Overall standards were excellent. Leisure facilities to a high standard. Hotel staff very friendly & helpful. Location idyllic. Room rates good value. Restaurant & bar prices higher than expected
friendly staff;clean rooms
The hotel arranged for one of the waitresses who spoke very good English to be on hand for the guests at the wedding who spoke limited German. This included the lady coming in on her normal day off because they were aware of the influx of guests coming. A spa pool at the hotel would be nice to go with the Sauna and Pool.
Schneewittchen's room was awesome! A less expensive alternative to DornröschenSchloss Sababurg or Rapunzel Turm Trendelberg.
swimming pool and sauna, size and cleanliness of rooms, location, parking, restaurant had good food smoking in bar where we ordered lunch
Acceptable room, nice breakfast. Located in old section of town. Wi-fi did not work in our section of hotel.
This hotel is always nice.
The room with sitting facilities i.e. sofa, armchair, desk. Also the balcony. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff very discreet, we never had the feeling of being hurried on.Finally the expanse of the hotel and the wellness centre, the opening hours thereof being particularly impressive. Can't think of anything
A pleasant hotel in an historic town. Used by cyclists travelling down Weser Valley as well as other tourists. Very good breakfast. Staff speak English and helpful.
Service and welcoming of staff, absolutely spotless through out.Breakfast & Dinner excellent!!! Great variety of food and plenty of it ,wines good prices. Wi Fi worked!! Chef came out each meal and had a chat!!! Absolutely nothing
Comfortable friendly hotel with good sized bedroom and shower room. Good continental breakfast and attention to detail (such as fruit in the bedroom).
very personal atmosphere i/net access was only available in the reception area and not in the rooms as advertised. Albeit it was free.
Nice location at old dock side; style and atmosphere of building. Amenities too basic; dogs in public hotel area.
The staff was OK and the location was excellent. Room cleaning consisted of picking up dirty towels and putting them back on the rack and re-making beds with the same sheets. Little else was done in the way of cleaning over a four-day stretch. There were no shades on the windows, so by 5 a.m. the room was bright, which made it difficult to sleep. The TV did not work.
Very original design of the fairy tale castle of 'Rapunzel' with good conservation of the architecture. Give us a feeling like prince and princess. Both the adults and the kids love it very much. Excellent food and romantic atmosphere. Excellent hospitality by the hotel operator who also speak fluent English, and they explained in detail the history and stories of the castle which added much interest to our stay. Free parking. Good location along the Germany Fairy Tale Road. Have spiders in the room and restaurant but this is expected in this natural context. Perfect if they provide toothbrush and toothpaste.
It was unique to stay in a castle. The restaurant was wonderful, great view and a very loving kitty enjoys greeting you out on the patio. The bed was a little hard but we found hard beds at several other locations on this trip.
The setting is beautiful. It's a bit of a trek to get there, but worth it. It's not just a cool old castle on the exterior, the interior is terrific with lots of old artifacts, wood beams, a great staircase. The dining room has a wonderful view over the valley and if you're lucky enough to be there when it's warm (i wasn't) there is a beautiful patio. I want to go back! The owners are very nice. and the food was excellent.
Nice hotel and friendly staffs
Location, food, service, nature Long way to carry your bags
Loved our room and the view. The restaurant was very good and worth the price. No real complaints, but room could use a luggage rack.
The magic of staying in a castle was wonderful for the children. We wish, however, there had been more information available in English on the history of the castle.
The atmosphere was fantastic. The small town it was in was adorable, and there was a great walk through a river-side park. I would definitely stay here again instead of the nearby Sababurg Castle, which I did not stay at, but seemed to be pretty isolated. No TV in the room, but with the view from my window, I really didn't need it.
I was there 20 years ago and fell in love with the place and I still love it. Sleeping in an old castle is magic. Trendelburg has so much atmosphere and history it was like coming to a museum. Over all it´s charming.
