I liked the fact that there was a twin bunk bed for my son. We also were happy with the location. When we arrived the lights were out and reception was closed. We didn't know about the automated checkin servic. when we called booking.com in America they just said oh well they are closed.it was midnight and I was with my kids.
Not a thing, No wifi and the girl behind the counter was not helpful but shrugged her shoulders when I told her I was unable to connect. She was more interested checking the single men into their rooms. There is no air-conditioning...it's a fan. When we woke up at 6 am we had no lights for the first 15 minutes. There were bugs in the hallway. The bathroom was the smallest I hae seen in Europe.
The auberge is located in one of the most picturesque villages in France. The rooms are charming and contain all the expected amenities. The restaurant is lovely, and the chef is truly gifted. Dorothy, the owner, attends to every need. Everything is amazing.
Brigitte was a wonderful host, the breakfasts were very satisfactory, the room quite comfortable despite the weather, and the public spaces were not only comfortable, but very attractive. No. Brigitte couldn't do anything about the weather.Having a bad hip, it would have helped to have an elevator, but in a 16th Century chateau, it would have ruined the beauty and ambiance.
