Very neat, clean and tidy and a good breakfast.
Our hostess was very kind and, although she spoke little English, did her level best to help us with directions, restaurant recommendations etc. The "specialty cake" was delicious.
Very good for this money. Exellent, if you travel by car to visit Dresden. It's really 5 minutes drive to the center of the city. Good breakfast. Owners were friendly. It's not very easy to get to the city without a car.
Nice and very clean rooms, tasteful breakfast, family atmosphere.
Beautiful design both inner and outer. Redesigned from a previous building very well. Convenient location near railroad.
the staff was speaking a perfect english. The breakfast buffet was filled with plenty of different food so that everybody can find something to eat.
The hotel is close to Freiberg station. The room is clean. The hotel is a little far from the city center.
The Hotel address You have given to me by Reservation is wrong one, so I have problem to find the hotel with my navigation. The right hotel address is st. Bajkalska No. 22.
The Ales Zollhaus is a beautifully done historical building. The staff is friendly and accomodating, the food is deliciously prepared and serviced in comfortable surrounding. We've stayed there a couple times and look forward to staying there again in the future.
The hotel and staff are wonderful. It is extremely well kept and the kitchen is superb. It is comfortable, relaxing and peaceful. I believe they now have a wellness area, however we did not have an opportunity to explore it. We will the next time we are there though.
Very neat hotel. It has been redone and very nice!!!
The room was nice and clean
This hotel is convient for a stop along the way between Prag and Berlin or anywhere along the A4.
accessibility for disabled persons; friendly staff and a good restaurant the shower in my room needed replacement
Nice and clean with a big room
Travelling by car we wanted a motel near Dresden as a base for a few days sightseeing in the city. The Axxe motel provided this with a surprisingly high standard of accomodation. Optional secure parking in an individual garage at a reasonable charge was a bonus
For where it is situated it was very quiet in our rooms at the back of the hotel. The door wasa very hard to open, had to go ask staff to come show us how to get in to room.
It was fair price, it is ok for transit purpose
A huge breakfast, excellent

Very good breakfast ! The extra bed was poor !
Very interestin especialy for families with two children. Big rooms. People very friendly.good brekfast
The staff is very kind and the atmosphere is very familiar. Good breakfast
We booked a family room and a double, and the rooms shared a private entrance. We were able to leave the outer door locked and keep the room doors open, which was perfect for our group. The rooms were both exceptionally clean and comfortable, as were the bathrooms. Breakfast was wonderful, including an omelette station manned by the lady at the front desk. The breakfast room is beautiful! The hotel is ideally located for a trip to Dresden if you have car, which we did. We loved the atmosphere of the hotel, which is an old manor home with several buildings. The main building used to be the barn. Very charming! The restaurant looked wonderful, though we didn't have the chance to eat there. Highly recommended! Our double room was a smoking room, though we asked for non-smoking and none were available. Not a big deal as it was clean and well aired-out, but the smoke was definitely there.
The hotel is very nice and has friendly personnel. Everything was quiet and relaxing, perfect for a transit or a short stay. The small town is very beautiful.
Everything- close to the motorway but in an attractive villagey setting, good restaurant, effiecient staff. Nope. last minute booking for an overnight stay which worked perfectly.
This family-run pension is located in a small village some 4 km away from the city center of Freiberg. The people there are really really nice and friendly. Since this hotel is somehow far from the city center I recommend to arrange with Mr. Fischer for some sort of transportation before leaving for Freiberg if you are not traveling with your own transportation.
Friendly staf, however do not speak English at all.
Too far from city center. Hotel for car driver.
Perfect location: from your room you overlook the valey wherein Dresden is located. There is no trafic in the street (dead-end road) and you can park your car in front of the hotel, free of charge. The atmosphere of the hotel is very family-like, the decoration is simple and pure, same time very welcoming. The terras is perfect for a glass of wine in the evening, looking over the skyline of Dresden. And the night is dead still - sleep well. nothing to mention
no more restaurant for dinner
Quite, except in wind Very basic.
staff eager to assist
The hotel staff was amazing! They went through the trouble of setting out plastic plates and cups for our kids, without us even asking! They allowed us to up-grade to a bigger and better room at a reduced rate, when our original room was too small. We would gladly stay here again!!! The fancy shower (had multiple shower heads) didn't work. We also had to "accidentally" find the surge protector to switch the jacuzzi bath tub on.
The owner is very nice and helpful (however, he has just sold the hotel and won't work there within a few weeks) ; The breakfast is good value for money (6 eur) ; Dresden town center is an easy 10 mn drive away. Don't go to this hotel for the swimming-pool only. It is pretty small.
Onwers spoke English. Informative about eating locations. Showed me my room. Bed sheets not long enough. I am tall 6 feet 9 inches. Internet would have been nice in room.
Good signs pointing to Hotel (otherwise it would be difficult to find). Helpful staff. Too many steps for us Americans (older - & overweight) - to the top floor.
Friendly and helpfull staff. Nice and modern room with lovely view. Good (wide!) bed and very quiet situated. Meals were good and moderate priced. No smoking in the bar, staff a bit too quick with serving meals and courses. Towels could be changed a bit more often.
very calm place no thing to claim
Attractive location, building and interiors clean and spacious, comfortable.
We were warmly welcomed in the hotel. It is a 15 minute walk from the town centre, so it is nice to have a stroll along nice residential street of Freiberg. The hotel is spacious, has a car park, comfortable rooms and very good breakfast. The hotel is entirely adapted to the needs of disabled, which is something to admire.
Clean room with lot of space, refurbished and quiet A bit too far from the city centre of Freiberg
I am always impressed with the breakfast buffet in German hotels. The food is excellent and well presented. I already spoke to the manager about the night receptionist.
Nicely close for the target of our visit in Dresden. We can't complain, people where friendly, especially at the breakfast. Else we didn't spend much time there.
No problem with checking in late at night, very clean rooms, diet crispbread & fruit available for breakfast
Kammer Atmosphere Super Kitchen, not so far from high way nothing
The hotel was clean, the room size and comfort were appropriate. Breakfast was as expected.
Very Nice Hotel, very quite environment and only 15 minutes by car to the centre of Dresden (cheap parking can be found at only 5 minutes from the centre)
The situation for easy walking, friendliness of the staff, good food with menu available in English
Waldhotel was located in a quiet location with the room allocated to us giving excellent views over the countryside. Restaurant was superb apart from a Monday when obviously the Chef had a day off. Forest walks aplenty on the doorstep but no other decent restaurant for some 15km away. No lift or assistance to take cases up two flights of stairs. Most people staying in the hotel were of the mature variety so you had to be reasonably fit to get your luggage upstairs.
