A beautiful facility in a magnificent setting. The staff was unfailingly courteous and helpful.
Everything (minibar would be ++)
Swimming pool open all day long Narrow car park
The atmosphere no
I found the hotel friendly, humerous and helpful. Although the restaurant was not open I was provided with a lovely snack especially welcome as I had a long day getting there
The twin room was modern, spacious, nice and the outside street noice was kept out very well. The shower was great. The outside and entrance of the hotel are old and dark.
The hotel is in the centre of cote and very handy for visiting the sites of corte and its surroundings. The room was well appointed and clean. The breakfast was good and has to be taken at the adjoing bar/cafe. There is no car parking at the hotel and you eother have tp park in a public car park or find street parking. The hotel staff were helpful in identifying this.
Location Absence of lift; entrance to the building where the hotel is located (at the first floor) is a bit neglected
Excellent location and good value. Free Wi-Fi and modern, clean rooms. Breakfast is located in the restaurant downstairs. Our a/c didn't work, but there was a fan. The restaurant where breakfast is served is not up to the standard of the hotel.
Although the place seems a little strange at first, it is quite conforable and good. The room was spacious and the location of the hotel is very good. Small warderobe, small sheets.
The hotel does not look like a hotel from outside. Its entrance is not much different from a typical apartment in any of old European cities. But it is a real hotel--you will know it once you step into the lobby. The rooms have been renovated (or simply new) and very clean. The breakfast costs only one euro each person, quite unusual for hotels in France. The location is also good. The hotel is in the old district of the town, and every part of Corte is within a short walking distance. Parking can be a problem, but there is a large indoor parking facility nearby if you can't find a spot right in front of the hotel.
Staff member gave helpful directions about walking route into centre of town. Free parking Apppearance of hotel more like an apartment block; very plain
Newly-built apartment, appears to be student accommodation but very quiet, all mod cons provided.
Very new rooms, nice area, nice parking. Possible to check in when after the opening hours. Mail 'em. Elevator didn't work, Airco didn't work, No information about the area or activity's
went on walks in the mountains and used different restaurants in town each night
Modern ,spacious , clean ,easy to find , view of the mountains
Room spotless and well equiped. Staff extremely helpful. Would definitely stay there again.
The studio was just right to stay two nights and make some trips in the mountains. The small kitchwen facility allows preparation of a meal what is very helpfull for young children traveling.
Thanks for nice Time
Good base for walking in the mountains and eating in different restaurants every night
Accomodation was relatively quiet and at discount price of 200 euros for 7 nights was good value for money for a solo traveller. Ensuite facilities were small but functional and of reasonable quality. These facilities could possibly have been larger.
Scenic location and confotable designed villa. Staff had very good hosipitality.
The hotel - which consists of several detached houses - lies among trees, and has the image of a forest hotel. Very romantic, and surprisingly comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. Not easy to find, and by big car getting to the hotel and parking might be difficult. Not recommended for handicapped people, as long and steep stairs connect the houses and the parking lot.
It was close enough to Corte that we could there very easily, and yet escape to this charming quaint little town afterwards, The owner was extremely helpful, and very busy at the same time, and always very friendly. Delightful breakfasts were served to us on our small patio by him, and each of the little cottages afforded a great deal of privacy. The bathrooms were very tastefully decorated and very comfortable for showering, something not necessarily common in southern Europe.
It was actually perfect, spent a great week! The WiFi could be stronger. And cheese for breakfast.:))))
Very helpful and friendly staff
Very nice setting with nice views of the mountains. Very friendly and helpul owner. Parking was a bit limited at the hotel but there were spaces in the village not that far away so not a big problem.
The owner was most helpful and the breakfast was generous and just right. The setting is unique. We ate on he mini-balcony, and although it was cold, the sense of being surrounded by close-up high mountains, in a tiny perched village, was unique. It's not a villa at all. Actually, 5 or 6 very small, unfinished stone cottages. They are badly built, the walls were sweating, the floor wet. The toilet is micro-size, and there are virtually no amenities. The price, 65 Euro/per night, is way too high for this location, so little comfort, and in January. Very perilous road getting there. Also, did not like having to pay through PayPal because the translation into dollars raised the cost another 3%.
Nice staff and atmosphere !
Close to airport Very outdated at the Jardins - ask to stay in the Madrague
Delightful and helpful. Picked me up from the train and on departure dropped me at the airport. Surprisingly quiet and planes hardly noticeable, despite being so close to the airport! (A 3 minute drive). Hotel La Madrague next door had good food and facilities and so no need for a restaurant in Les Jardins. A bar for a nightcap and cool beer by the pool would have been good though! great place, thoroughly recommened. I will go back.
The hotel was perfect and proprietor and staff very friendly and helpful.
The furnishing and all the pretty things that were arranged in the room, in the restaurant and everywhere in the hotel building. The surrounding area outside the hotel area is not very pleasent, but we should only stay there for one night
Staff were very friendly; room was clean and a good size. nice quiet location, even that close to the airport noise was not a problem. Aircon could have been better.
The staff, the style of the hotel and the location (very convenient for Bastia airport) No restaurant or bar, nearest one is just across the road though.
The relaxed athmosphere
The room did not smell too good, the entrence is clean but not more than that, it is a hotel driven by a family.
Nice building, comfortable beds, gentle staff, free internet wifi Walls a little thin, so noisy rooms, you can start hearing the breakfast noises from you room even if it is in the middle of the corridor and the breakfast room is a the end! Not very cured in the details, maybe the realization of the decorations was a little hasty. Anyway a very nice hotel.
Exceptionally helpful staff, beautiful setting, clean, comfortable room and pool area, very quiet - the place to go to relax. Quite isolated therefore, would hire a car next time.
st Florent is interest, clean and lovely city
The location was excellent for harbour/ shops /restaurants & the side balcony had a view of the sea but no balcony seats or even one in the bedroom. Very comfortable bed! 1) Room very cramped with no seating for sitting on balcony. 2)TV was very poor as the picture was unwatchable v fuzzy on all stations.3)The receptionist on arrival & departure was surly & unhelpful although evening staff were very pleasant.
The position is good also if the street is very near and there is a bit of noise. The room is big and not bad. The personal does not care about you if you don't get angry, and the good positioning doesen't giustify the high price.
Main plus - location - very close to town centre/walking distance. Minuses : hotel room standard is does not reflect the pictures presented on the bookings.com website , the fixtures and fittings are dated, rooms rather small, plain unpainted wooden cupboard , no mirror, breakfast v.simple. overall not good value for money. rest of the holiday, stayed at diferent 3 star hotel,- the same price but standard close to 4 star hotel. Sadly do not recommend hotel Santa Maria
its location. I stayed there only one night cannot give more details they gave me back my i.d. after payment. I went around half a day without any document
The bed was very comfortable and the Air-Con fantastic! The view from the balcony was amazing although it would have been nice to have some seats... a small suggestion. The hotel is really a 2* and not the claimed 3* as the rooms were very dated with cheap furniture and the bathroom needed replacing (broken shower). The hotel was good though but just cost too much for what you get, especially when compared to the Best Westerns which were great in comparison and cheaper.
