The rooms and bunks were great and felt private. Breakfast changed each morning which was nice. Traveling solo I met some cool people here which was great and helpful! Good area, generally felt safer than further south in the city.
I wish there was a larger common area. But given the size of the space it was utilized well!
good-working WiFi, very clean and tidy, spacious beds in capsule form with curtains, right in the center of Chapinero, nice common area with sofas, hot showers, discount for laundry service
very loud and disturbing noise (like ventilation system) which came from the bathroom which was directly behind our beds and woke us up several times during the night, no kitchen to use, no hooks in the bathrooms for towel etc.
I really like the staff and very helpful ...and reception girl has amazing smile ... makes my day seeing her every morning .. clean property and variety of healthy n yummy breakfast .
I can’t think of any specific dislike ..probably if they have bigger kitchen ... I love to cook sometime
The Hostel is very modern and stylish. Private room appears bigger than average due to the fact that the bed was kind of a loft bed. Breakfast absolutely sufficient in size and with good taste and variety. Facilites were clean.
The men showers on the top floor were absolutely not warm enough. They were changing between cold and lukewarm. This should be improved as Bogota is not a hot place. I was using the women showers in the end which has been warm to hot. Just for information - no typical "hostal feeling" for those who are looking for that.
Area around the hostel felt sketchy. Cold showers for 2 out of the 3 days we were there. The hostel then put a poster up saying they were providing cold showers for 1 day only as it helps ‘elevate your mood’ and ‘makes you badass’.. A complete joke when you’ve paid a good bit more money to stay there than comparable hostels. The rest of the time the water was lukewarm at best. It’s bad to treat customers like they are stupid, if someone wanted a cold shower then they can easily just use the cold tap, don’t lie and try to promote it as a ‘special promotion’. Saw 2 cockroaches in the shower/toilet area upstairs. Breakfast was a shambles. Waited over half an hour for a pile of cold, rubbery eggs and soggy bread that they bring from elsewhere. Asked for airport transfer when leaving. Hostel confirmed and then told us 1 hour before it was due that we HAD to change the time earlier due to traffic and the weather it would take 1-1.5 hours so the car was on its way. Weather was cloudy and traffic average, it only took around 30 mins. I don’t know why they lied about this, but it seemed like they had another transfer organised that meant they wanted to move us to accommodate. The driver asked us to sit in the front, which seems like it wasn’t a legit company and then dropped us off in the arrivals car park. The curtain rail of the bed and window would fall off whenever you tried to open or close the curtains.
