Pros: the whole stay was wonderful. the host Sylvie and her family were amazing. they welcomed us in like we were family. it was the best nights sleep I had in ages due to the bed being perfect for us, really big and comfortable. breakfast was lovely too and mostly home made with even a cake made for us to enjoy.
Pros: The breakfasts, the kindness of the owners, the very warm atmosphere, the beauty of the surrounding villages.
Cons: The rooms may be warm in summer.
Pros: The owners are very nice people, the property is well maintained and the yourth experience was great. All food was based on ingredients coming from their own garden and it was delicious, both supper and breakfast.
Pros: Excellent breakfast, sound sleep, and everything else
Cons: All well, the place for ourselves, when fully booked there are only three families, so hardly a mass market hotel ;-)

Pros: Fantastique!!! Everything was perfect
Pros: House and room was pretty good with full of details. Breakfast was outstanding. We’ll try again
Pros: The house was beautifully decorated by Brigitte. And her breakfast was fabulous. Loved having the large garden area to recline on a chaise. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub.
Cons: I don't think Brigitte nor Jean Francois could have improved on a thing! The only thing that was difficult, is that it being a small village, there were no restaurants open on Saturday.
Pros: Fantastic location. Unique house with beautiful artwork. Amazing hosts that make it feel " home from home". The breakfast is Michelin starred!
Pros: The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the room was spacious, light and airy. Jacuzzi was very relaxing (especially for my son who had cycled 250km) and the owners were so friendly and helpful. Would love to go back.

Pros: Our hosts were very friendly and helped us with tips for places to visit and restaurants in the next town. It felt very personal as we were living in the same house as the owners and had time for interesting conversations when we first arrived and then again at breakfast.
Cons: The house is outside a small village and unfortunately there are no restaurants in this village. We had to drive to the next town to eat dinner.
Pros: Very open fun loving hosts, who gave us the run of their home, provided home grown produce and we're great (patient!) conversationists. Location is rural, close to Peyrehorade
Pros: It was very close to the A64, the autoroute between Biarritz and Narbonne. We, the team at Spanish Steps Camino Tours, were driving up to Paris to meet our next group of pilgrims to walk the Camino from near Paris to the Chartres Cathedral. Upon arrival at Taoulares, we were greeted by the very friendly hosts who offered us an aperitif once we settled in. The rooms were large, very quiet and impeccably clean. I look forward to our next visit to this part of France. Great value, especially for France.
Pros: The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful, greeting us with a glass of wine and nice conversation. They went out of our way to find us a nice place to have dinner, and breakfast the next morning was lovely as well with more nice conversation with the owners and other guests.
Pros: Welcoming and friendly hosts. Encouragement by hosts to use common facilities such as kitchen. Hosts sharing useful and local knowledge....and wonderful homemade produce such as jam, cheese and pate. A great experience!
Pros: A co-incidence Monsieur was. Retired primary head teacher as we are! So lots to chat about plus his Gardens were set up for birding So paradise They were lovely providing home made breakfast All to our liking
Cons: Stop on route to our house
Pros: The owners greeted us with some drinks and prepared the room a bit earlier than the agreed check in. The breakfast was simply great, and we were treated like at home, with some nice conversation.
Cons: Nothing bad
Pros: The owners live on site and were very friendly and helpful. The food was beautiful, all homemade. The room was clean and comfortable.
Pros: Everything was great and the owner is very nice!
Pros: Lovely attention from the owner/host, beautiful house and garden in a very tranquil setting; excellent breakfast with homemade cakes and jam; wonderful for kids with the space to roam and some great playground toys including a huge trampoline in the back garden. Should be a great base to explore the local region as only 30 minutes from Bayonne and slightly more to Pau.

Pros: The home was beautiful, modern and very comfortable. It was restored from a very old farmhouse and barn and is set in a hilly, pastoral area near the Pyrenees mountains, with fantastic views in all directions. But... this is not the best part, from the first moment you arrive the owners make you feel welcome and right at home. The owners, location, scenery, accommodations, everything Perfect!
Cons: This home and it's owners are so nice you don't want to go out and do the tourist sites.
Pros: This is a traditional style Basque farmhouse that has been renovated to a very high standard. The room and bed were very comfortable and there were beautiful views from the windows across typical Basque farming country. The property is in a fairly remote location and you need to navigate there with sat nav coordinates. The owners were very helpful with finding restaurants for evening meals and made bookings for us. Owners both spoke English so saved me having to crank up my schoolboy French!
Cons: The breakfast was good with fresh bread, croissants, home made jams and muesli, there could perhaps be one or additional items to improve the choice.
Pros: Excellent location, quiet surroundings, beautifully decorated and a very comfortable room, luxurious bed and linen and wonderful bathroom. A devious healthy breakfast was served on a covered patio and our hosts were very hospitable but not intrusive.
Cons: It would have been nice to have our own TV in the room though just enjoying the beautiful countryside and house was more than enough. I would also have like to have a kettle in the room but we were encouraged to use the one in the kitchen whenever we liked.

Pros: The room was big and clean with an living room area. The owner was really nice. Continental breakfast was ok, nice coffee. It was good for the short stay on the way to Lourdes.
Cons: Payment with credit card would be good. The breakfast could include some cheese / charcuterie or Müsli as in other B&B in the region.
Pros: The woman running the hotel was charming and knowledgeable. She speaks elegant English. The house is enormous and very old with lots of history and a warm feeling. You just know if the walls could talk as well you would be listening forever. Loved every minute. If you get a chance to visit the caves below the abbey they are apparently amazing. I had to leave before they opened at 11 am unfortunately.
Cons: Tuesday, Wednesday the bar restaurant was closedin the village as were nearly all in neighbouring village of Peyhorade. Rural France. Pizza van was good though and there is and back in Sorde there was a little van bar open by the canoe hire place just passed the amazing Abbey.
Pros: charming old beautifully restored French property in a lovely village - big rooms and very comfortable - English communication no issue
Cons: no restaurant in the village meant a drive to the next town
Pros: old and beautiful house with large rooms. Intermarche close by (5km), very pretty setting all-round.
Cons: we liked everything but missed a TV and airco (this is rural tourism so it's not expected).

Cons: Nowhere to eat in the village
