Helpful staff and nothing was a problem for them. Will definitely book again in the future.
Nice rooms, attentive reception staff. Concierge was very helpful and arranged for a staff pass when car park and overflow carpark was full on arrival.
Car park was far too small for the hotel, a lot of the spaces were reserved for other companies etc. The overflow carpark was the travel lodge carpark across the road, this carpark was also too small for the size of the travel lodge never mind as an overflow for Blackpool FC hotel. This issue needs to be addressed. Our room (331) was very noisy, the corridor fire doors were directly outside and squeaked every time they were opened. This meant we had an interrupted sleep both nights/mornings. The breakfast was nice however the service was poor. Four members of staff appeared to be very busy however they did not make eye contact with any guest so it was difficult to make any request. On arrival we waited as many staff walked passed and didn’t acknowledge us. Eventually one came over, we asked for a table for two and gave our room number. We could see several empty tables set up for two however we were shown to the bar area to wait along with many others. 5min later the waitress reappeared pointed at a table and told us to sit at it. No one came near us after this, we helped ourselves to the buffet but we were unable to locate plates for the toast or order tea/coffee. We saw others being served tea and coffee from a large machine so assumed it was not self service but we were never offered any and we tried several times to get the attention of the staff to no avail. Due to this we chose to eat out the following morning. The reception was on the first floor and the entrance was on the ground floor, due to this they operated a buzzer intercom entry. This was a bit of a pain as every time you left the building you had to buzz reception and give them your room number before they opened the door for you to enter. We assumed this would only be operational during the night but it was used all day too. A key fob entry system would be far superior as we constantly felt like we were bothering the staff to be allowed in.
The staff especially the young gentleman concierge...he was MOST helpful.
The fan in the bathroom stayed on ALL OF THE TIME....kept my husband awake.
The hotel was good because it was comfortable for a family of four
