Gran Hotel Domine Bilbao

A treat for weary travelers, this hotel was a bit of respite from the cadence of sightseeing. The rooms were spacious and well laid out. Service was professional and efficient. The details of this luxury hotel were the icing on the cake - turn down service, aromatherapy sleep spray, complimentary robe and slippers. Proximity to the Guggenheim and promenade is unbeatable.

Great location across from the Guggenheim (10 minute walk from the City Centers, Bilbao is small). This is arguably a 5 star facility charging much lower than comparable places anywhere else. Valet parking service, but remember to go to the alley behind the hotel, where there is an entrance that is much better for dropping off the car, and to unload your luggage. Excellent Gym with very new equipment. Lovely Bar with skilled bartenders.

The lighting system in the room was a little problematic...... Either the Master was "on" for any lights to work (if Master was "off", could not turn on bathroom lights to shower, while keeping the room lights off so my wife could keep sleeping)....

Hotel has a top-floor terrace, which makes its excellent breakfast even better - with views on its Guggenheim Bilbao and skyline

The Terrace bar is closed at 22-00 pm. Which is disappointing itself as it is well too early for a wine bar but what was really bad that even hotel's guests were forced to leave the terrace as the hotel simply closes the floor so you cannot stay and enjoy Bilbao sunset and night panorama!

Sublime beauty

This hotel was sublime — a fitting pair with the Guggenheim across the street. Don’t skip breakfast on the rooftop terrace — likely the best place to see the museum, and the food was standout.

Bathroom’s a little strange: Great tub, but wet room ahower’s weirdly placed.

Staff were incredible and location couldn't be beat. Parking was only €5 per day. Great restaurants with super views of Guggenheim.

Air conditioning in our room didn't work. Refrigerator was broken and there were moldy things inside.
