The central position in the town and very good breakfast (ham, cheese, eggs, orange juice, tea, pancakes, jams, croissants, fruits...). There is also free tea and coffee at the reception from 2 PM to 10 PM. The stuff is very polite and they speak English. When we arrived, they gave us maps of Arras and advised us what to visit in the city. The room is a little bit too small.
Great Hotel, nice view from the room
Manager was very helpful and welcoming , cleanliness of rooms good and excellant breakfast. Rooms were very small
The host is delightful and very helpful. The bathrooms are spacious and clean
Friendly helpful service. The breakfast is superb all local produce. Stay at this hotel.
Free and easy access to wifi. Central location. Free access to local history books inc guide books and WW1 books. Easy to locate. The room was a bit on the small side for a long stay but for a couple of nights it was fine.
Location. Very small rooms.
Excellent position and very helpful owner. Rooms are on the small side and there are many stairs!
Excellent location to enjoy the city and landmarks. Well maintained. The clerk that was on duty when we registered could have been more helpful re. parking options.
We liked the fact that hotel was on the beautiful square and the close proximity to Vimy which was the purupose of our visit. The owner/1 man show who runs the place was very efficient, helpful and saw to our every need. The buffet breakfast was adequate and worth 8 Euros. We would stay again but ask for a front room. The books in reception that were available to read about the first world war were and added plus. There was no where to sit in the room to enjoy a glass of wine. There was no place for two large pieces of luggage + carry on without falling over the bags. The room was a little small. We faced on to the back and if we were to go again, we would ask for a front room facing the amazing square. The room heaters did not work.
the location was convenient
Bed was extremely comfortable; food in the bar/restauramt was surprisingly good. Staff helpful. We struggled to find the hotel, even with the directions supplied.
Access to main roads and ease of getting into town centre, value for money for buffet breakfast, good short stop over while travelling around country
The staff were courteous and helpful the restaurant was fine with a friendly atmosphere. The Hotel location was difficult to find,But it was the first time we had been to Arres France
close to Arras centre, only a short bus ide away. Easy access from the motorway and only an hour from Calais One of the rooms smelt of stale smoke despite being a non-smoking hotel
The usual standard campanile facilities. You generally know what you are going to get. A little tricky to find as sigposting ran out after first turn off main road.
It was clean nothing around the hotel, had to drive a significant distance just to find a decent meal.
Staff very helpful and approachable; very comfortable double bed; good food Floor in the room was dirty - had been hoovered but not washed, so we ended up with dirty feet
Large room, comfortable beds, clean..
convenience to the motorway decor a little tired, noise from nearby road
Easy access. The restaurant buffet.
Quick service. Polite staff. Good choice at breakfast. Hair dryer in room. Although the room was non smoking previous guests had obvoiusly abused this rule. The towels were very worn and discoloured. No teamaking facility in the room
It was near to the countryside for cycling to visit the WWI battlegrounds and cemetaries that was the goal of our stay.
The breakfast Did not have internet access. It was not well insulated for noise
rooms were clean food was plenty and that is it the lady that checked us in was nice and polite she help me out as i only had 6 rooms and did not book mine, but after she went the staff was poor and that let her good work down. when you ask for anything it was though it was an effort to get it. they shut the hotel up at 2115hrs on saturday night with out letting us know the bar would not open saturday night. it was though they did not want the custom
Cleanliness and basic comfort, good restaurant
My girlfriend and I really liked the decoration and the layout of the hotel. I wouldnt say i didnt like it but just that it was a bit difficult to find, but that could just be my fault
Very friendly and helpful staff, a very clean room that had good heating (we stayed in March) and was serviced every day. Our stay was quiet and undisturbed and enjoyed easy access to Arras (35 minute walk or 10 minute taxi) and the surrounding countryside (car). The pillows were a bit hard and the bed quite low.
Comfortable, clean rooms. Pleasant decoration. Helpful staff. Good food Hard to find. Had to call in order to get another name for the street in order to get it on the GPS
welcoming staff limited English but willing to try and help us use our also limited French.Able to get an English tv channel. Food good but limited choice. No real lounge for a relaxing drink
La Belle Etoille is very clean and the rooms only moderate size but quite comfortable although space for clothing is at a minimum. The restaurant is very pleasant and comfortable with a reasonable dinner menu however the breakfast is overpriced. I had a complaint about some steak which was incorrectly described on the menu and we were impressed with the measures which were taken immediately to correct the error. Although it is slightly out of town the situation is not a problem if you have a car and it is an advantage when visiting such as Vimy Ridge and other WW1 sites. Overall we were pleased with the hotel and staff and would use it again - the size of the room which was spotless is however reflected in the price. There is some noise from the industrial site opposite if you are like us and must sleep with a window open - however I'm sure with windows closed noise would not be a problem. We did not find a way to operate the heater in the room or the bathroom but did not need them - however if we had asked I'm sure that we would have been told how to switch/control them
Convenience / Restaurant Close to main road - a little noisy with widows open
Staff were extremely helpful, rooms very clean though basic. Restaurant service was very good. Overall a good choice for an overnight stopover.
The food in the restaurant - nicely decorated restaurant The bed was broken so we had a very uncomfortable nights sleep. The shower door was broken so we couldn't take a shower. They changed our room for the following day but still found that furniture was broken and the bed was very uncomfortable.
Good accessibility Seemed run down and in need of internal repair and decoration
The room I occupied was extremelty large, immaculately clean, and convenient. The location of the property is central and close to major attractions. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my stay at La Corne D'Or. I simply wish that every night outside my own residence was this enjoyable!
The hotel is very nice and the restaurant is excellant
Good substantial breakfast I chose this hotel to see visit the underground bar - sadly it was not open to the public????
Courteous Staff and comort and cleanliness n/a
Excellent restaurant and friendly staff
The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast good. We selected the hotel as we had stayed before and it is most convenient to the town centre of Arras and also has parking. We, could, thus, arrive by car, park it, and then walk to the town centre from there. Nothing to say here.
We did not stay there - our room was fooded so we were rebooked into the Hotel du Golf
A bijou hotel, with well appointed rooms. Close to the town centre with safe parking. The restaurant was expensive but absolutely excellent. I have not eaten such a good meal since I was at Le Manoir in Oxfordshire. A real delight. The room was rather smalll. Also the lighting onto the courtyard was on all night and it was rather like daylight in our room all night.
The hotel has been modernised since I last stayed there and is very convenient for the city centre. The staff are not very impressive. The receptionist was pleasant but didn't really know what she was doing and failed to pass on our request for a table booking to the restaurant. The restaurant staff were reasonablty efficient but lacking in any charm.
everything especially restaurant
Very good location in the centre of Arras. Parking was not a problem at all. No
Staff and size of room Room was dull
In addition to its perfect location, the service is very good as well.
No bar open. No drinks served in lounge except whiskey No evening meals
Thought that it would have been better to be offered choice of clean towels everyday or every third day as many people are more environmentally aware nowadays and do not need either clean sheets or towels more than every three days.
room was immaculate staff were very friendly and even had the patience to encourage my children to learn a little French
Terrific position, very clean with large room and bathroom. The hotel is a good base for expolring both the town and somme area. Car parking (safe and secure) was excellent value at 5 euro per day The restaurant only opens for breakfast and the bar is not really a bar and is rarely open. The hotel is deemed 4 star but due to lack of facilities it is not the overall 4 star package one would expect
This hotel was very good, clean and comfortable - staff were excellent and the location across from the train station very handy to the TGV to Paris etc. There were some excellent bistros close by nothing was a concern to us
Staff were really helpful especially with things we needed for our young children. Cots were set up ready for us and they arranged warm milk in the evening with no charge.
Friendly reception - beautiful room - adequate bathroom - separate wc Poor indications incase of fire - poor service in the breakfastroom - bad information about public parking
We found this hotel to be of a very high standrard and all the rooms were very comfortable and spacious.
Lovely location. We were in the building next to the manor (which was beautiful!). Excellent breakfast. Room was simple, but large and clean. We had a lovely stay.
Nice restaurant, and nice breakfast facilities
The cold buffet breakfast was nice did not receive my requested wake up call, was told no room for extra day stay but went to room and booked on line with booking.com.
The location is in very nice grounds The service at breakfast was lacking with various items on the buffet not being replaced very quickly (if at all)
Freedom to come and go, spacious room, good value for money. Broken tiles and dirty bathroom (floor and corners)
Excellent staff, superb food, easy parking, building full of charm.
the address of the hotel does not on tomtom and the road signs of hotel are wrong so it is diffucult to find the hotel and please change the address on the internet
Restaurant is excellent for dinner. Breakfast a little sparse.
Tranquility. Restaurant Difficult to find from map.
Very central location and cleanliness no shower curtain, no towels in the room on arrival, very 70's feel despite the recent renovation,
convenient location.staff friendly.parking convenient.cleanliness of room food -.recommend to eat out. no shower curtain.room rather dingy although refurbished.dining room shabby and dusty
Good service. breakfast & dinner. Comfortable room. No problems.
Great location, helpful staff Hotel is a bit tired. Bathroom, not shower.
The friendly helpful welcome the shower was very complicated. I am 78 kgs only 1m65 tall almost impossible to sit o0n the toilet - room 208
Location only The hotel was practically empty and restaurant was closed
Friendly staff & convenient location. We were told within 30 mins of booking in that it was not possible to eat at Hotel as restaurant was full. Told the following day thah it was a mistake ! Also info. on your web site says 2 restaurants - a bit misleading as far as we were concerned. Others in our party in another double room had cause to complain about functioning of shower taps, unclean pillows, lack of towels (only one small and one shower size for 2 people.
Very close to the main square, for local food and drinks. The museum is 30 feet away. You can buy private parking for 5 Euro, but the parking is free on the street.
Perfectly situated in the heart of Peronne, Hotel Saint Claude provides both comfortable value for money accomodation with excellant staff.
The bedroom was a delight. Large comfortable bed abd pillows. I found the shower controls difficult to operate because the symbols on the face of the shower were invisible to me with poor eyesight (I don't wear glasses in the shower!) and I had a few cold surprises until my wife was able to help.
Efficient service with good facilities. Best buffet breakfast yet with dood range of items including fresh oranges for juicing Thkucky for us temperatures were in the high 20s and there is no air conditioning, We booked a fsmily room which was extremely stuffy at night
Very helpful staff My room was not 100% for wheelchair use, but am assured it will be by the time I revisit in September
Yes, Advertised bar, restaurant and room service. None was available nor was any halp offered in finding an evening meal. the excuse was that it was a public holiday but the adjacent hotel Ibis provided full service. This lack of service was not advertised in advance of our arrival and there was no reduction in price due to reduced services.
Friendly and very helpful staff. the room need more lighting!
Excellent internet connection in the room Minor, but there was not enough space between the desk and the bed, to be able to sit comfortably whilst working.
Staff were very helpful and friendly The stairs, could be dangerous!
Friendly staff, clean rooms, good value for money.
The food in the Resaurant was first Class There was no Tea & Coffee Making facilities in the room
i didnt we got confirmation from two rooms, but we got only one room. for four+one person it was not nice night:)
comfortable bathroom, clean. furniture also comfortable. refurbished. cars arrived the whole night for the ibis hotel nearby. some drunken people made noise in the street. you could hear too much from the neighbour room.
The peace and quiet of the hotel in general and the comfortable dining room and bar area
Excellent food and service. The first room we were allocated overlooked the noisy kitchen air conditioning unit and the factory next door. However we requested a change a were given a very pleasant room at the front of the hotel.
Excellent dinner menu. Noise from main road. Very small bathroom.
Excellent Hotel for touring the Battlefields. Easy parking and good attention by staff Whilst Hotel room was good value, meals and drinks were expensive and put the bill up rather. Nothing nearby as an altrnative Dining venue.
Very nice furnishings, free parking, good location, quiet. Restaurant very expensive, no lifts to handle luggage to room
The staff were generally friendly. Bar was pleasant and open for children to play billiards. The room for 4 was a triple room with one bed a sofa that had been made up as a bed. A matress on the floor. We didnt eat, but the food looked very good, but too expensive for me and the children
Needs to be cleaner, workman on flat roof outside window, very disconcerting as he was on the same level as us, no privacy.
arrived later than announced, but still got access rooms were located at the back, not possible to leave windows open due to noisy ventilation system at the outside of building
very nice hotel, staff very nice & food outstanding
The meal was the highlight, fine dining, good service The room was a little small and stuffy, we opened the window, but the traffic noise meant we eventually had to shut it
Reasonable, budget overnight stay location. Noisy at time of stay, only 1 towel for 3 people !!
Only there a few hours, was good for an overnight stay.Pity the field behind was cut on the evening of our visit as it was a nice view from the back of the hotel
We feel that the hotel was an excellent economic stop over
Friendly helpful check-in No restuarant within walking distance
very nice staff very helpful no
Absolutely nothing, couldnt wait to leave Didnt like like the following,Fence round Hotel, Room was minute onlyabout 10 foot by 10 foot no air con, Breakfast at 5 euro consisted of an offering of 2 slices of dried sliced bread and 1 cup of tea. reception make you pay before you get your key, and when you see your room you know why. Sleep in the Car rather than here, (watch the film Hostel)this is it !!!!
visited Cambrai, had problems finding a restaurant for an evening meal. Visited Cambrai War Memorial Bed uncomfortable
Check-in with credit card brilliant. Industrial surroundings but weather was fine so ok.
Room door security is suspect - the locks all appear to be loose.
Like the new television and the fact that it's close to the shops. The room, although extremely basic was clean. Not flexible enough with check in times, arrived early and had to wait all day even though our rooms were ready, after having an overnight ferry crossing with 3 children. The rooms are far too basic and much too small.
Spotlessly clean, central Easy to find but difficult to access by car. We booked a twin-bed room but it was a double. However, nobody took us to our room, and we were too tired after a long drive to drag our luggage back to reception and ask for a change of room.
Convenience for city centre Possibly a little expensive
the location was great, the room was spacious, modern and clean, food was good, and all staff were friendly,
Hotel reception staff very efficient. Had a small query regarding booking and they resolved it promptly before travelling. Managed to get a promotional deal which reduced the cost from what was originally quoted. Look out for them! One of our party lost a coat in one of the local hostelries, and the reception staff offered to retrieve it for us and post it on. Has now been recieved within two days. Noothing of note, although would suggest you check the cost of breakfast carefully. It cost us a lot more than we anticipated, and the costing was not clear before travelling. Parking to unload in front of hotel could be awkward.
Staff were very helpful and provided useful information and guidance in English which was a plus as our French was limited.
Overall I thought the staff were great, really helpful and the cleaner did her best. I felt the rooms were a little run down and poorly maintained. Fittings were loose and windowsill coming away from the wall. Bathroom fittings were worn and shoddy. The car park below was appalling and very badly lit a nightmare to park in.
Good location although parking was a pain Inadequate coffee in the room; shower screen was useless;
Good basic hotel and service with helpful staff meagre supply of tea & coffee, suger, milk in a double room, adequate only for single occupancy. Breakfast toaster was virtually useless.
Modern, no nonsense, close to centre of town. The TV in our friends' room did not work.
Comfortable modern hotel near 'old town' Whilst there was a charge for parking it was very convenient and ticket was verified at reception.
