Friendliness of the staff. Continental breakfast was disgusting, cereal was stale, cream cheese for bagels was outdated from may. Nothing was fresh or appetizing.
Nice cheap place to stay for Skiing.
Stayed for New Year's Eve. Hotel room was huge with big, comfortable king size bed. Very clean room with refrigerator and nice shower. Walls were a little thin with guests making noise but it was New Year's Eve so it was to be expected. Perfect location close to everything.
Nothing My flight on Feb 14, 2015 was cancelled due to a heavy snowstorm in the New England region. This hotel (Hillside Inn at Killington) is the only business that refused to refund five (prepaid) days of stay. They could have made me pay for one day, but they took all the money for the entire vacation I was planning to take with my son at Killington.
Set back from the main road on, yes, a hillside. A few miles from restaurants, ski facilities and within a reasonable drive on Route 4 or 100 to Rutland, Ludlow, and Woodstock. Room had a separate sink and small frig, but no utensils or dishware. Room had unusual configuration. Bathroom area had no tub and shower was extremely small. Could not bend over. Toilet was in separate, basically, closet with no exhaust or fan. Breakfast was mini-muffins, mini-bagels, dry cereal, coffee, juice -- nothing special.
Extremely close to all ski areas Cheapest price for the area Kitchen area was good, had microwave, mini fridge Parking was bad in the winter. Snow takes up so much room considering small parking lot to begin with. Paper thin walls Can't change heat, no actual heater Bring your pillows
Location and views Furnishings very scruffy. Car park rough. Reception barely polite. Bar staff poor. Overall disappointing stay.
The location is pretty good, close to a lot of shops and restaurants. We were supposed to have a Deluxe King room, with a king size bed - they didn't have any available. The best they could do was a room with two double beds and a balcony. The hotel is tired, paint on railing on balcony is peeling. Huge stain on the rug between the beds was not pleasant. Sunday morning waking up to the sound of a lawn mower at 5:30am was not nice. Hearing everything that went on in the hallway and the bathroom next door was not fun either.
The location was great. The staff was amazing. They were more than helpful and accommodating to all of our needs. They really went above and beyond even on simple requests for us. They were courteous and never once had a bad attitude no matter what time of day it was. Matthew and James were great in particular (be it checking us in at 3:30am or just making sure everything was going well as we were on our way out for the day). The hotel is also very open to suggestions and feedback to help improve the stay for everyone.
The staff was incredibly accomidating. The hotel.has a bike was station and allows guests to store their bikes to their rooms for safety purposes. The beds were very comfortable, breakfast was amazing, and the hot tub and common areas were great. For mountain bike guests the experience could be improved if there was a secure bike valet, that only staff had access. Guest would drop their bikes with a staff member and have their bikes retrieved by a staff member. This would keep the rooms cleaner and ensure the safety of riders bikes. This is done in other bike destinations like whistler.
I liked that it was close to the ski area I didn't like the fact that I had to wait over 2 hours after check in time to get a room. I don't like the fact that James, who was working the front desk when I arrived had no idea what was going on and couldn't even get a list of what rooms had been cleaned and which haven't. He just told me that he just got on duty and doesn't know how long the wait would be. Never apologized for the inconvenience. Didn't offer anything for the trouble. He then finally gave me a room key. When I went to the room there were people's stuff already in there. I had to wait another 45 minutes for a new key. Poor service. Poor quality hotel overall. The location is the only thing going for them.
We came to check the area out reay for ski season Breakfast, when we arrived down at 8.30am there was very little left to eat and no where to sit so we left with just a coffee
Staff was excellent
We were wanting to visit Killington and arrived in mid-Septmber. The leaves had not changed yet but Fall was in the air and it was beautiful. The lodge was very nice with large rooms and spacious community areas. The hot tub was amazing holding over 20 guests with two fires nearby. There were not many guests so we had it to ourselves. They have a movie room and played recent releases each night at 8pm with popcorn. This must be an excellent place to stay during ski season.
Staff was EXTREMELY pleasant and welcoming! VERY clean room and comfortable beds. It was very dated decor, bathrooms were small
I liked Steve, owner and his assistant. They were helpful at providing background information about the area, places to visit, very knowledgeable. The breakfast table and coffee were ideal. It is very close to Killington. Very quiet at night. Wifi was not the strongest but than we were not staying there to read our email or play games. There is plenty to do outside of the room and inn.
The hotel staff was amazing the owners were extremely friendly helped with any questions I had about the area and provided one of best experiences iv had on vacation
Welcoming and comfortable.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was great for our needs. I felt like it was expensive for the time of year and accommodations. It was after the height of ski season and before summer rates.
Parking and location Room didn't have air conditioning
Friendly staff, self-baked waffles included with breakfast. Easy to find, quiet. TV is up high facing the bed. Ideally lower and facing the table and chairs in the corner for those staying up late to watch.
The atmosphere was all about service and customer satisfaction. We were always greeted with kindness and concern that our needs were being met. Parking was perfect and the hotel layout was easy to navigate and was well marked. The food was excellent. It would have been nice to get a newly updated room, but our room was clean and pleasant just the same. I would have spent more time in the common room had the fire been burning more frequently.
Very homy. Staff very personable. Jacuzzi. Less than 10 minutes away from the mountain. My room REEKED of weed; fresh weed. Not that I hate weed or anything, just didn't want to experience it to that moment. I'm sure if I brought it to the staffs attention I would have gotten a different room though. Didn't want to cause any trouble.
It was a little small and only had a community refrigerator but still very nice place to stay
Beautiful hotel with incredibly friendly staff willing to talk about great places to enjoy in the local area. Really authentic feel to the hotel. Community centered as microwave and refrigerator were in the main lobby. Beautiful woodwork and ATD :) Only downfall was the bed was a bit uncomfortable and lopsided.
The owners are clearly in love with the area and are very enthusiastic about sharing it. Very personable. Cute, cozy room.
My husband and I went for a quick weekend get away and on a whim booked a room at The Lincoln Inn. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. Mara, the hostess, was warm and welcoming - a fascinating person with a remarkable back story. Her partner and chef, Yvgenia, is a meticulous cook who leaves no detail go unnoticed. Our breakfast was a masterpiece - I've never had better bacon and the fruit was cut and presented beautifully. We didn't plan to stay for dinner, and that was our mistake - and one we won't make again.
Lovely bed and breakfast. Mike, Barb and their dog Burt were awesome hosts. They were very accommdating and wanted to make sure we were relaxed and had a good time. Like other bed and breakfasts, there's a shared bathroom. But you only share with one other guest room since they only two suites at any given night. The other room was empty, so we actually had the bathroom to ourselves.
Physically and operationally, thoughtfully considerate of guest needs - lots of nice touches. Recommend! Sound travelled in from the hall / stairs and exterior, but very infrequently. A/C somewhat loud. Promised snacks couldn't be found near complimentary drinks fridge.
Nancy and Mike were so lovely. Our room was so comfy (I came home and ordered the same linen) and we were able to enjoy some Vermont cheese and crackers by the fire in the lounge in the afternoon.. So amazing. It was such a treat to have such great home cooked food while traveling and as a bonus we got to go snow shoeing in the woods behind the house. Highly recommend! Little hard to find off the street the first time. Keep your eyes peeled for the sign. Also there is no cell reception (not a bad thing on holiday) so save down your maps. Free wifi when you arrive at BnB so it wasn't an issue once you've checked in.
Nice, clean, staff is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast here is something else, just simply amazing. And very close to Killington.
Connie at the front desk was a sweetheart. She couldn't do enough for us and was more than accommodating. The family room / game room was pretty cool and the huge open fireplace was quite nice. My friend Adam spent his day and night writing his book by it. I'd give them 10 out of 5 stars if I could
The hotel is a good deal for the price. We were up there for a 5K run and just needed a clean comfortable place to stay at a good rate and this place did just that. The best part were the managers. They were so nice and treated us like family.
Friendly Staff, good location and great price. I really felt welcomed and that if I had any needs they would have been taken care of. Any dislikes I may write does not take away from the fact that this is a decent place to stay when you do not want to spend an arm and a leg for lodging. The motel had an old musty smell that I assumed came from years of moisture of guests returning from skiing. We had arrived in the summer, so I was sort of surprised at the odor. The elevator also sounds like it needs a tune up and my fiance and I decided the stairs were the best bet for our stay.
Hot tub and sauna. Excellent staff
nice facilities staff is not friendly
Very friendly staff and warm outdoor pool. Minutes from the lifts and plenty of restaurants close by. Free shuttle services were nice as well. Would definitely stay here again. No hot tub (except in private suites) or bar/restaurant on location. Could use an updating in the near future.
Friendly. Clean. Easy parking and accessibility.
good location to ski slopes old hotel, rusting sinks. Very noisy. We had to move do a different room at 4 in the morning because other guests were making to much noise for us to sleep.
Surprise Wednesday's early evening they offered burgers and hot dogs poolside
Heated pool was the best part. Very cheap room, no frills, but the pool would bring us back again. Hotel is super dated and seems to be falling apart, but great bargain for your money. We went for the heated pool, and enjoyed it fully. Run down, old, dated, no frills. Weird decorations. And some weirder guests..
proximity to resort. cleanliness of the room. free internet. full kitchen. friendly staff
Rooms were spartan but clean and adequately equipped; beds were firm; staff very friendly; outdoor heated pool and sauna were a nice perk. Walls and ceilings were thin--a lot of incidental noise from adjoining rooms. Complimentary morning coffee was watery.
The pool is great all year long. No continental breakfast and desk staff not that helpful.
