swimming pool the room was a bit shabby -bathroom the guy next door smoked hanging out side the window and there were tab ends all over the flat roof outside It was not as nice as the other 2 stays
We booked the hotel because hotel had a multi-million pound update. Unfortunately we were put in one of old rooms not refurbished. The hotel accommodated us when we explained we booked the hotel on-line because of the refurbishment and we were moved to a more suitable room
Heating did not work very good,only cold air and it was -6 outside.
Our room was booked from 3pm, but there was no twin room ready when we checked in at 4pm, yet they wouldnt allow us a late checkout either, that was unreasonable. Also, food was a v basic bar menu, or a la carte expensive fine dining or the middle option was a buffet which costs £33 per head and was a total rip off. A glass of wine ws £7.95. Do not recommend eating here. Although breakfast was included in our rate, we couldnt pay the £3.50 tray service to have it delivered to our room, we would also have to pay an additional £20 for the breakfast!! I think the website should inform you of this and I think it is unfair.
leisure facilities, close to nec
All staff I came into contact with, the checking- in staff and particularly the concierge staff were excellent, pleasant and extremely helpful. Obviously, as it is near the NEC it was quite crowded and noisy in parts/

the menu choice and the food and service in the restaurant was excellent, the rooms were very comfortable as well. When I was arriving to find the hotel (however it was in the darkness) I felt that there could be better directional signage for the hotel on the surrounding roads.
Everything was very nice,the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was only about 10 min walk from the nec. The meals were a bit to expensive.
Location - Near NEC and Birmingham Airport Rooms tiny with single bed up against wall. No Aircon and advised not to open windows as the Mosquitos will come in. Restaurant expensive for extremely average food.
the late bar and the variety of the restaurents the cost of the restaurent and the fact that a service charge was put on the bill automatically.....even though it was a self service meal??

An excellent location for the airport, NEC and LG Arena. Lack of snacks at the bar especially after 1030pm.

Hideous cost of internet. If MacDonalds, Kuala Lumpur Airport and many coffee shops can offer free Wifi, why can't this hotel? It's a basic necessity like towels and soap.
good location (I was visiting the LG arena), helpful pleasant staff, attractive interior of building no signpost for stairs as alternative to lift
The price i paid for the room and breakfast was excellent. The hotel i find is very welcoming and the staff are attentive and friendly, its location is very good, I felt relaxed and enjoyed my stay. The price of the food and the drinks while staying at the hotel was too expensive, I stay in hotels regularly and your drinks prices are too high.
It was very clean and comfortable It would be great if there was a hair dryer in the room
Staff were pleasant and it was near the nec We could not get the room temperature right and it was cold most of the time.
Pendigos restaurant was not very good
Good situation of hotel. Good facilities Bar very expensive. Very poor evening meal - spatchcock chicken was a disgrace. Better chicken portion in Kentucky Fried Chicken. Complaint made.
I liked the fact that it was so close to the nec The lights in the room were not bright enough - one bulb was out which made it even darker. The heating did not work and they gave us a fan heater which did not work either - the lights in the bathroom failed during the night and the housekeeper took half an hour to fix them so I had to shower in the dark! Not a good experience.
Karl Diggins - Operations Manager - polite/reasonable/took 'ownership' of problem and dealt with me in a very professional manner. Reception staff member - australian or new zealander? - awful! - rude/obstructive and unreasonable... Even hung up via telephonen me whlst problem absolutely no customer service!
It was so close to the NEC The room was so cold. The receptionist said they took 30mins to warm up but even after 4 hours it was not comfortably warm. I was very cold outside but the heating should still be effective.

A good clean hotel, suited the purpose of our stay. Close to Birmingham International Airport Secure Parking. It was a big Hotel and not many people staying there, felt quite chilly at times.

convenience, room compact but comfortable 2 hour wait in The Hub for a cold (supposed to be hot evening meal). Surrounded by uncleared tables. However, empathized with the couple of staff on duty so didn't complain as everyone else seemed to be. Breakfast also a bit chaotic. I can see part of the problem - the kitchen is a long way from the serving area and the logistics are not well designed.
