Location and nice pool. Some towels had like a shoe shine stain, we asked to be changed and were not. One day our room wad made until 4pm. Also the elevators do not have a/c were the city was never below 80 F.
I had left my notes book in the hotel in July and I called them to see if they could track it down for me. I did not have any further communication with them, assuming it was lost/discarded, but when I was back in December they had held on to it and I had all my valuable notes back in my hand! I was surprised and impressed, and I will always stay at the hotel while in Veracruz.
My Wife and I stayed here and it was a good experience. Everyone was friendly however the staff could be a little more attentive. I found that lacking somewhat but overall this was a nice hotel. Its painted pink and all rooms have an ocean view. the food was so-so. I would come again but you may find price steep for area.
I felt welcomed evey day at the hotel. The staff was very helpful by providing instructions to get to where I wanted to visit. Also, they had an excellent breakfast buffet and happy hour. I enjoyed the live music played everyday in the dinning area. The best part was the giant size pool with umbrellas and fress fresh towels. Also, the umbrellas on the private beach. I felt really safe.
We have stayed here on occasion for weekends from Mexico City. The facilities are nice, the people are friendly and it is well located. The size (not too big) helps in not have too much crowding at breakfast or in the pool. I do wish the access to the beach had a little more supervision, some trash had accumulated from the water overnight (just a sock and a bottle, nothing dreadful) and no one picked it up all day. I suppose such few people actually go to the beach it was overlooked. We recommend this hotel.
Hotel facilities and location are awesome, but what I like the most was the customer service, really nice employees!
I was excited when arriving at this modern new hotel. It's pretty impressionable as you approach the check in desk. I stayed in a regular sized room, nothing fancy other than the beautiful balcony with the pool/ ocean view. The room cost me about $*.00 pesos which is just over $*.US for (2)nights stay and is more likely worth about $*US. I was also shocked when after taking a shower I reached over to grab a towel and it felt like sandpaper rather than the plush high quality kind you'd expect to find at a pricey place like this. Regardless, the service was excellent and the staff was wonderful meeting my every need with the exception of one bar tender that intercepted me at the elevator to tell me he'd not charged me for a drink as he thought I'd left without paying my tab. He had failed to notice that I'd not only paid in full but also left him a 50% tip before running over to me creating a spectacle of himself, it was an embarrassing misunderstanding and I wrote it off as an honest mistake but I did not return there anymore. The hotel has a great private car service which takes you anywhere you like whenever you want. The driver's are on call just outside the lobby and you only need to walk towards the door and say taxi to the doorman and he'll signal them over. The food at both the restaraunt and outside bar was fantastic and the facilities outdoors is immaculately maintained including the beachfront. No trash and no peddlers. Overall I had a good experience but I could have stayed almost a week somewhere else with what this room cost. I did'nt know any better at that time.
The overall layout of rooms facing the Gulf of Mexico, and the facilities offered were very good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If we return to Boca del Rio, we will stay here again. Like most of the area, water from the tap should not be consumed. Purified bottled water is provided by the hotel. Toilet was as expected- with 2 flushes per use pretty standard.
Close to markets, restaurants, museums, cultural sites, and waterfront. Great views from every side of hotel. Quick check in and friendly staff. Hotel store with many items. Easy parking. Good room, very clean and comfortable. Recently renovated building--very nicely done. Great breakfast bar and a la carte. Attentive staff in hotel and restaurant. Great value.
Clean, courteous and helpful staff, good location. Would stay there again without hesitation. Highly recommended. Would have been if breakfast, for about $100 a night, was included. There is an option to have breakfast included but the nightly stay would have been more than $100 a night.
Los cuartos están bonitos!
Room was comfortable and shower was nice We picked this hotel only because PRICELINE advertised it with complimentary laundry. This was not the case and it was costly to send it off with maidservice so we came with dirty clothing for our family and left that way too. Pool was very cold.
Decoration dirty bathroom
staff, friendly and helpful lobby too small
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The location wasn't amazing. For the same price range you could stay downtown, which has a lot to offer, and for a little more you can stay at the beach.
I've stayed at different NH Hotels and usually was very content with the amenities. The hotel was poorly equipped and expensive. It did not have hair dryers, mini service bar or in room coffee makers. On leaving I was charged for a more expensive room with no explanation.
The staff at the front deck charge me more the normal price by add taxes which normal but they add more that it should be
Clean, beautiful, excellent restaurant, friendly staff, ideal location. No.
Myself and about 10 others stayed here while on a port call. It was very clean, the food was very freash and tasty and there was free internet in the rooms if you had the cable or bought it for 60 pesos from the desk. There was also free wireless in the lobby and bar area. The pool was relaxing anfd they had a waitstaff to take your order. The only downside is that one of the reasons we stayed there was becuase it has a pool bar and even though the hotel was completly booked for the weekend they did not open it.
Drawn by the price and that it was pet friendly my wife and I booked a night for us and our dog, after a decent night we decided to stay another so I booked that too. About an hour later I was summoned to the reception desk and told I needed to pay a fee for my dog. They tried to get me to pay 4000 pesos! 2000 for each night! So we went back to our room packed up our stuff and said adios. I was told I can't get a refund for the night we didn't stay. I guess my credit card company is just gonna have to get my money back!
