The staff really were very very good-always a smile !
restaurant on site, good food & value location on industrial estate
we stayed twice at this hotel, once as we went through to Dunkirk and again on the way back, our comments are relevant to both stays
well sited for our journey from Spain to the UK a little too far from the centre of Narbonne to walk, after travelling all day so the choice of restaurants was limited
Very clean, small roadside hotel. Exactly what we expected from the chain. Nearby restaurant looked like a Denny's in America, but the food was way better.
Pleasant staff, nice setting.
Staff were superb and very helpful Location - on an Industrial Estate
The room looked clean, but when I got into bed there was sand in one. I was alone so used the other bed, which was fine. Everything else was clean. V basic. Tv, no fridge, ok shower. One bed was dirty. Location not great - on an industrial estate... Not clear from hotel description!
The beds were so hard it was like trying to sleep on a park bench, not good value for money
friendly staff, good location, pool, restaurant very reasonable found cost of alcohol and soft drinks very expensive compared to hotel next door
very close to the highway, nice dehors for breakfast, staff very friendly directions appearing on the website are totally wrong, get off at Narbonne South, the hotel is nearby. Our room smelled terribly of cigars
convenient for motorway and on-site restaurant open on sunday night The cost of beverages in the bar
Close to the motorway, in fact you can see the hotel as you turn-off, so easy to find. Good standard of facilities for this class of hotel.
Good value for money and free breakfast for the kids. Pool was just what was needed at the end of the day. Lots of choice on eating out in the near vacinity. Bit surprised by the location appearing to be in an industrial estate but the hotel garden hid this well and no problem with noise. Very easy to get to motorway etc.
A nice clean hotel, ideal for a stopover when travelling. Too many mosquitos - I was badly bitten when playing with my child in the play area. It was very hard to find the hotel and the post code on the website did not direct us to the right place when using sat nav.
The hotel was fine, but the directions given by your company were totally wrong, the hotel was in a totally different location to the ones you supplied, it took us two hours to find, and completely ruined our stay at the hotel. I would never recommend your directions to anyone.
hotel was clean I was going to take the train to Spain. Hotel location was not suitable for this purpose.
The hotel was clean and the staff courteous. We booked the hotel as an en route stop over to Spain. A good stop over hotel/
In the center of the town As usual - king size beds are small in France. The room was shabby and the bathroom old.
Old atmosphere nothing
Location was fantastic, very close to the Cathedral and main square. The staff was for the most part, very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious. Hotel is general is very charming and a nice place to stay. We had two twin beds and it would have been nice for my wife and I to have a double or queen bed. The walls of the hotel are thin and you can hear people in other rooms
Close to the old town, comfrtable, clean, and friendly staff.
The staff was great, the rooms a real treat. Breakfast very good, Location ideal. Early morning (municipal) garbage collection on the street gives wake-up call !
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff
On arrival we changed our room from a twin to a double. We were informed that this would also be a cheeper room, therefore they reduced the rate. On check-out the rate had been increased again without informing us. When I questioned this I was met with a very rude responce from the person manning reception and the manageress! Extreamly rude! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone
Very friendly. Good location in Narbonne
Excellent central position near canal and restaurants. Interesting building and history. manageress
The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable N/A
Free Wifi, a bath, close to the motorways, good price Not very big room, distant from any amenaties
Friendly & helpfull staff, comfy bed & good shower - Good Value Decor was a little tired - Could do with a resturant....
Helpful staff. Great facilities....coffee ect Access to outside area for dog. Location good for travellers not far from main routes None
Easy access from motorway.Walking distance to restaurant(s).Reception helpful & friendly for this chain 'motel' offering basic standards that are accceptable for price. No secure car park but apparently no problems historically ! & hotel is set at end of a cul de sac type Rd
That we got a room. If something else near the city were possible to get we had take that instead. I was far away from the citycentre.
The arrangement for a 15% discount at the Ibis hotel restaurant the duck was excillent
fine as a transit stopover and the buffet breakfast was best value for money and the nearby restaurant was convenient
if you go in october expect a windy stay on the plus side they do a good continental breakfast no bar facilities when we were there
The hotel was quiet, clean and convenient, easy to find, decent restaurant nearby.
Pleasant and helpful staff staff
There is little positive to state about this place. The rooms were very small and the property was not maintained.
we stayed at seven hotels during our last visit to france, le phoebus was the cleanest. and staff very helpful.
Bit of a dump really. Overpriced and dowdy nothing to like Dump really needs a good tdy up
Lack of maintenance of grounds, landscaping etc, looks tired. Very little done to improve the appearance. The hotel generally needs refurbishing
Large comfortable room, good bathroom. Paid single price for double room. Breakfast way too expensive. I ate my breakfast in a cafe in town for one third of the price.
It was comfortable, convenient (we had to be in Narbonne but didn't want to stay inland) and clean. A little noisy next to the Casino. The pool was closed - for what reason we weren't told, thus there was nowhere to sunbathe in the hotel complex. It's the first building in Gruissan, so farthest from the sea.
The Staff were extremely pleasant and courtous at all times and made our very short stay a pleasant one, we would certainly use your hotels again Mrs Janet L Stephens
attitude of receptionist location not good in winter. Only one restaurant available nearby with exception of casino which had not a suitable menu
hotel itself was quite ok. we stayed there just one night so it was ok ... a little bit far from the village and beach ... without a car it would be a nice walk and in 30 degrees its not very pleasant :)
Everything. Service and food, room decor particular strength.
A beautiful location among vineyards. A very peaceful place, yet with a car not very far to get to the centre of Narbonne.
A beautiful location, great wine and food. Good service at the reception and in the restaurant. The wine cellar stuff wasn't really helpful. Did not even offer the wine tasting.
The staff were excellent., the cleanliness and care taken and the general atmosphere.
The setting was beautiful and the wine tasting was a really enjoyable experience! The whole 'vineyard' experience was excellent.
The restaurant and wine production room design a bit like motorway hotels totally out of caracter to the rest of the hotel and surorundings
Rooms were spacious and clean. Pool was small but adequate and quiet. The freedom to walk in the vineyards free from traffic was great. Set dinner for €26.00 including wine buffet was good value but menu didn't change. The breakfast was expensive at €12.00 for continentakt breakfast only. Cereal was not included in the breakfast price!
The hotel was friendly and welcoming. Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable. Our room not being available until 16:00 was disappointing
Good Location and recently refurbished so everything is good condition. NO Lift - so if your on the 2nd floor as we were, suitcases had to be dragged up the narrow stairs. Room had all mod cons however too much crammed into such a small space especially in the bathroom which was very tight for space. The restaurant looked great, the food was good however the service was very slow. Some very disappointed diners, including ourselves, the night we had a meal. Breakfast the following morning was no better taking 75 minutes to get a continental breakfast. This is not the staff's fault. They are very hard working and friendly but , from what I observed during our short stay, under severe pressure to deliver the standards of service which the owners aspire to achieve without allocating sufficient resources.
pleasant location, lovely countryside, nice buildings. good breakfast - choice - and inside/outside tables. very helpful maintenance staff (when left key in room - came to assistance); friendly. Interesting to see 'wine business' at close quarters - not an easy sector. no window to open at night (prefer fresh air, not air conditionng; only possible to open french window - not practical as at garden level). Food cooked carefully, but tepid when served; waited almost one hour for service (dinner). Would prefer 'real coffee' (not from flask); minimum interaction with staff (dining room - breakfast) - one had the impression that breakfast was an intrusion as they went about their business (noisy)
Staff were very welcoming and spoke good English. The buildings were very old and interesting although the surroundings (vineyards) made it difficult to go for a walk.
Excellent manager and staff.
Very welcoming hospitality: excellent food; attractive gardens. Room very hot at night even with shutters open - often not possible during strong winds.
Staff made you feel welcome. The rooms had all the basic requirements. Location good for touring. Meals were of a 2/3 star standard but charged at a 4/5 star rate, meal for two was over 120 euros.
Quiet and clean Lack of double beds and poor shower
Comfortable accommodation, friendly and polite staff and management who made you feel welcome and made every effort to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Good food, very kind and friendly staff. Same basic menu throughout stay
The manager did nothing but complain
We were arriving late, they called us to welcome us and confirm our check-in with sincerity. The kitchen was closed, yet they offered to make us a light meal (which was very well presented and sent to our room). They showed us the room explaining all that it offers. Personal and warm hospitality was definately a strong trait. The rooms have there special names knit and hanged on the walls. We felt very comfortable as if we were hosted in our own homes as special guests. Spacious rooms with all needed necessities and beyond. Great value for the cost and an excellent stay. I would recommend the hotels to others and stay there again if I visit carcassone again. No
The Fromage blanc at breakfast was great! Did not have a working iron and ironing board in the room which is not acceptable when you are going to a wedding,
The serene atmosphere and low key aura added slot to our pleasure. Also we loved the area No
Everything - charming owners & staff No
Clean, high quality facilities with friendly and helpful staff.
Hotel was very nice. Unfortunately I was there only one day... Little bit noise, when you have room with street view.
Good location. Only stayed in rooms facing garden- think roadside rooms may be noisy. Nice atmosphere and super comfort room excellent. Breakfast not particularly good value
Clean, comfortable rooms. It has a restaurant that serves interesting food although a bit pricey. Walled parking lot for clients. The hotel sign is small and hard to find in the beginning.
Very good room and facilities in the room. Lovely location with beautiful surroundings. Adequate car parking off - road. Not enough choice on the menu, and very pricey.
