pretty dirty and neglected unleaned rooms broken items
Friendly staff, reasonable prices, nice breakfast Far from the city, some bedlinen missing. On the whole the double bed would also be better equipped with two blankets because more often than families I believe that tourist groups are staying at these hotels.
Good service: react adequate and quick when something was not as expected. On the travel back ( used the hotel stay for two day travel to and from vacation adress) The room had no fresh smell. But everything was clean and the bedlinnen was fresh
It was insanely cheap. The linens and towels were clean. It is right off the highway (near other hotels/motels). We arrived at night and it had a shifty vibe. I can't describe it any other way.
Buffet breakfast It needs refurbishment, toilet seat was broken, shower drain blocked and smelly. Also noisy by railway and industrial site.l
Staff was friendly and accommodating. They made every effort to communicate clearly despite not speaking very much English. My son thought it was cool to sleep in a bunk bed and compared it to our ferry cabin on the ferries we took on the Alaskan Marine Highway. The beds were not very comfortable and the bathroom was super small. Water temps were very sensitive so it was tricky to find a balance so as to not freeze or scald yourself :).
very small bathroom, not clean, not enough towels
You get what you pay for - a tiny cramped room with bunkbeds and a tiny bathroom in which the shower overflowed. We were by one of the landing doors which slammed all night - we literally got about an hours sleep.
really helpful staff good value breakfast well-lit accessible parking near motorway
Nice staff, easy access, the room was clean except a bit of problem in the bathroom.
Good hotel in a convenient location, private parking, very friendly staff, good breakfast. No complaints at all.
Central location, parking, restaurant. Poor breakfast choice, food smelling in corridors. Room on street side noisy (bus stop nearby).
Hotel staff very well prepared for guest attention. Friendly environment. Convenient shopping Mall in front of the hotel . Unfortunatelly the restaurant does not provide us a menu in English or German ( only French ) , but, one person was prompt assigned to do a rough translation. In my point of view , will be more convenient to have this menu translated to different language. Expensive self service breakfast ( 9 Euro per person ) based on offered variety mainly lack of fruits .
friendly and helpful staff, good location (great base for discovering Alsace), very quiet region, great restaurant... Everything is great!
English speaking staff in French hotel
large room, good shower, good breakfast hotel restaurant closed for holidays and basically all other reaturants in the village closed too. had to buy bread and cheese from a supermarket in the end.
The hotel was comfortable and suited our needs. Didn't eat there so could not comment on restaurant. About 20 mins outside Strasbourg, but easily accessible via bus and tram. Hotel receptionist very informative and helpful. would recommend it for price and convenience.
Very convenient for getting into Strasbourg. Good parking facilities. Easy access to motorway for onward journey. Advertised menu not available only a la carte. No breakfast tea!!
Nothing The breakfast was far too expensive. There was no hot water one night. There was no tea or coffee service available, compared to the hotel in Switzerland I will never stay or recommend this particular hotel again.
Good price-quality ratio, friendly personnel, quiet, closeby to Straatsburg, easy to reach with Elsau P+R
cheap rooms, small but very clean, dogs welcome, friendly staff and free parking
pleasant reception and service , well dined , etc.. No
hotel staff, close to town centre
Easy reach of the autostrada
accessibility to Strasbourg
Quiet and clean, two sets of two towels [2 per person] would have been nice .E.g one to wrap around the body another to wrap around the head More than one portion of tea/coffee/milk would have been good
Location is good. Good stop off point close to highways. Cheap motel style rather than a hotel. Poor cleanliness overall (although to be fair - the bed linen was fresh and clean). Fairly thick layer of dust in places created a poor overall impression.
Good location (not far from Strasbourg but in countryside), very interesting old building with family atmosphere, comfortable good room, comfortable bed and duvets. Big parking, easy to find the place from the road. Breakfast was unexpectingly poor (no warm food, no eggs, no forks and bowls for cereals..). If you want to dine in hotel's restaurant, you should book in advance - in our stay restaurant was fully booked. But there are many places to eat nearby, so it isn't really a problem.
Comfortable room. Good set up for family with separate sleeping areas. No restaurant in hotel but linked to a good one 5 minutes walk away. Nice pool and sauna. Pool was unheated.
Hotel is next to a duck pond and very close to a church. No aircon so had window open. Ducks noisy all night, Church bell seemed to strike all the quarter hours and after a very uncomfortable night found ouselves covered in mosquito bites.
The outside of the building looked great! The hotel advertized air conditioned rooms, which was important with 35+c weather. The a/c was more of a repaired water cooler which was turned off at 22h. When we opened the windows, we were overwhelmed with the bugs and mosquitos so we had to close the windows. Which made it impossible to sleep in such a heated suana. argh!
We stayed in one of the Disabled adapted rooms and the facilities were first class. The reception staff could not have been more helpful furnishing me with details in relation to booking in and out. I very much intend to stay there again in the future
Friendly and welcoming staff. Located in the center of town. We would stay here again. Breakfast a bit expensive.
Very quaint hotel. We got there after midnight (you need to call them if you are coming late), but the hotel staff was very welcoming and supportive. We had quadruple room, and it was a two story room. Downstairs had a double bed, wardrobe and a writing desk, upstairs had two single beds (put together), a tiny walk-in closet and a bathroom with a bathtub. Also the AC was attached on the wall only on the upstairs. Our room was all the way to the top of the hotel, so going up stairs was a little bit tiring after the long road trip, but it was OK with me. Free parking outside was close enough to the hotel and the town of Obernai was very cute. There was no hot food at the breakfast. The bathroom door didn't close all the way.
Relaxed family atmosphere, very welcoming, comfortable bed, good cuisine, would stay there again, excellent choice of hotel None
fantastically helpful staff, real charachter building-not expensive
place is good no elevator
Very restful and quiet. Excellent linked restaurant.
very friendly and charming old manoir that has been lovingly restored and reasonably priced.
Nice, relaxed attitude e.g help yourself tea in the afternoon, free internet access, good breakfast buffet, good location & plenty of parking.
Nicely retouched DEcor, GreatBreakfast (9Euros too much if you eat modestly) and free Parking...there was an ancient printer downstairs and when it finally printed an illegible google map some little computer parts came out with the paper (they wanted .50 Euros per Page) WIFI was often non-responsive trouble signing on, which had to be done repeatedly (the code changed all the time) we gave up in the end in our two night stay... there was a computer downstairs which helped...no Lift We were in room 14 three floors up...Nothing open in the town had to go to Obernai for shopping...We went to the Winstub de Manoir recommended by the staff, got ill after Escargo or Mushrooms? The cook seems to be a Family member ?????
Comfortable and friendly
This hotel was our second stop of a holiday drive from the UK,through France, Switzerland and Italy. We wanted to stay somewhere different in style each time. We liked the character of the building and furnishing. The owner and staff were very pleasant. A note of advice: if you decide to eat out in Barr we would advise you to avoid Le Brochet restaurant. Admittedly we speak very little French, but up to then we had managed to to make ourselves understood in shops and restaurants. The staff was very unhelpful and the food not up the standard of the pice we paid. In fact that was the worst meal we had out of the 19 days vacation.
The village of Barr was a very pleasant surprise as we chose for its access to Strasbourg. It was quite easy to drive into the Strasbourg 'park and rides' for a visit. Our room was a family room ( two additional beds, two seater settee, easy chair, and casual table) although we were only a couple. As a result it was a little cluttered for our liking.
very helpfull reception personel, excellent breakfast, very good location and cosy atmosphere
Cosy romantic rooms. Excellent secure car parking. The breakfast was excellent, wide choice & good quality. The rooms do get very warm during the summer.
Not really nice hotel. The room is too old as well as the bed. In my opinion need to be rerenovated.
the proximity of Zenith concert hall Poorly furnished VIP room makes it impossible to stay for more than 2 nights. No facilities for winter time, industrial location, old worn-out blankets, expected higher standard for the price.
Nothing....................although the wife says the deserts were alright!!!! The price (7.90 Euro for a pint of lager!!!), the room, the food...............
It was very convenient to Zenith Strasbourg for a concert we were going to. Breakfast buffet was very good as was the evening meal, which was also convenient for us as we could eat just befoer going to the concert and didn't have to rush as the hotel was only 7 minutes walk away from the Zenith stadium. Also a tram station is about 7-10 mins walk from the hotel, and gets you straight into town. Did not like that I got wrong information from one receptionist when I asked was there public transport to the airport. I was told no, it was too difficult to get there and a taxi would be better. But I learnt at the tourist office that a train runs regularly to the airport from the gare central!
The location There was no room for no smokers, even though they claim there is in their website. The picture of the room I booked through your website, was not the one I finally got into. I paid cash, I got a receipt and the concierge called me after I left claiming, that she couldn't find her receipt of my payment. Finally she did, but this was not was I expected when I booked this hotel
room was very small even for two stars hotel
Good food, friendly staff,safe parking
the kindness of the staff the location, the breakfast buffet ( very poor ), no lift, the contrast between the room & bathroom ( the room was very nice, but the bathroom had nothing similar to the room) it's a stopover hotel, it need's to be refreshed
No hot water!!!!
Staff was friendly. We had very silent night. Rooms nicely decorated. Hotel is in very suitable location. We have decided every time to stay here.
The breakfast it was an amazing selection on offer and it was all good!!
free internet, free parking and quite good room poor poor breakfast
Convenience to airport, hassle free reservation when arriving, excellent continental breakfast, nice view and quiet for sleeping Were not too many shops open in the immediate area, but probably that was due to being late Saturday afternoon.
food, rooms, facilities
Lovely comfortable room. Very good value.
Possibility to make a cup of coffee/tea in the room. Hairdryer in bathroom. Two restaurants just next to the hotel. Bus stop in front of the hotel. Parking space available. A bit far from the centre, from 9 pm onwards buses do not circulate very often.
I liked the extremely helpful attitude of the staff,
The accomodation was clean and airey with all services working and functioning correctly. Na
Being near Strasbourg. The public transportation made it easy to get into the city center. It was located a bit far from the city center.
quite good quality
Staff was friendly and helpful, has its own secured parking lot, and nearby public transportation into the Strasbourg city center. Room was very simple and small, minimal amenities, but it was clean and quiet.
The hotel was very clean and good value for money. Pleasant staff. Breakfast was good, not much choice but everything fresh and good quality, especially bread and rolls - they have this brown bread with cereals, which is possibly the best bread I've ever tried. They do not have a proper highchair - they one we got was very old and not safe to use. Also, the wine glasses are stored in a cupboard at floor level, the doors of the cupboard do not lock and my one-year-old had no trouble opening it!
an easy to find hotel, clean and tidy room, and value for money considering the price paid.
The personal from reception was very polite and helpfull. They spoke english language, not only french. In the lobby there you can find computers and free Internet, also maps and flyers about soroundings.
very comfortable, access by public transport - bus no 2 from the Gare Centrale - should be indicated
Luxury accommodations, but affordable. Good staff.
Very attentive and catered well to babies and families Breakfast was a bit pricey and the only option at the hotel.
beautiful building and surroundings with superb service, food and staff nothing whatsoever...except we did not stay long enough
The building itself is wonderful but the staff made it a very wonderful stay!
Surroundings were beautiful, although it was a shame that the weather was not so good to enable us to enjoy them more. Children's menu availability.
well appointed rooms, excellent meals the spa facility is marginal at best. Improperly trained staff and poorly ventilated, with limited spa menu. Americans are used to much more in a proper "spa".
Very nice accomodation. All the hotel staffs were not really as friendly as the reception.
The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The room maintenance was very good with an evening turndown service etc Yes - beware we were seriously over charged in both the restaurant and in the bar. When we asked them to explain the bill it had no relation to the prices listed and they could not explain why it had happened - very mysterious - keep an eye on all costs you sign off.
Indoor pool is so beautiful and comfortable! Of course the buiding itself is very nice, but the surrounding garden is also nice. The restaurant was a little bit too busy for timely service.
A modern, comfortable room with best facilities
No Tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. Hotel restaurant very expensive.
Very good breakfast and dinner - Easy parking - Strasbourg proximity - Pool adapted to young child - Clean room - Design room - Charming staff Very very noisy room - Paid wifi - Unconfortable bed - Did I say the room was noisy ?
Excellent location, free parking, comfortable and clean rooms, very good health / pool facilities. Beds were somewhat uncomfortable.
The hotel was very well provided and extremely comfortable. It was easy to locate, had plenty of parking and was within walking distance of the center of town.
Restaurant service could have been better. Meat was not cooked enough, wine served after first course had arrived,... Little things, but they make a difference
Swimming pool and fitness facilities are excellent. Triple room was nice, clean and comfortable. Good location on Alsace wine road. Good Price to Quality ratio. The breakfast price is too high (Euro 10 per person -> Euro 30 in our case of a couple with a kid). After the first day, we had the breakfast in a cafe in Mulsheim center (10-12 Euro for 3 persons).
Good value for money
Very good restaurant. Quietness.
The staff was helpful and the breakfast was good.
Good Restaurant. Quite nice rooms. The people in the reception handles also the resaurant so they are not available at the reception. I forgot to request the Wi-Fi access details (which should be free) and after around 10:30 PM there is no one that you can ask about it.
the very nice room No 105!
Good admosphere, friendly staff, excellent kitchen The room was not 100% clean.
Welcoming staff. Good breakfast. Quiet place. I wanted to do shopping in Strsbg and did not realise that Molsheim is so far without a car. Arriving late with friends who were at the Diana, we could not find a restaurant open in Molsheim. I would recommend this hotel to someone who has a transportation.
very nice presentation, helpful staff
Clean modern room internet access secure parking good breakfast easy to book Poor bathroom no proper shower
Parking facilities No restaurant facilities in the evening.Rather difficult to find
Quiet and clean room. Good comfort. Staff refused to serve any drinks at 2 evenings: First because it was the last day of the month (?) and on the second evening because it was the 1st of May (?).
It was excellent value for money. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. I thought the location was very good for somebody travelling onwards into Switzerland. Excellent private parking facilities. Breakfast was very good. The staff were poor. Unfriendly and unhelpful. Not on hand a lot of the time to help. They always seemed to be in a back room or sitting having coffee together. Nobody on hand to supervise breakfast or answer any questions about it.
Great reception, great breakfast selection. E,f,d spoken. 3-Bed option perfect for weekend stay. Close (walking distance)to train station, shopping. Better than some 3 star accomodation in alsace region. No shower curtain. Awkward furniture with clothes rail/luggage rack behind toilet door.
Excellent and very convenient parking and location.
Everything: the location, the hotel staff, cleanliness, good communication with Starasbourg... I was very satisfied. No.
I liked the price; the shower was good and free WIFI was a bonus. The hotel did not have an iron/ironing board (not in the room, nor at reception). The location was poor; although it was within walking distance (about 5km) from the centre of strasbourg, if you're lazy/it's raining/you don't know where you are going you have to get a taxi which is quite expensive (I paid over 20euro to get 4/5km from hotel several times). I would've saved money by getting a much more expensive hotel in/near the centre and used the tram everyday (1.4euro per trip). Another minor point was that the room didn't look very nice - badly painted (I'm sure even the blind was painted) and looked weird; but what can you expect for 36euros?
good price, good staff, easy access to highway, old facilities, tiny room, location not easy to find
It was close to motorway. It was difficult to find. Location was very remote at the end of a dead end road. It was bleak and univiting inside. The rooms I had 123 & 124 had holed linen, mould on the ceiling. Room 124 smelt like a smoking room.
very difficult to find
The hotel was located near the place we needed to go work the next morning, so that was convenient. There was a lot of noise during the night, it was hard to sleep, even with the windows closed
We used this hotel as a stop over on 2 Sep 2010 and again on 26 Sep 2010. On both dates we found the staff very helpful and the hotel easy to find and avery welcome stop on our route to and from Italy.
The bed was firm and warm, we could sleep very well. The room had bath and it was nice clean. There was no soap ready in the room (asked reception to give us one), there were no hot water for the bath on 2nd night so needed to wait till next morning, and pillows were too small and thin, we used the extra blanket as additional pillow.
Well equiped rooms; helpful staff.
The staff was nice and accommodating. Free parking and a (slightly overpriced) restaurant at the hotel was helpful. It's not a newly renovated hotel by any means, but it was clean and comfortable. I wish the charge had included breakfast - 16 Euros for two people seems expensive.
Nothing. a very unfriendly place to be with children. It is not a hotel. a simple motel. Very bad service . Children not welcome in the restaurant and our small children talked about it as the place children are not mikes. Room was little and clean only ón the surface. It should be mentioned it is very close to the highway. Nothing like the pic om the website.
A reasonable hotel close to Strasbourg The hotel was good value for the money, however the room was small for 3 adults
Triple rooms are too small.
A very nice place to stop off on route to italy. Will use again and reccomend to friends
this should be called a spa hotel. With an amazing pool, sauna and stram sauna free of charge for guest, this hotel gets top ratings. The staff is also very kind and service minded.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities including attractive indoor swimming pool and sauna. Choice of two restaurants - wine bar type and gourmet. Good position for ease of walking to other establishments in the town.Upgraded to better room than booked.
very nice spa service and refill at the breakfast buffet could be better
An excellent location in a delightful town, The evening meal in the restaurant was of the highest quality. I really think that the breakfast should be included in the not insubstantial cost of the room.
Beautiful location in the Alsace
Very comfortable quiet hotel in good location. Good food at dinner and at breakfast.
the outstanding junior suite and for the restaurant: the best sommelier we ever had breakfast to expensive (17 euro)
the whole package / room / spa / restaurant
Centrally located, rooms clean but small, staff friendly, food in restaurant mediocre, value for money questionable. Accessability by car is quite difficult, but once you have reached the place parking is adequate.
Very spacious bedroom, good restaurant and wines, nice swimming pool and spa, friendly staff, great location near to town Loud talking and shouting in garden of house next to hotel till 3am in morning kept us awake in both bedrooms we'd booked, hopefully we were just unlucky.
The couple of hotel owner were very kind. Bath is old style but both bath and room were well cleaned. There are a lot of parking space in front of the building and it is very usefull for car traveller.
Very helpful owners.
The hotel is situated in the suburbs of Strasbourg, however, at 5-minute walk from it there is a stop of a tram that will take you to the centre of the city in 10 min. The location is very peaceful and quiet. Besides, the hotel has its own private parking place, which was important for us, as we travelled to Alsace from Switzerland by car.
There was a nice helpful staff. It was easy to get to Strassbourg it would be very nice to have some sort of a boiler to make some tea or to be able to buy just water.
The room and bathroom were large. The staff was pleasant and helpfull. the hotel was very quiet. In consideration of the space available, there are possibilities to create more comfort, for example a larger wardrobe.
Quiet environment, easy to go shopping mall and easy to take transportation from hotel. You can find nice staffs with friendly smile in the hotel. The reasonable price also very attractive. Improve breadfast If possible. This time I only enjoy bread & tea/coffee.
We were looking for a 'cheapish' pleasant hotel in Strasbourg and the Domino fulfilled our need very well. It was very convenient for the tram, which provided a short journey into the centre. All other facilities for a 2 night stay were up to standard. We took ages to find the hotel. ok - sta nav ould have hepled but we did not have that. Needs a good map with web site.
Being close to the city, nice staff that likes to help, clean rooms, fresh towels. Room was big enough to put two baby cots in, beside the big bed fr two parents. The internet connection was working well. We were very satisfied with the whole offer.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was well located, not downtown but close enough.
