Pros: Excellent property, exquisite facilities, both owners and staff are super friendly and caring. We were treated as nobility. Mr. Eyholzer (the owner) was so kind to reach out to us personally every day throughout a day during our stay, even at breakfast welcoming us and other guests and asking us about breakfast options. Cleanness is definitely top priority for the hotel, our room was cleaned every day very carefully and delicately. The hotel provides comfortable transfer from Bettmeralp cable car station offering a small but lovely truck with some passenger capacity! Breakfast is fantastic with superb assortment of Swiss cheese, awesome yogurts and beverages, several types of fried/scrambled eggs on demand. The view from the room is really one of a kind with amazing panorama of Mischabel Bergmassiv peaks including magnificent Dom, Weisshorn and of course Matterhorn! Overall superb hotel.
Cons: A small fridge in the room would be a nice addition to the junior suite but a perfect experience overall.
Pros: Stunning location, nice staff, great breakfast, good food, nice room: everything was perfect
Cons: the owner was almost too keen to be of your assistance, but other people like this perhaps
Pros: I stayed on 4th floor, at end of September in double room. Excellent breakfast and evening meals, staff very friendly, great views from hotel and located a few minutes from two of the main lifts in the area. Excellent hiking nearby. Bettermalp is a small resort and quiet off season, but that was ideal for me.
Cons: No lift, so if on top floors could be be tough getting to room after a hard days ski/hike might be hard for older people
Pros: Chris is the quintessential host of the Chalet Bettmerhof! He and his staff provided friendly, attentive, and personalized service in all aspects of our stay. Our breakfasts and dinners in the hotel were beautiful and delicious. My husband and I had the superior double room with balcony and the Matterhorn view. It was spacious, quiet , with a comfortable bed, and the views did not disappoint. Hiking recommendations were excellent and appropriate for our level. After libations on their lovely patio, we enjoyed their sauna facilities. We hope to return here someday.
Pros: Excellent and sufficient breakfast, very good and tasty meals in both restaurants. And very fine view from the upper restaurant´s terrace. Quite recently renovated rooms are tidy and clean and feature nice wooden panelling. The best thing, however, is the welcoming, friendly and helpful staff! Everything seemed to work so smooth and easily, even though it must have been quite busy especially during evening meals.
Cons: Really hard to find any negative aspects or something that I didn´t like during my stay at the hotel.
Pros: Breakfast v nice with plenty of choose. Owner is nice and polite
Cons: room without any view even spent few days living here, quite disppointed
Situated in car-free Bettmeralp, Hotel La Cabane offers you alpine-style rooms with balconies, free Wi-fi and free wellness facilities including a sauna and a steam bath. A rich breakfast buffet with locally sourced products provides for a good start. The La Cabane at 2000 metres above sea level is a great base for exploring the UNESCO-protected Jungfrau-Aletsch region in the Swiss Alps. The Bettmerhorn and Schönbiel cable car stations are only 100 metres away.
Pros: The hospitality of the staff was very good. It was very helpful for us to explain carefully and carefully how to use the hotel . We are not good at English and can not speak German, but We had a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. We are very grateful. We would like to visit again if there is an opportunity.
Pros: got a fond memory of my stay 20 years ago, I found a renovated hotel with a nice terrace and an excellent restaurant.
Pros: The room is big and clean. The staff is very helpful and nice.
Pros: Exceptional cleanliness, lovely south facing garden to relax in after a days walk Charming staff, attentive but unobtrusive. Super breakfasts. Would certainly return
Cons: Slightly dated (but charming) and tiny bathrooms but the space in the bedroom was excellent and there was a very “living room”
Pros: The best hotel in Bettmeralp - clean, comfzy and cosy rooms, lovely owner families who look after all the needs of guests, provide tailored services to guests and cares about environment, excellent location and fantastic views, healthy and delicious foods, etc.
Pros: I would absolutely stay here again, the hotel had a lovely atmosphere, a fantastic breakfast and the rooms were spotless and incredibly comfortable. And the views! I can't say enough good things about this place.
Pros: Good location. Nice view. Very thoughtful staff and service. Good breakfast. Comfortable room with excellent balcony. Very conveniently located w.r.t. the lift station to the valley.
Cons: Cash payment only, not a big issue but somewhat unexpected in this day and age.

Pros: Beautiful panorama, good location ,tranquility , good breakfast and nice to my cat :)
Pros: The staff were just great! They really went out of their way! Also, we had parking just in front!
Cons: I thought it was a bit expensive but it is true that we had a big room a bit last minute.
Pros: The owners
Cons: All was good

Cons: Not a comfortable chair in the hotel - room nor lobby area!
Pros: Beautiful location
Cons: The TV and wifi did not work; no blinds nor curtains
Pros: Very nice and quiet village with old wooded houses. New hotel with serviceminded staff, we were welcomed by a handshake! Clean and high standard.
Cons: The kids wished for better Wifi connection in the room.
Pros: Personnel made us feel at home. Spacious spotless room. View from the balcony. Big bathroom. Good shower. Good dinner and breakfast.
Cons: We had to drag the suitcase from the parking to the hotel. It's a short walk, however, if the weather is not good, it could be a bit unpleasant. We wish it's possible to be flexible with the salt for dinner and have less salt for some dishes.
Pros: The room was very new and spacious. The bathroom was very big and everything was clean and tidy. The beds were very comfy although the pillows were a bit too soft. It is a wooden house so you can actually smell the wooden smell every second - I loved it but not sure whether it will be the same for everyone. The garden view was spectacular, we enjoyed the view very much. The staff were all very nice and friendly so we felt very welcomed and at home.
Cons: There was only wifi in the public space (lobby and restaurant) so we had to go out if we want to use the wifi. However, since our room was on the ground floor, we managed to get some reception near the room door so this wasn’t a big issue for us. There was no supermarkets nearby so it was a bit inconvenient but the surrounding area was very peaceful and quiet so this was just a minor thing for us. The breakfast was a bit basic for us but the staff did kindly made us some scrambled eggs so it wasn’t too bad for us.
Cons: Location of this hotel is remote, there are many flies and mosquitoes in the house, the breakfast is very poor, the toilet water facilities are blocked, the service attitude is poor. The most abominable thing is, unexpectedly rely on us to block, angry me, obviously the original is blocked, we can check in the comment area, before there are complaints about water facilities blocking, really abominable.
Pros: The property represented extremely good value for money. The room was fresh and clean, bathroom excellent and the bed was very comfortable. We were able to park right outside and the owner of the property greeted us personally, nice touch. I need to mention the breakfast, we were served local produce, with wonderful eggs and local meats and cheeses, great coffee !!!!
Cons: The only thing I would criticise would be the multi coloured duvet cover and bedding, and colourful towels in the bathroom - I always think white bedding and linen is the best, it always looks clean and fresh. The towels and bedding were very clean and Brand new (tag was still on one of the towels ;) it is just the coloured fabrics wear very quickly, and never look as fresh. I know it is a small thing but just something that I thought was worth mentioning. Another small thing, block out blinds on the windows would be a good idea, we were on the ground floor and there was a sensor light near the front door, that was activated a few times during the night and shining into our bedroom, the curtains were quite thin and did not block the light. Just a small thing, but worth investigating.
Pros: The breakfast and dinner were delicious and freshly prepared. Our kids liked the fact that there was a barn right next to the hotel. The apartment was spacious and very clean. A great house to spend a ski vacation!
Pros: Very friendly owner. Hotel and restaurant focused on natural, locally sourced food and Earth friendly accomodations.
Cons: The bed was too hard

Pros: Great location, excellent dinner and very friendly staff
Pros: The food and the friendly service are top!
Cons: the bed matratze is a little bit hard on my taste
Pros: We felt at home in this hotel. Our hostess was warm and kind and took good care of us. We were even invited to the family party. Our room was clean, well appointed and cozy. All walls are covered with wood, giving a warm alpine feeling. We had a large balcony with magnificant views. The place is extremely quiet and there are double layers of curtains, so we had a good night's sleep. Dinner was carefully prepared and every course was delicious. Breakfast was simple but with fresh products. There are many hiking trails around the hotel. We walked to Ze Binn and then to Binn. Great views throughout the hike and not many people. The hotel also has ample parking spaces. We were so glad we found this place. We'd recommend it to anyone who wishes to explore the Binntal region.
Cons: We coudn't stay longer.
Pros: Very friendly staff and amazing mountain view!
Pros: Very quiet and rural location, just what we were looking for. Friendly & accommodating staff. Good restaurant.
Pros: Excellent service and food
Pros: Very quiet at night, even though next to the road. Beautiful area and within easy access of both Ernen and the Binntal. One of the rare hotels whose rooms aren't overheated! Very accommodating staff (evening meal available after 9pm).
Pros: The place was really cozy and the staff went above and beyond for us. They helped us plan our travels and even drove us to the closest bus stop to make sure we caught it in time.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and multilingual staff. Self parking (subject to charges) is available onsite.
Pros: Perfectly located hotel in proximity of all sorts of entertainment possibilities and within walking distance of ski-lift to reach the Fischer gletsjer area. Staff is extremely kind-hearted and eager to assist. Rooms were tidy and clean. SPA has a wonderful view and is well-provided. Restaurant offers some of the best milkshakes (frappés) I have ever tasted.
Cons: Beds are unfortunately very soft with pillows that provide little head support. Even double-folding provided near no-support. Extra pillows available on demand but of same type. Parking is not included in price and quite expensive at 8to12 CHF/day.
Pros: Very clean, modern & comfortable hotel
Pros: New hotel, with new facilities and renovated rooms.
Cons: No blackout curtains in the room, which means lack of privacy in the evenings and waking up with sunrise (6.30am). Also felt like I slept on a mattress protector rather than a proper and soft flat sheet—wasn’t comfortable at all. Sheets in general were not soft. Service in the restaurant took forever for a simple cake. Nobody paid attention to the customers waiting to be served. Did not receive a guest card for Bellwald when checking in.
Pros: Beautiful, brand new hotel with lovely spa area.
Pros: Food was amazing! Staff were lovely

Pros: really nice place to stay over, access by cable car from the valley, be sure to check the schedule
Pros: best location up to Eggishorn and to explore Fiescheralp
Cons: loud music near around
Pros: Great location. Ski in/ski out and a storage room for ski equipment less than 10 steps from taking your skis off. Also heaters to hang boots on overnight or dry them out! We had our chocolate lab with and hotel was very dog friendly. Room was spacious and balcony had an awesome view.
Cons: WiFi in our room was spotty, but good in bar and restaurant. But we were there to ski and enjoy Switzerland, not spend time in internet, so didn’t matter.
Pros: Harold was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautifully and cosy. It is simple but very well designed. The view is absolutely stunning. the restaurant is also very good. Highly recommended.
Pros: The location is great! Right on the ski slopes, at the top of the ski lift from the valley. Friendly staff, easy access to ski storage room, sauna & hot tub, beautiful view from the room.
Cons: Just one thing: the hotel is too warm at night. We literally had our terrace door wide open even though it was freezing outside, in order to have a cool room.
The cosy Berghotel Derby is a quiet place in Fiesch close to the narrow Rhone river, only a 5-minute walk from the centre. It is the perfect place for your hiking, biking or climbing holidays. The Derby hotel is located in the wonderful Goms valley in the unique Aletsch area with the longest glacier of Europe (Unesco protection). The Berghotel Derby is well known for its balanced breakfast buffet. Half board (dinner) is available as well in cooperation with a neighbouring restaurant. There is also a bar at the hotel. Guests enjoy free tea and coffee throughout the day. There is a shoe drying machine at your disposal. A storage room for ski and bike equipment is also available. A free pick-up service from the Fiesch Train Station is provided.
Pros: The staff were very helpful and this was one of the easiest check in and out processes of any hotel in Switzerland. Room was very comfortable with a lovely wrap around balcony overlooking the gorge and mountains. The small details of providing wash cloths (plus extras), extra pillows, free wifi, tissues are becoming uncommon these days and was a pleasant surprise. Plenty of hot water in the shower and a comfortable bed.
Cons: The breakfast was a bit limited (mostly store bought items) and the coffee was not good. Some more options would be nice.
Pros: Christine is friendy and helpful! She provided transportation between the hotel and train station for us. Breakfast was excellent.
Pros: The breakfast is awesome
Pros: The owners of the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Internet connection was great.
Cons: Was a bit colder in the room, but during the night was quite ok.
Pros: Everything is prefect! You must to live here!
Pros: View from the room. Owners and staff very helpful.
Pros: They went above and beyond to be helpful to us. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was outstanding. A wonderful experience and reasonably priced!
Cons: We have no complaints. Very happy with our stay.

Cons: more spacious room, more pillows (or bigger pillow) in bed.

Cons: Small room for two persons

Pros: Kitchen quality and staff
Cons: Room quality
Offering a sun deck and a garden with a playground, this hotel overlooks the Alps in the music village of Ernen. The on-site restaurant serves regional food. With free Wi-Fi and a balcony, all rooms at Hotel Alpenblick offer a work desk and cable TV. Each of the modern rooms comes with a private bathroom with a shower. Seasonal cuisine like fresh asparagus and deer carpaccio with cheese are served in Alpenblick’s restaurant. Through the windows, guests can admire views of the garden and mountains. The hotel also offers free parking and is a 20-minute drive from Zauberwald and Landschaftspark Binn. The village centre is just 200 metres away.
Pros: Very nice staff. The dinner and breakfast were both good. The village is beautiful and the hotel is only 3 minutes walk from the bus stop.
Pros: Welcoming evening male excellent and efficient. Good safe, dry bicycle storage.
Cons: Morning breakfast waitress rather fearsome. Shame the restaurant was closed during our Sept. visit. Limited places to eat in the village.
Pros: Lovely location in a beautiful village.
Pros: The rooms are functional and we liked the terrace. Dinner was good with a nice wine list. Staff friendliness was a highlight. Thank you!
Cons: One of the two mattresses in room 11 needs replacement as the springs can be felt and the upholstering has partially vanished.
This traditional 3-star hotel in the car-free village of Bettmeralp offers panoramic views of the Valais Alps and the Matterhorn. The Bettmeralp Cable Car is just 400 metres away. Furnished in a rustic Alpine style with bright wooden furniture, the rooms at Panorama Hotel & Restaurant feature satellite TV, a safe, and a bathroom with hairdryer. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. The restaurant serves traditional Swiss cuisine. Guests can relax on the Panorama Hotel’s sun terrace.
Pros: Location, comfortable room
Cons: Weak wifi signal even in the common area
Pros: Location, Comfortable Layout of Room
Cons: Ground floor room right next to a small road. Woken up quite early by loud noise of several snow groomers (PistenBully) on their way to prepare the ski slopes. Hotel can’t be held responsible for this but I would not want this room during ski season again.
Pros: Nice people
Cons: Rooms could need some little details to make them cozy. New curtains. Blanket on the bed for color. Maybe have a bottle of Hahnewasser and 2 glasses and a water cooker in the room. Change the pictures. Just this little extra would be nice....
Pros: Ski-ing season visit. Friendly welcome. My bedroom was wood-panelled with a gorgeous Alpine smell of this wood when I walked through the door. Comfy beds, down pillows and duvets, I think. Bedroom windows are traditional for the style so it's more difficult to have a little bit of a window open for air during the night. Very good heating if you want it. In the basement is the ski-room where your skis/shoes/poles/helmet dry out overnight and are safe. After check-out you can leave your belongings at the hotel all day.
Cons: The breakfast is pleasant for a couple of days; I would have liked more choice over a longer stay (eg would be good to have nuts, dried fruits, more choice of fruit than the prepared fruit-salad). It is a breakfast that is bread-tastic, cereal-tastic, dairy-tastic, plus preserves, with some cheese and cold meat choices, or a boiled egg to order. It is a pleasant breakfast, nevertheless.
Pros: Great location.
Cons: Room and bathroom quite small. No elevator.
Pros: Good location. Breakfast is ok. Big room and bathroom
Cons: Although the room was large it had no charm and we had a view on the parking. The staff was cold and almost rude, not at all available. Too expensive for what it is
Located on a sun terrace in Bellwald, Hotel Zur alten Gasse offers a balcony with panoramic views of the Valais Alps in each room. Free WiFi is provided. Renovated in 2016, the rooms at Hotel Restaurant Zur alten Gasse offer cable TV, a work desk, and a bathroom with hairdryer. They offer views of Matterhorn and Weisshorn mountains. Free access to the spa is provided. It features a fitness centre, indoor pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub and infrared cabin. Guests can enjoy a rich breakfast buffet and a range of creative Swiss and international dishes at the restaurant, which was awarded 13 points by Gault Millau. Geneva is 189 km away, while Zürich Airport is 200 km away.
Pros: We had lots of problems en route to the hotel as we were travelling in the evening and the roads were iced over but the staff at the hotel made sure that someone was able to get us checked in even though we arrived at 01:30AM and there is not a 24 hour reception. The staff were very friendly and tried their best to speak with us even if they didn’t speak much English. The spa area was very nice with a big jacuzzi, pool, steam room and sauna, refreshments and fruit were also available. The rooms were very spaces with extremely comfortable beds and modern clean bathrooms. The local area is beautiful and perfect if you come to ski or snowboard but there’s not much else to do. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer!
Cons: The New Year’s Eve dinner cost 115CHF which definitely wasn’t worth it as two of the courses were soups that tasted the same. We had to wait 1 hour between each course which meant we were there for 4 hours without eating barely any food! The only course which was worth eating was the beef and I was still hungry when I had finished everything, therefore I am not happy with how much we paid for this.
Pros: Stuff is so awesome!!!! And helpful! I got sick the day we arrived they made me a special home made garlic tea that I described to them for the next 2 days! They’re kind and helpful some of them doesn’t speak English very good but there’s always someone with fluent English. Spa facilities were PERFECT!!! Especially jacuzzi view... They have simple breakfast but good one. Our view was perfect. Right in front of the ski cable car with mountain view.
Cons: A kettle would be nice in the rooms if you wanna make tea cause the restaurant closes early if you’re sick or something or you just wanna eat/drink something in your room, small kettle would help A LOT!!! Bar area closed. It’s so tiny but if they open it would be better. Also the fireplace in front of the bar was always off so would be cosier if they burn some woods cause that’s what it’s all about in ski hotels! If they open the bar even if the restaurant closes at least you can order some drinks later on...
Pros: - room was clean and renovated - spa and fitness was spacious, clean and very nice - food was very good
Cons: - poor Wifi - towels and water was not always there - food was good but very expensive, the portions were very small - even the restaurant was not that full, it took almost 1h of waiting for food
Pros: People and atmosphere gigantic! Mountain view great. Wellness parlor amazing!
Pros: - Perfect location, right next to the ski lift - Great pool / spa area - very professional massage therapists - excellent restaurant with fair prices - very friendly reception, restaurant and spa staff
Cons: - Dirty towels were not replaced although they were lying on the floor - No amenity products in the room (water, toiletries)
Pros: Very friendly staff Nice room with new bathroom Very comfortable bed Nice view from the balcony New spa and wellness with everything you need

Pros: The views and how clean the room was!
Cons: Opening times of the Sauna
Pros: The jacuzzi, steam , pool.. allnof it was super. Dinner at the restaurant was amazing. The chef is superb.
Pros: Good breakfast, good facilities, spacious surrounding, helpful staff.
Cons: Spa area had limited opening hours (from 15:00) - weather was extremely poor when we visited, so the possibility for a visit earlier in the day would have been nice.
Pros: It was very clean, and staff was very friendly
Pros: Great staff, very good breakfast.
Pros: Away from the town, so nice and quiet for a good night’s sleep. The indoor swimming pool at no extra cost. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Parking outside the hotel.
Cons: The T.V. screen was very small.
