't notice it. There is an "ATM" not far away (5 minutes by car) if needed
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely peaceful location, we stayed for 3 nights, Madeline made us very welcome and her 3 course evening meals were delicious. The accommodation allowed easy access to the garden and conservatory. We will visit again. Ted the new puppy was a delight.

The food was excellent and our evening meals were absolutely delicious. We arrived as guests and left as friends. I cannot recommend highly enough. We are returning to stay in December. Can't wait!!! Thank you Madeline
Cons: There was nothing we didn't like on the contrary our stay was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A really homely atmosphere. The owners were extremely accommodating and catered to our every needs, including making delicious evening meals with locally sourced produce to save us driving to a restaurant. The village is charming, and set in a beautiful rural location.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The bed was really comfortable, rooms very clean everything we needed was available and when our kettle didn't work it was replaced immediately. Madeline and her family were very friendly and so helpful with information about the area, recommending a lovely restaurant in Hesdin.
Cons: There really wasn't anything that we did not like, although it would have been nice to have a mirror in the bedroom as we were two couples sharing a bathroom, but apart from that there was nothing.
Au repos du roi - Maisoncelle - Building

9.1 Excellent (94 reviews)
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great to be on a working farm. Lovely people very accommodating. Good clean room for overnight stay Brill breakfast.
Cons: Would benefit from tea/coffee making facility in room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was in a good location close to the battlefield. Really good breakfast
Cons: Little more information about eating out in the area
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed as part of a wander through some French country-side, with the associated battlefield only a minor attraction. It's easy to imagine that the farmhouse could have been the manor house at which Henry V stayed, and that added to the charm of the room. Our hosts were friendly and patient with our lack of French and directed us to a fabulous local restuarant (La Belle Epoch in Hesdin). Breakfast was simple, but more than ample, and included home produce.
Cons: The bed was a bit soft for our liking, but that's a matter of taste. It didn't stop us sleeping well in the quiet of the neighbourhood.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful building and great breakfast room. The owner was very friendly.
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly owners great breakfast in a working farm.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The owner was really really friendly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good facilities, ideal location. Parking good. Friendly helpful owner.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was excellent with fresh products such as fruit and croissants. The home made jams were the best I’ve had. The location was rural and very tranquil. It was close to the site of the battle of Agincourt. It looks like they are building a new museum nearby so we will have to return in future. Besides our room we had use of a sitting area which was nice for the extra space.
Cons: The only problem we had was a water leak coming from under the bathroom bench and across the floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was particularly good. The fresh strawberrys were a lovely addition. The breads were wonderfully fresh and totally delicious.
Cons: The rain!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room tastefully decorated, and equipped. Amenties excellent.
Cons: Central heating not on on a cold night.

Several places of historical interest are reasonably nearby e,g Agincourt, Montreuil, the Abbaye and gardens of Valloires. A satnav would be useful as road signs once off the main roads are few. Pros: Very nice and quiet place, good breakfast and lovely donkeys, dogs and horses.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A very French experience driving in through the gates. Received a very warm and informative reception from Marie-Christine et Philippe. Off road parking. Good sized typical French rooms with lashings of hot water on first floor of converted farm buildings. Comfy beds and v quiet rural location. Amazing genuine hunting themed room next morning in main house for breakfast with local yoghurt etc. Saw the goats wandering in grounds beyond the terrace as the sun rose at. Walked out to visit the chickens and friendly donkeys through kitchen garden afterwards which would be a great start or end to a day/holiday if travelling with young kids. Lots of lovely touches, weather forecast chart, pictures, a very French atmospheric Grand House + all info leaflets etc. Wished we could stay longer. Ate La Poste in the village as recommended v modern v good value. Tres Bien Merci Beaucoup.

Overview Reviews
When you stay at Abbaye de Belval in Troisvaux, you'll be steps from Abbey of Belval. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. This hotel has 6 meeting rooms available for events. Free self parking is available onsite.
6.8 Good
Pros: The area and the outside look of the vast building were good. Typical French style breakfast was Ok. Peaceful and tranquil.
Cons: Lovely pictures of the Abbey on web site, but access was limited to us to the hotel reception lobby and the hotel room. we were unable to be given access to the grounds or the abbey buildings and cloisters. If you go there you need to chose a day when it is open to visitors. Rooms were spartan. Parking is mixed - web site says no, but there are spaces available around the building.
7.0 Good
Pros: The quiet peaceful location and serenity
Cons: Contrary to the description of the extensive grounds, when you stay there after the shop closes at 6pm you have no access to grounds, nowhere to sit or relax outside at all. The description of it being a hotel is false as it is a Monastery with rooms, nothing more. If you want total quiet and peace it is ideal but don't expect a hotel experience as you won't get it. There is no TV in the rooms, no tea or coffee making, and no replacement of very basic toiletries if you're staying for more than one night, no reception after 6pm, and very basic breakfast in a dormitory setting. I liked it as it suits me but be warned.
6.8 Good
Pros: The bed was extreemly comfortable.
Cons: To bad there wasn't an extra pillow. The bathroom was very basic. I had to held the showerhaed myself. There was no holder.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Nice staff, simple but clean room
Cons: In the building next to the hotel facility are refugees stated, we do'nt have problems with that but it is better to inform new customer about this.
