Pros: Lovely experience. Great local walks and amazing meal
Pros: Cozy family-run hotel at beautiful location in Jotunheimen, convenient for those who want to hike Besseggen. But the real star here is the food , which is out of this world. Freshly prepared, making use of local ingredients, such as mountain trout, reindeer meat and local cheeses. The hotel also has a fine beer and wine collection. Excellent buffet breakfast with wide variety of choice . If you want to combine outdoor activity with gastronomy this is the place to be. Superb.
Pros: Nice place to be for a couple of nights to venture out into the beautiful countryside. The hotel has it's own charme and the food was very nice.
Pros: Excellent breakfast and dinner. Nice location with good hikes nearby
Pros: Hindsaeter was the perfect base for hiking the Besseggen Ridge, and the dinner was the perfect way to fuel up! The common rooms are gorgeous, and the perfect place to enjoy a local micro-brew. The spread for breakfast was also delicious. Staff were very friendly. Wouldn't hesitate recommending this place.
Cons: Nothing - our stay was great!
Pros: Loved the common spaces of the hotel, the smell of timber burning
Cons: Loved everything about it :) Dinner is pretty expensive compared to prices in other countries, but it is a gourmet three course meal, so all in all I’d say it’s a good value for money and definitely an experience worth trying.
Pros: Very comfortable beds, nice decor, beautiful lounge and dining room, there was even a plush reindeer on our bed! Amazing view from the lounge and the rooms. The dinner was excellent, quite pricey for our pockets, but it was Michelin-starred style and quality. There is a spa open in the afternoon but we couldn't use it because we arrived just before dinner. The staff was always ready to answer our questions and gave us good suggestions for hikes.
Cons: The bathroom was very small, it was a bit difficult to enter in the shower. Our room was beautiful but small.
Pros: Dinner and breakfast were the best we had on the trip!
Pros: The traditional feel to this wonderful "Fjell Hotell". The beautiful setting and the views down the valley towards the mountains. It was however the food which was the stand out item. This was some of the best food I've tasted at a hotel anywhere with a delicious and inventive menu making use of local produce.
Pros: Very friendly staff. Great food.
