Pros: I had a great experience here. The staff was very pleasant and were very patient with my lack of spanish dialect. I will stay here again on my next visit
Cons: Very close to the festival area. Can be a annoying.
I would definitely stay here again-keeping in mind there is no a/c and the next door streets are a little ghetto.
Pros: Loved the friendly staff/delicious fruit and coffee/public relaxing hut/clean room and balcony/ambiance
Cons: only that there was no a/c
A great choice for a stay in Bayahibe, Aparta-Hotel Villa Baya features an airport shuttle. You can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant or wind down at the end of the day with a drink from the bar/lounge. A terrace and a garden are other highlights, and all apartments offer refrigerators and rainfall showerheads.
Pros: The Spa experience is a good take away for us.
Cons: Inaccurate information given from tour guides to push their products.
Our servers were horrible at best. Seems there need to be some training to demonstrate that all customers should be treated equally. We observed on multiple occassions how we were treated differently in comparison to other guest.
There won't be a repeat for us to Dreams La Romana.
Pros: Birds and nature if they were any.
Cons: Noisy and breakfast was the same. Maybe should change theme of breakfast
Pros: This resort was wonderful. The beach was absolutely gorgeous and huge! It took 5 minutes to walk the stretch from one end of the resort to the other. The food was top-notch - we tried 4 of the 7 restaurants while we were there and all the food we got was delicious! Tip - ask for recommendations - some of the plated meals at the restaurants were better than others, and the wait staff were able to easily point you in the right direction. Also, my husband is a big guy and learned that he could order 2 appetizers if he wanted to, which made him very happy. We did end up with the preferred package, which actually offered a lot of perks. We had our own private pool (with pool bar), our own private area on the beach, and a 'clubhouse' that we could go to for appetizers and drinks. We were there during march madness, and the clubhouse was extra nice because we could go there and get a prime couch spot to watch a couple of games. The bartender in the preferred club was also very good - he remembered my husband and my dad (we also travelled with my parents) and came and asked them if they wanted the same drinks each time we walked in. Speaking of bartenders, they were all very good - they made delicious drinks (try the drink of the day), were willing to customize them, and knew a wide variety of drinks (we ordered Caipirinhas and every bartender knew how to make them). Overall, this resort was wonderful, and we had a really great stay.
Cons: This resort was very large, which didn't bother us (more food, pool, and beach options), but could be a downside for some. The only thing that was slightly annoying was the number of people they let into the resort to sell you things. At other all-inclusives I've been at, they limit the sales function to the lobby, and at Dreams, there were people by the pool and on the beach walking around to try to get you to go on excursions. They were not overly pushy, so it wasn't a huge inconvenience. There is also an office in the resort where they try to sell you timeshares. One of the staff in the lobby tried to get us reeled in, but was willing to let us walk away (she was a little bit more pushy than the others who were selling things, but we only heard from her once - she didn't come up to us again after we walked away). Again, it's not the end of the world to say no and walk away from anyone trying to sell you something on vacation - it just may be a bigger deal to some people than to others.
Pros: Customer service was excellent. The staff was trained to accommodate any requests. Also the food was excellent and the selection of food was extensive.
Cons: At times vendors trying to sell time shares, excursions, etc. were a little intrusive, but probably not outside the limits when compared to other resorts.
Dreams La Romana Resort & Spa is in Bayahibe, overlooking the azure of the Caribbean Sea. A championship golf course is 24 km (15 mi) away. The Saona and Catalina Islands are easily reachable.
Pros: The garden, the animation, the beach, the restaurant
Pros: atmosphir ,food was good ,staff were excelent....
Cons: needs bathrooms next to the bar and the pool area
Pros: Great location by the beach.
Cons: Staff were slow at service.
Pros: great food. The restaurant where nice, and serve good meal.m The room was really nice and comfortable (i asked for an upgrade)
Cons: the staff is not well inform about the hotel. They dont know nothing... you ask something and nobody can answerd you.
Pros: The staff was excellent, food was good, I was given what I asked for which were closest rooms to pool area. The beach was outstanding, clear waters.
Cons: I had a problem at one of the stores, I bought a ceramic which was that bad quality that it broke up 10 minutes after bought at other store just by placing the bag on counter, I took it back to ask for a change I had a negative impression from Ingris. I discused it at lobby but I was clear, I had had a wonderfull time at hotel and great service for the money I felt I end up owing to the hotel and I would not make a problem out of it , I just wanted them to know.
Cons: food is terrible

Pros: friendly staff. main buffet food was good (except the fruit). I would recommend the hotel if it were cleaner and drinks were better.
Cons: I booked an all inclusive deluxe room with pool view...there was no view! ROOM was dirty overall:curtains had mildew on it, decorative pillows were also smelly, decorative ottoman was very nasty. The inclusive drinks were HORRID! I had to drink beer.
The food, while not unpleasant, was not as good as other nearby resorts of similar price. The limited menu and lack of dining options (many restaurants were closed during the week) made our dining experience lackluster. Wait-staff tended to focus on larger groups or those who were obviously European, making wait times quite long for basic beverages like water and soft drinks - we usually ended up getting our own drinks. Breakfast juices were on the warm side, and sodas often flat. The nightly shows were not very good, but the after party near the central bar was very lively. In general, the bar staff was pleasant as were the room maids. This was our first trip to a Be Live resort and we will not be returning to this particular resort. There are other nearby resorts we have visited that were markedly better and similarly priced such as the Wyndham Dominicus properties also in Bayahibe.
Pros: We enjoyed the public spaces best, particularly the pool and the central bar.
Cons: We paid for a room upgrade and were thoroughly disappointed. Our room actually seemed smaller and with less amenities than the room a couple traveling with us had who did not purchase the upgrade. Room also had mold, standing rain water, and a bad smell.
