Prompt service. Hotel halls and rooms were "tired".
The hotel is close to airport and shopping and has concenient access to both Minneapolis and St. Paul. We have relatives in both cities so this made our visit convenient to both. The attached restaurant served good food and had friendly servers. If you are used to luxury hotels, this is not that. It's clean and beds are very comfortable. Free breakfast. But it is simple accommodations otherwise. I would label it a budget hotel stay.
Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Regular transport service to the airport and mall (from which I could connect to the Metro train) was great. The bed was too soft - made my back ache.
The price was right, I had no real complaints. Bed was clean and comfortable, location was good. My boyfriend said the pool was too cold.
Bathroom lighting inadequate, no ventilation available either. The absence of ventilation was a nuisance!
Good location I was so tired I cannot sleep they were making too much noise
Location, the soft pillows and having Outback steakhouse connected to the hotel.
I absolutely loved the overnight staff! They were kind and accomadating , they kept a light mood which was nice since i got in at 12. Very helpful. And the room was lovely and the bed was so comfortable i missed breakfast haha I don't have any complaints.
Convenient shuttle to airport and Mall of America, average breakfast, clean, and friendly staff. Pool wasn't usable for young children - too deep.
Desk service, business center breakfast room was dirty and worn. Bathroom had repair issues, seat had been cleaned with a filthy rag or something, bathrrom floor full of dirt imprints, rook carpeting was wet and dirty. Room smelled of sewage every day(mild). HVAC did not have thermostatic controls, light switches on lamps were broken next to beds, now electric outlets at night stand. this list can go on and on
The staff was great! I did feel that the bathroom could have been cleaner. I found several dark hairs in the shower and near the toilet. Other than that, the room was great even while they were doing renovations.
Does that make any sense? This is a 2 star hotel for a reason....dated facilities, older building, musty smell in halls, heavily chlorinated pool, average breakfast. The best part was a friendly staff, easy access/shuttle to MOA an airport, updated beds/carpet, and plenty of towels. They were awesome and let me check in two hours early and check out one hour late. Hotel smelled kinda musty but the AC cranked helped cover it a bit while in the room. The pool was way too deep for young children though. Given the choice, I would opt for a nicer hotel next time.
The dining room food and service exceeded our expectations. I rarely eat in hotel dining rooms because of underwhelming experiences. This was a pleasant surprise. nothing
Very close to the airport and Mall of America. Beds were comfortable and clean. Staff was friendly. Coffee shop in lobby brewed a nice mocha and had a good assortment of pastries While the room was clean, neat, and tastefully decorated, it showed some significant signs of wear, including a very damaged bathroom door.
The bellman & shuttle staff were excellent. Some of the front desk staff weren't as welcoming as I would like, not including Cory who checked me in he was great.
Leaving Bed was horrible. Hotel should have spent less money on a fancy new lobby and upgrade room decor and instead invested in new beds and paint so the hotel doesn't feel like a bad 80s creep shack
Very accommodating with our arrival being in the early AM hours. The clerk extended our check out time due to the late hour which was greatly appreciated.
Location and nice sizes rooms, Bar and restaurant
The staff was very friendly and accommodations were nice. That I hit a button on the tv and accidentally ordered an $18 movie! That is outrageous and I couldn't go back and delete.
We stayed one night for my husband's birthday. I was asked at check in what brought us, and when we came back after dinner, there was a piece of cake and a nice handwritten card. Made our day. It was clean and the pool area is very nice. The salt water pool and whirlpool are wonderful. I love that the whirlpool is circulated with water instead of air, as it is SO much quieter that way and we could visit easily while sitting in the water. At 4am, the room on one side of us had their alarm go off and it took several minutes for them to shut it off. Then, about 5 minutes later, the room on the other side started watching tv so loudly, we finally had to call the desk and ask them to have the patrons turn it down. It was 4am, after all. All of that to say, while the hotel was not responsible for the tv or the alarm - the walls are thin. (the reason for the 4 instead of the 5) We turned on the air conditioner fan as white noise and wished we'd slept all night that way. So - bring ear plugs if night noises bother you...or turn on the fan.
This facility is in excellent shape and very clean. All staff members were very pleasant and eager to make sure we had a great stay. I especially noticed how easy to achieve a comfortable temperature in the room and how quiet the HVAC system was. The temperature didn't seem to fluctuate at all. There wasn't anything to be disappointed in at this location.
Our room was very spacious and comfortable and best of all, quiet. The staff was very friendly at check in and in the restaurant. Breakfast was excellent.
lobby was very nice, shuttle guy took a while to do things but got stuff done. Breakfast was very tasty with a chef making omlets and whatever shape pancake you'd like (one kid got dinosaur shaped ones). breakfast cost quite a bit
After the incident with the Tub, they had a new room ready and room keys brought up to us in a matter of minutes. I was astounded at how quickly they handled the issue on Valentine's Day. The Jacuzzi Tub has a flat top faucet which looks sleek and modern but evidently not the best design. Turned on the water to begin filling the Large 2 person whirlpool and went to the bathroom. I come out to find the top part of this sleekly designed faucet had come off thanks to the cheap adhesive holding it in place and watch was both going in the tub and in front of the tub soaking the surrounding carpet to a sponge like feeling.
My daughter and I felt very safe and welcome. Room was comfortable. Easy to find property. Close to shopping and eating!
It looked nice and up to date The bed was rock hard
It was quiet and clean! We never heard any hallway noise or distruptions from other guests! The staff was helpful, courteous and accommodating! The kayak price that I got was fantastic! We will be back! We really would have liked to have adjoining rooms.I would like a rewards program.
We liked having the shuttle to the Mall of America. The sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. Although the room faced the interstate, it was quiet. The room was smaller than I'd expected, and it wasn't a great price.
The room was nice and clean. I appreciated having a mini-fridge in the room. The omelet at the breakfast buffet was very good. I appreciated that the heat/cooling unit in the room had a "constant air" option to provide white noise. The bartender claimed he didn't know how to make any of the cocktails offered. I found that a bit odd, but he was friendly and we were happy with his service.
The room was a tad small but it was nicely updated. Staff were friendly 14 dollars for their breakfast was a lot for what you got. Has a pool but no hot tub
Everything was great minus one thing The shuttle was 15 minutes late and made us miss a reservation
ideal location to Airport with free shuttle. Staff attentive, rooms fine. No meal facility or bar.
It was very affordable compared to anything else in the Mall of America vicinity. The image of the pool on the website is misleading
Very nice location, worth the price you paid. service is good.
We ended up with rooms that had shower/baths and was advertised to only have showers in the rooms. Also in booking two rooms and staying three nights, we were given one room that had a stove and sink in it also. That was great! We only heard one plane the first night we were there. No problem sleeping. When we used the towels in our room at night for the pool, They were not dry by morning. There weren't extra towels for the pool. The rooms were a little run down (lots of patch jobs) but my husband is a carpenter and we notice these things. Very clean.
i like our stay bec. it is near to mall of america and some malls. I did not like that i saw a pest control vehicle and i believe the guy is fumigating the rooms beside our suite.
The room was v ery large with fridge and microwave. The hotel did not have my reservation. The put me in a smoking room that smelled very bad. The free continental breakfast was bad coffee and packaged muffins. The Front desk was not helpful at all.
Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Funiture in room needed to be upgraded.
I wish to especially commend the man who was the attendant the night I arrived, Friday, July 16th. I arrived late (plane was late) and I had arisen early that morning, and gave a full day's presentation. I took an evening flight from Chicago and I had to be out be 5:30 am for another full day's presentation. He could not have been more caring! I had called from Chicago for directions from the airport to the hotel. He was gracious and welcoming. He made you want to stay at your hotel. When I asked about the time for the continental breakfast, and he said 6:30 - 9:30, I mentioned that I had to leave by 5:30 am. He assured me he would have fresh coffee, which he did. Is there anything else I can do for you?
Air conditioning. Location. In disrepair, not maintained at all. Have to put a double-sided door hanger to have bed made, towels, room cleaned /donotdisturb.Noisy refrigerator had to disconnect to sleep. No cloth hangers.Noisy water pipes woke us up whenever other rooms showered.
The price. The room doors were dirty. They have dirt and spots of grease. The carpet needs to be steam clean. In my opinon the inside of the hotel needs to be update. The TV, bed and pillows were great!
What did I like? It was close to the airport. The staff was friendly. What did I not like? Well, the first thing I noticed was the black mold growing in spots on the edge of the tub. The smell of decay in the hotel room. The outdated AC unit. Tears in the carpet. The water pressure in the sink was stronger than the shower pressure. The clientele itself is scary, I was offered cocaine in the hallway and could hear babies screaming through the walls mixed with angry yelling. Doors slamming throughout the night. I did not sleep in the sheets, and I did not trust the pillows either.
Room was clean and large, everything worked It's close to a main highway so we could hear some traffic noise; walls are thin so we could hear some other guests
The staff was friendly and the shuttle drivers were very good about getting to and from airport in a timely meaning. The hotel was not clean stains on bed and floor found toe nail clipping behind night stand . And bathroom was falling apart stain on ceiling and rotting fauset.
I was always comfortable and it allowed me a great deal of flexibility in using my rental car which I hadn't expected Nothing was a problem at all. If I need a motel in the Twin Cities, I'll try that location first.
We had a great time. Clean and good location. The front desk guy was a little weird.
Comfortable, spacious room. Wireless Internet dropped off occasionally.
It was a great stay..
