Although Alla Posta is "only" a three-star hotel, I have to admit that it is one of the best hotels I have ever spent a night in, and I have been to many. The hotel building itself is very beautiful, the rooms are decorated with taste, and the hotel staff showed unparalleled friendliness and expertise. on top of this, the town of St. Vincent is extremely pittoresque. I can highly recommend Alla Posta!
The position of the hotel is excellent - right in the middle of St Vincent and ideal if you just want to stroll around. Although the room was small it was very clean and we had a great balcony that looked over the church. The breakfast was adequate. No English speaking TV
Warm welcome from the owners
rustic and rural, typical Italian alpine town, its in the centre of town best place to be, pedestrianised, but easy access by car, nice for and after dinner passiagiata. Family run and very kind and helpful, personal touch always best. church bells in about breakfast time gives a real alpine touch.would come back again if you want 5 star hotel for 3 star money. stay in the city with the rest of the tourists.
Lovely hotel, great location, very nice staff. The ladies treated my children wonderfully. Not a particularly great hotel for small children, but still, we enjoyed it.
The room was large, comfortable and has a great balcony with a beautiful view. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was our favorite hotel of this trip. The food at the restaurant was very good and a fair price. We would definitely stay here again.
The staff were very hospitable. They were also eager to give suggestions for snowboarding and gave us special treatment during our meal there with drinks on the house.
location, staff attitude breakfast
The location was nice on the pedestrian street. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The Hotel Diana is modern, clean and well-situated. The staff is attentive. The price is reasonable. Our stay was perfect.
A comfortable modern hotel, situated some distance from the town of Aosta on the other site of the motorway. Very peaceful, on-site restaurant and bar. Rather difficult to locate. A GPS or much patience is required.
welcoming ad more or less what we expected A bit far out from the town
Comfortable room, very helpful staff, high quality dining. Not a wide choice of dishes on the menu.
Loved the hotel from the moment we walked in and had a nice reception. Rooms were well appointed with the most enormous beds. Fabulous views from the windows Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for some essential work but the buffet breakfast was great.
Nice decoration, hotel, breakfast, service, clean room. Just 5 min by car to the Pila-Aosta ropeway (cabinovia) and to the city. Nice garden in a nice residential area. Free parking of the hotel.
Plenty of room og quite surroundings. We were missing a fitness room.
Old and seemingly unclean rooms. Some unhelpful staff. Poor selection for breakfast. Far too expensive for what you get!!
i like a lot the swimming pool the staff
Good room, friendly staff, good food, nice setting. Attached to a Casino, quite a surprise!
The hotel is in a beautiful location, St. Vincent is a lovely town and the scenery is spectacular. The exterior of the hotel is quite beautiful and the grounds are really lovely. The included breakfast was nice, although not as much choice and lower quality than other 4 star properties we stayed at during this 6 week long trip. The staff were efficient and friendly. The room was quite outdated in terms of furnishings and finishes There was no airconditioning and with a 29C day it was sweltering, making sleep almost impossible. The lock for the door was barely secure and paint was peeling all around the room which was very surprising for a property with a 4-star rating.
Pool area was excellent Website 'sold' the hotel as something it was not (i.e. did not expect to be so close to built up areas and expected more surrounding countyside/grounds). Also, area out the back is more modern and clinical.
fantastic service and very comfortable when we arrived the reception staff said they had been trying to contact us that day to cancel our booking. Didnt get to the bottom of this but it was rather surprising
The look of the hotel from the highway The room knew better days.... It should be renovate as soon as posible
Enjoyed our stay very much!
The Hotel is really beautiful and clean. The staff is pleasant and discreet and really dedicated. The rooms on the casino side are noisy when opening the windows (I guess that the air conditioning of the Casino is an old system)
Excellent base for skiing in Gressoney - situated at the head of the valley, not more than a minutes walk to two of the main lifts, taking you to some excellent intermediate slopes. Hotel staff were excellent and could not do enough to help. Ideally suited for couples or families. Could not fault the hotel in anyway. Only downside was that they don't take Amex as advertised on Bookings.com - They did inform us that this was the case as we arrived and that they had asked for this to be changed on the website.
Spacious and newly renovated rooms. Location next to the cableway station: excellent for mountain excursions in summer and for skying in winter (consequently far from the village centre) Barely sufficient breakfast based on standard/industrial products and no product of the territory. Very kind staff but a bit insecure in handling basic activities such as check-out.
A very new hotel in an amazing setting. The staff and ownership were friendly and flexible. A very proactive group trying to improve and please we’ve noticed many of the negative comments already dealt with. Looking forward to trying them in the Winter! Go chalet du lys go…
we really enjoyed our stay. the location is practically ski in - ski- out, the staff is very service - minded, very good breakfast and good prizes!:)
we had problem to find the hotel, the gps didnt find the adress
Convenient location for transit, next to highway. Large room, clean. Very unpersonal look and feel. Very average breakfast. Noisy area (highway, aerodrome), opening a window is not an option. I wanted to work a few hours and the wifi was not working ("we had heavy rains 2 days ago...").
Visited Aosta and it was beautiful.
Found hotel was not what it use to be and has changed ownership staff not interested in customers needsnothing else to say poor everything
They claim that they have wifi in the rooms, but they do not.
Very warm welcome, room fine. Location (after Mont Blanc tunnel) ideal for travelers heading for central Italy from Cherbourg. Pet friendly: of particular value to us because we were traveling with a cat. Ease of making a reservation for our return journey to Cherbourg in September. It is a pity (see about cat) that there is so much construction work around the hotel that encroaches on the grounds.
Very helpful staff, clean, calm enviroment, plenty of public lounge space, good sized rooms. As we were staying for 7 nights we were upgraded which made a real difference to our stay and was a welcomed gesture. There is building going on adjacent to the hotel which spoilt our view. This will impact on the view of many rooms. The breakfasts were truly awful and not what we expect from a 4 star hotel though they improved slightly towards the end of our stay.
THe excellent waiter. Closing the pool at 8 p.m. seems restrictive.
excellent staff, good sized room, well designed and clean hotel, good breakfast. Access to the underground car park could be better organised and signed
A nice hotel, parking was actually free, not the 8 Euros advertised, clean and tidy quite large room Jacuzi was cold so not what I expected, a good 15 min walk to the town centre, a nice hotel, but just not 4 star quality. only 1 person on the reception, happy to do thier job but not over friendly, and the room faced the train line a few meters away, so was quite noisy at night. Still, a "nice" hotel, nothing special.
Clean rooms, pleasant staff and good location to access the gondolo for Pila. Also very nice to get back to hotel after a hard days sking and chill out in the warm waters of the pool and jacuzzi.
Hotel was clean and warm and staff were friendly. Location was further out of the town than expected. Breakfast service was slow and frustrating - kept running out of clean tables, bowls, cutlery, food on the buffet.
IT'S ALL REALLY GOOD Maybe the swimming pool could be enlarged a little bit, and the hotel, even if it's really beautiful, could seem a little expensive
Very stylish and cosy hotel. Exceptional architecture.
The room was a good size and comfortable Unenthusiastic welcome as reception - limited restaurant menu - food average quality
Secure free underground garage. Super room. Good food and service. Needs a bigger sign on the main road as it is set back and easy to miss. Bathroom was a triumph of design over practicality. However it was spotlessly clean and large.
What I liked about this hotel was that even though it was central to the village it was peaceful. The staff were very helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble.
Very helpful and informative staff, secure parking, clean rooms. Good range of breakfast foods. Central location offered multiple choice for evening 'eating out'
Very helpful staff and great breakfast to kick-off the day! The wireless/wired connection was free only for 2hrs despite the fact that in your website it's mark as free!! they accept that and gave me a free pass for the internet...
The hotel is located in the middle of champoluc, 5 minutes far from the ski areas. All the people working for the hotel are very kind and ready to help you.
Relais des Glaciers is located at the southern end of Champoluc, about 1/2 mile from the ski lift. The bus from Milan stops in front of the hotel, as does the local bus. The local bus costs 1 euro per trip. Hotel staff is friendly, knowledgable and efficient. Breakfast has standard, European cold fare, with local cheeses and very good croissants.
