The food was very good and reasonably priced.thechoice of wine was good and again it was a fair price Uncarpeted corridor noisy. room very basic bedside tables would have been an improvement
Quiet hotel. Staff very friendly. Can't think of any bad points to add about this hotel.
Friendly service. Good bed. No lift to the first floor.
Hotel is quite basic but rooms were very clean and comfortable, internet worked great, it was nice to be able to park right outside our room. We had two connecting rooms which were perfect for our family of five, good value. Location not great, close to a small town, but this was a stopover enroute to elsewhere so we didn't choose it for the location, only the proximity to the road we were travelling on - which it was very close to. Very easy to find. For the price we paid for two rooms we were very pleased with the hotel. It is basic but clean. It is definitely not a luxury hotel, but great for a stopover.
good value, not a very nice location, food fair and service good rather dreary location
Very friendly staff. Nice surroundings - large garden and very quiet, although I could hear the people in surrounding rooms. Tiny bathroom. Toilet didn't flush properly and ran constantly, shower was dirty. They did send someone to fix the toilet and it worked once, and then stopped working again. Really, really uncomfortable bed.
The room was very clean, and the restaurant stayed open to a very reasonable hour, serving very good food. We took a long time to find it. Road numbers appear to have changed, and did not coincide with our current road atlas of France.
very pleasant and welcoming staff. The area is very quiet and relaxing. we had difficulty finding a place to have dinner on a Sunday evening
The staff were very helpful, good food & conveniantly situated for our trip
Quiet location. Breakfast ok It is quite a problem that the hotel's restaurant is closed on Sunday (and Saturday) evenings as it is quite imposible to find a place in the neighbourhood to have dinner on Sunday evenings
excellentes prestations. grand confort !
Kindly reception, service (free internet wifi access) No
The accommodation is self-contained and very comfortable. The views are wonderful and great to have access to a swimming pool and tennis court. Only problem was arriving after the reception had closed and taking a while to work out how to find the emergency number to get the keys.
1. We arrived after the reception got closed, the key room was expecting us in the storage box outside of the hotel... but there was no key to the entrance... We had to wait for residents to open the door... 2. The bedroom on the upper floor had its window locked. It was hot, stuffy, pretty much like a gas chamber. The staff refused to accomodate. 3. The description says that the wi-fi is free. You will need to remind the staff of that, otherwise they would charge 5 euro per hour.
The hotel is situated in an amazing old farm house with stunning views of the village of Fécamp and the cliffs and beach. It was a great middle point to make day trips either way up and down the coast. The breakfast was lovely. The place is extremely quiet and relaxing. The courtyard is peaceful. The rooms smelled damp - but this is to be expected from an old building near the ocean - the staff can only speak French with minimal english, which could be a problem for some guests.
The dinner we had in the evening was superb and the service excellent Would like to have had a proper bar to relax in anot to have to use one end of the dining room.
The site, the garden, welcome and dinner - just perfect
Location No tea / coffee in rooms. Hotel in poor condidtion, badly needs up- dating Fixtures and fittings in room very old and worn out. Tv in room very bad Burn marks in bed covers Breakfast was very poor with a very small selection. Evening meals were of a good quality but it had a very limited menu of three main dishes that did not change all week. Dog that belonged to hotel was walking around dinning room and walking through the kitchen. Outdoor pool was dirty
The location was wonderful--on the top of a hill next to an interesting chapel, with a fantastic view of La Manche/The English Channel. We didn't see anyone when we arrived, but rather found our room key waiting for us next to a small map indicating the location of the room (we arrived around 7 PM). The room was unlocked. The room itself was two story, clean with basic furnishings. The location of the hotel is great; we had a nice view of the surrounding rolling hills and wonderful wooly lambs that were grazing. It was also very quiet! Good stopover between Giverny/Honfleur and Mont St. Michel. The nearby port of Yport is very cute and Etretat has a wonderful view of the Alabaster Cliffs. The bathroom was fine, but they really need to add a shower curtain and a rod to hold the shower head. This may have been the way things were done in France 25 years ago, but not anymore. It is a simple addition that would make a great deal of difference. Also, the room was very cold when we arrived and we didn't want to fiddle with the heating system, so we simply went to bed in our heavy sweat shirts and fleeces.
unique and beautiful landscape the room is very humble
The hotel location is truly amazing, with a beautiful view on the seaside I must have slept on the worse used mattresses for years; the stores hiding the velux on the roof were out of function, so that the kids were awake much too early in the morning.
Fantastic views of the coast line and town
Location and room design for a family of 4
We very much liked the environment and the atmosphere of the hotel. Located next to an old chapel. The hotel is situated around a square and has a fully enclosed, very nice inner garden. The location on top of the cliffs with its splendour views is also a recommandation.
The care and attention given by all the staff was exceptionally good. We were supposed to be staying in an attic room but as soon as we walked in ,Madame noticed that my husband is tall so she upgraded us. We stayed for 4 nights and slept in 3 different rooms and the staff moved all our belongings and clothes for us, so it was no trouble to us. All rooms lovely. The food was also really good
Though it is a lovely hotel and the staff were very helpful, our stay was spoilt by the fact that a film shoot that was being done there had overrun. This meant we could not check in on time and parking was very awkward. The clean up from the shoot was still underway when we had breakfast the next morning and then left.We had not received any notice of this situation. However we were given an upgrade and a very modest price reduction for the inconvenience.
The hotel, room and food were fabulous and sited well for the surrounding area. Although we considered we had excellent value for money it seemed that our 'package price' for half board (3 nights), through booking.com, was actually the room only price, the hotel did however honour our package price. The hotel would have been very expensive if a package price had not been available.
We thought the meals were excellent. The Hotel had an indoor and outside pool which was nice for our children.
perfect ambiance, perfect service and perfect food
Excellent service when we had a difficult booking experience. Friendly and attentive staff The hotel is a little tired and could do with some painting and updating in the social areas.
Astonishing old manor house in a beautiful garden. Charming room, comfortable bed, absolutely silent - we really slept well here. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a little bit too expensive as there was nothing special about it.
Very practical location for a one-night stop, easily reached from the highway. One needs a code to check-in after 18:00, we did not know that before and obtaining the code costs expensive mobile phone calls. This code should be communicated when making the reservation.
There's free internet on each room (with cable). The location is great if you have a car (there's parking). The beds are too short
Very friendly and helpful staff. If you're travelling by car it's in a good location with lots of interesting places to see.
The receptionist was welcoming, the room was immaculate, the bed very comfortable, and breakfast excellent. Shall be interested to find out in the future whether all Kyriad hotels are as good. Would have liked to be able to get a multi-lingual channel on the TV.
Rooms are clean and renevated, hotel staff is helpfull. Location is in the commercial center, a bit far from city center. If you have a car, it is a good option.
The parking lot was fenced and had cctv coverage. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. A non-smoking room was requested.
modern rooms, clean, simple, good value for money they forgot to put new towels and soap when they did the room, but I got some when I asked for them.
comfortable matress no window to leave open at night - as only had a door - not secure to leave open
Quiet. Coffee and tea facilities in the room. Close to large shopping centre. Near to reach both Etretat and Honfleur, and Le Havre centre by car. Rooms too small. No comfort. No reception area. Montivilliers centre is far away but in some way it is good since the atmosphere is not friendly in evening.
Very nice rooms - quiet with double glazing - could be noisy with window open, as close to dual carriageway. Situation was a bit of a surprise in relation to shopping cerntre. No restaurant for the evening. Had to go into Montivilliers.
Very clean Had booked 1 x double and 1 x triple (which should have been double and single) but there was a twin and a "put up bed"
The hotelstaff is very friendly. You don't pay much for a room so you don't have to expect much. The breakfast was very good but diner was not good
Staff friendly and effecient. Restaurant good. Hotel not easy to find, tucked away on commercial estate.
Locality good for the ferry at Le Havre. Reasonably priced. The standard of accomodation is constant.(We have used this hotel before). Evening meal menu and quality adequate. Staff/waitress helpful and pleasant.
Nice and quiet. The restuarant was being built. Zero ffod in evening.
Good breakfast. Clean rooms Not the easiest place to find - better signage from the main roads
We struggled to find this hotel it was very poorly signposted from the motorway and hotel directions from website were of little help. We also requested a cot but this was not provided initially, however the staff did rectify request
Very good breakfast for a Campanile hotel. Every guest should know that this hotel is situated uphil 2 kms north of the oil refineries outside Le Havre. This means that you do not see the refineries from the hotel, but their smell in strongly present throughout the whole neigbourhood including around the hotel (and in your room if you would open the window). This hotel is only suitable for business travellers (most likely working in, for or with the oil industry). For any other guests this hotel should be disadvised in view of the high room and breakfast prices. This Campanile should cut their prices to a budget level in order to making it attractive to non-business travelers. Not surprisingly we were nearly the only guests on a Saturday stay over.
Very good staff. Good rooms. Good breakfast. Better than expected. Well done Campanile!
It's a simple and pretty hotel in a easy location and with a good breakfast
Standard old fashioned Campanile hotel (not yet renovated). Plus of this hotel was the large green space around it and friendly owner. We paid a promotional rate, otherwise the hotel would have been too expensive, as all Campanile hotels have become over the past few years. Breakfast (euro 9) was also too expensive for the quality offered, especially the quality of the bread and most noticably the croissants and pain chocolats is decreasing every year in all Campanile hotels. From fresh locally baked in the "good old Campanile days" to reasonable industrial bake off to low quality/budget industrial bake off. I am starting to wonder if there is any real butter in them left.
The staff was not very friendly. The restaurant was expensive. It was very noisy from the room next to us.
Close to the sea front, very clean and bright, ease of parking. Good servive and excellent value, some very good convenient restaurants.
location no internet facilities available
It has a very nice pub.
Spacious room Not particularly comfortable
Very friendly staffs, willingness to help was high, caring for customers vehicles, location is good, the most importantly the pub in the hotel is great. can not ask for more for the price you pay for. very clean.
excellent location at the see (we had a room with seesight), room with enough own sitcomfort, buffet for a French country extensive. no lift, no airco available, but understandable for this price.
The Polish (female) waitress / bartender was excellent. We liked the food very much - the room had a funny smell though.
The location is excellent and the breakfast first class Renovations and works being undertaken which was incionvenient but the most disappointing thing was non availability residents car parking, Had to use the public car park next door which cost E15 . No offer was made of reimbursdement
The room was clean and the decoration was new and tastfully done. The hotel staff did not speak English but we managed to get buy without to much difficulty, and thats half the fun when travelling abroard.
Good location, we had a nice room with a sea view. Very nice helpful staff and somewhere to park!
Good sized room; pleasant immediate surroundings The restaurant was closed during our visit (no advance warning given) The proximity of a large oil refinery would have put us off if we had known about it, although it had no impact on the hotel or our stay
Large confortable room and very quiet None
Cleanliness Basic bordering on frugal. Food was below average, certainly not gourmet.
nice place overall, pretty hotel, not far from seine, etretat and seine-maritime tourist spots. good breakfast. watch out when wind turns - refinery fumes rather ruin the ambience. gravenchon has very little to do wrt food, bars etc.
The breakfast was very good indeed It was like a motel. No-one was in on the day we arrived, and we had to use a previously emailed code on an entrance door combination lock. Our keys were left out on the reception desk, and we saw no staff at all until breakfast the following day. The restaurant was advertised as of high quality, and this contributed to our choice of hotel. However, the restaurant was closed, even though menus were visible at the entrance gateway and within the hotel itself. We had to go to a local creperie to have a less than satisfactory meal, and this was a very disappointing outcome. The rooms were adequate only, and the overall cost was equal to that paid in Bayeux the previous night in the Novotel Hotel, which was luxurious by comparison.
breakfast no evening meals even though we requested them in our booking, restaraunt closed sat&sun
good breakfast - pity it's not included though - clean rooms - good location for seeing the seine valley, upper normandy and the odd trip to rouen. premier rooms are pricey - oil refinery is a bit of a surprise and a bit noisy at night despite being quite a way off. not much wrong with the place though.
The owners were very welcoming, friendly and provided lots of advice about local attractions. Table d'hote meals were very enjoyable and gave the opportunity to engage with the other guests, and sample the local cider, calvados and cheese.
This second visit to La Ferme Saint Nicolas was as good as the first if not better as we had superb dinners in the evening this time. Our hosts were charming and friendly.
The courtesy and warmth of the owners, the food, both at breakfast and dinner (when possible), the quietness of the location, the size of the family suite.
Much has been said about the breakfast, and it is all true! We didn't try the evening dinners, but heard very positive things about that from other guests as well. The location is quiet and very nice with the animals on the grounds of the farm. Nice places like Etretat and Honfleur are within easy reach, and other places like Le Mont St Michel are just a 2 hour drive away. The room was simple, but the bed very comfortable. The owners do everything they can to make your stay a pleasant one.
Very quiet setting. Owners of the inn asked if we'd like to stay for dinner for 20 Euros a person. Good meal and good value. Owner ate with us, as did others who were staying for the night. Very cute cottage with two separate bedrooms and a futon that comfortably slept 6 people. Cozy setting. Glad we stayed here. A really intimate feel.
The family atmosphere our hosts created amongst the international guests at meal times was a delight and the quality of the breakfast and dinner menus was outstanding.
Excellent service - Stayed overnight on the way to Calais with Family. We checked in late and requested an early breakfast. Breakfast was therefore provided in our room and was excellent. The room actually turned out to be a small gite with 2 bedrooms, lounge/diner & kitchen etc, with a rural outlook onto a farm. Would highly recommend for anyone travelling with a young family - Watch out for the turkey though!!!!!
Very good breakfasts and a very nice dinner for additional payment. Very friendly owners. Excellent environment - clean air and picturesgue surroundings in a village style. Interesting room decoration. Maybe, it would be better to improve a little heating system in a room. It was a bit unusual to do everything very quickly not to be frozen in the evenings.:)))
Very friendly, warm welcome on arrival. Accomodation full of character in lovely countryside. The owners were very helpful giving lots of information on local places of interest for us to visit. None.
The hospitality and friendliness of the owners was great and the fact that English was spoken if necessary was extremely useful. The accommadation clean, comfortable and unique. As a centre to explore the area this hotel is in a great position for both countryside and seaside.
Easy to find. Clean. Pleasant staff. Very uncomfortable beds. Didn't seem to be much for breakfast - there were 5 of us and we paid 40 euros for a roll and drink each.
Noisy exhaust fan in bathroom.
Comfortable, friendly, excellent breakfast. Restaurant closed on a Weds and long drive to nearest one. No tea/coffee in room
Easy to find, convenient stopover. Comfy, clean, just what we wanted.
Wonderful comfortable beds. Friendly welcome.
clean, quiet and polite friendly staff. The restaurant is closed during August to "solo" visitors as the hotel and facilities are taken over by coaches and tourist groups. The web site should have known this.Price was a little high without B/fst.
The pleasant welcome we received from your staff. The room smelt of smoke when we arrived. I realise this is as much a problem of your other guests.
Good reception service Restaurants and Bars Breakfast is served from 07:00 until 10:00. Dinner is served from 19:30 until 21:00. is the description included on the web site. This is not the case and we booked specifically to avail ourselves of this facility.
We messed up our booking and the staff were very accomodating Not very comfortable
Given we were only staying one night, the helpful and pleasant attitude of the staff and the excellent self-service breakfast
WiFi in whole hotel, free parking, restaurant in hotel. None
The staff were all efficient and the proprietix really friendly and helpful. Whilst a bit basic it was very clean and not bad for a 2 star hotel. Fridge in the bedroom and decent tv but no air-con.Excellent French food in the restaurant but pricey if you didnt stick to the set menu which had limited choices. Lots of local French people eating there which usually says something about the quality of food. I found it relaxed and friendly and I enjoyed my stay. Continental breakfast only but beautifully presented. When you arrive, it really doesnt look good at all from the outside but is so much better inside.
Excellent room with a view of the Seine; very friendly staff;a good sized car park. Restaurant was closed on the Monday we visited with no restaurants close by so had to drive for dinner.
