Old fashioned riverside cabin with resident cat to let on the banks of the Severn in a superb location, set in mature, lawned grounds with a variety of trees and shrubs and access to the river. Two small double bedrooms comfortably sleep 4 adults, and there is space for a camp bed in the living room areas. Please request this option if required. The cabin is situated approx. 1.5 miles outside of Bewdley, a beautiful Georgian riverside town with plenty of pubs and restaurants. It is a 6 minute walk from Northwood Halt request stop on the Severn Valley steam railway. There is ample parking for two cars and plenty of outdoor seating (weather permitting!) Access to the cabin is via 3 steps, leading to a glazed verandah area with stunning views over the river. Double doors lead to the kitchen dining area. The charming kitchen is fully equipped with a gas cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, breadmaker and microwave oven. The Stanley multi fuel range has pride of place under the beamed chimney. A door from the kitchen leads to a small inner lobby, and the bathroom, which features a bath and electric shower. The living room and bedrooms are also accessed from the lobby. The living room offers two well-worn but comfortable sofas and an armchair, together with Talk Talk Pause and Rewind TV. Doors lead to two small double bedrooms, each with a double bed and ample drawers/wardrobe hanging space. We will leave a welcome pack of wine, tea, coffee, milk, laundry and dishwasher essentials. Please let us know if you would like us to supply bedding and towels. Access statement & letting conditions. The cabin is accessed via a long, uneven paved path, and from there up 3 steps. The river is deep here and not suitable for swimming. The property is heated by the Stanley range; regrettably we cannot let it to persons who are unfamiliar with the care and maintenance of range cookers. A starter pack of logs is provided and a 4kw paraffin heater is also available, including a starter bottle of paraffin. The property will be thoroughly cleaned ready for your arrival - we would be grateful if you leave the property as you find it. The rental reflects your willingness to feed and spoil our rescue cat, Tipton, and also to top up the bird feeders. It includes all household bills, including local telephone calls – but not to mobile phones. A damage deposit of £250 is required and will be refunded by direct transfer at the end of your stay, deductions being made for calls to mobile phones and other premium telephone charges, cleaning, any other damage or breakages and electricity consumption in excess of £80. Disclaimer: As the holiday home owner, we do not accept any liability for loss, damage, injury or accident which the hirer or any of his party may incur or experience.
