1. The woodland environs of the hotel are very attractive and peaceful; there is good wildlife, and the monastic architecture is interesting. 2. The buildings have been very well restored and adapted, with well modernised and comfortable interiors.
1. It is inconvenient that the hotel does not accept payment by Visa (and certain other widely used international credit cards). 2. We visited in a period of exceptionally hot weather, when the ventilation of the upper rooms seemed inadequate; however, this is probably not a problem under normal conditions.

All of the restaurant’s fish dishes are prepared with catch from the guest house’s own fish farm, to ensure a fresh and delicious dining experience.
