Great location in downtown. We decided to stop in during a long road trip for the night and it was a great stay. The staff was friendly and helpful and there were many restaurants in walking distance. There was also and indoor pool to keep our kids occupied and full breakfast in the morning. The beds were a little on the firm side for my liking, but that's just me personally.
clean, comfortable room but the coffee maker did not have a basket to hold the coffee and filter so we could not make coffee when we got up. The price seems a little high for the quality of the room and for having to pay an additional $10 to park in the adjacent parking garage.
The staff were very accommodating, friendly and professional. The design and decor was beautiful and my room was very tasteful. Clean and comfortable! I have nothing bad to say about this hotel.
Every single person we interacted with - from the bellhops to the concierges to the bar and restaurant staff - treated us with truly above and beyond hospitality and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I have traveled extensively and don't think I have ever had such uniformly excellent and personalized service at a hotel. During our stay we requested to change our reservation to a larger room and extended our stay by a few days, and we ordered room service several times (really delicious and pretty reasonably priced) with some modifications for vegan diet and these requests were all accommodated very graciously. Following a most minor, really negligible, issue with a room service order we got a handwritten apology note from the general manager and voucher for complimentary drinks at the hotel bar. (The drinks were very good. The bar has a great cocktail list.) The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and and well appointed, with a nice view of downtown Birmingham. The hotel is right in the heart of downtown, convenient to many bars, restaurants, the art museum, other major buildings etc. There's a parking lot just across the street and easy street parking around, but we didn't even drive so much because there was a lot right within walking distance. I could not recommend the Redmont more highly. Will definitely stay here on any future visit. Literally nothing
the location The hotel is remodeling. Room was clean. bathroom floor was dirty. Elevator, hallways were dirty.Towels were small and thin. Bed was comfortable & new. Otherwise I would have refused to stay there.
There was absolutely nothing to love about this hotel. It is the worse hotel I have ever stayed at in my life. The rooms were not clean - I found crumbs in 'clean' bed. The floor was not vacuumed and the curtain had holes in it. The pool had dirt and broken toilets in it. Don't stay here. You can find a much better hotel 15 minutes away for sure.
Nothing. This hotel needs to not be offered as an option. This place is nasty. Rooms filthy. Inspections out of date. Staff is rude. Nothing is clean. Terrible neighborhood. Noisy. Even the TV is poor quality. I could not find anything positive about this stay and only stayed to avoid losing money.
The rooms were very recently renovated and everything in the room was brand new. The location was terrible, it was right next to the homeless shelter. Also the exterior appearance was pretty rough.
Front desk staff responded adequately to my needs Lobby and elevators very dirty and shabby. They are remodeling, should have begun there. The key for my first room wouldn't work. Second room heat barely worked, third room was fine, but tile floor was dirty.
The hotel was close to my event. The staff was courteous and nice. The room was not clean at all. There were cigarette ashes in the bathroom floor(a non smoking room). There were multiple hairs in the tub and on the hanging towels! And the floor was completely dirty obviously not swept or mopped.
The location to my destination It looked run down from the outside. The rooms looked old & outdated
