Very welcoming and clean rooms. Bathroom well equipped and bed very comfortable. Easy parking and quick access to main road for beach or nature tour.
In the outskirts of the strange town Rocio (10 mins walk to the center). Clean and very nice hotel. Good service and a very friendly staff. Good breakfirst.
Excellent room, friendly and helpful owner who pointed us in the direction of local non touristy activities... Including flamenco at two in the morning. Awesome nature stuff.
Modern facilities in a fabulous setting
Good room. Very friendly and helpful (English speaking) manager. Just 15 minutes drive to the beach at Matalascanas.
Fantastic design, more like a safari lodge in Africa but very memorable. The wildlife was amazing even the hoopoes on the grass outside the room.
Beautifull location, very nice hotel in a bird-rich environment.Constructed of natural materials and far away from the plastic world.Goog food!
very little why does it have 4 stars??...no room service...had to explain what a gin and tonic was to the barman!...the room was falling to bits...put it this way I hope I never have the misfortune of staying there again
Its quietness This hotel localization is misplaced at your Site Map
ease of access from road. quietness. No porter. Swimming pool area badly equipped for reading while sun bathing. Not enough sun shelter . No outdoor chairs
the bedrooms was a very good size, with a very good shower breakfast was not good
We checked out after 2 nights having booked for 5 the my resort is poor although the hotel is fine it would be classified in my opinion as a 3 star not 4 The hotel lacked atmosphere it seemed that there were only 4 staff at all times doing as many jobs as possible.
Because is a very tipical Hotel. We preferer a bigger pool.
The hotel is very good located to reach the main attractions of Sevilla. The bus connection (which passes every 15 min) brings you in 15 min to the center of the city. Expensive food
Instead of a room there were two bedrooms, a bathroom and a living room so that it was more like a suite. It was furnished with traditional pieces, but still had TV and refrigerator. I loved the two rocking chairs which we moved onto the little patio at the front. The hotel is gradually being added to, so there are some building works hidden behind fencing. The reception, restaurant and other facilities are beautifully decorated with antique and traditional furnishings. The restaurant food was fairly basic, but we had difficulty ordering as the menu was only in Spanish and the waiter had English that was as limited as our Spanish. So it may well have been that we could have had something more satisfying if we could read the menu. (However, this was not the only place in Spain where this was an issue.)
The room decor is lovely and the layout spacious.
Access to the surrounding area , especially Donana . Excellent receptionist , unfortunately I do not recall his name . Limited and insecure parking
The accommdation was quiet (despite it being close to the main road to Metalascanas), comfortable and spacious. It was easy to get to and well located for the local beaches and national park, the church of El Rocio is just across the road, close enough to get to easily but far enough away from the crowds that visit not to impinge on the ambience of the hotel. The children loved the swimming pool which was well maintained with a lifeguard always in attendance, Nice place to stay and a good centre for visiting the local area. The local resturarant is mixed for breakfast but good at other times, there are many other good places to eat offering good value within walking distance. We enjoyed the stay. Hotel reception staff were mixed ranging from excellent to poor, we had a small problem with hot water which took too long to fix despite being reported to the maids and reception. Eventually a receptionist fixed it at 11pm. I speak some Spanish so no problem for me but but non of the staff appear to have any English which could be difficult.
size of apartment too much like a travel lodge
Third time we've stayed there - superb location for bidwatching and wildlife. Comfortable rooms, mostly with superb views. Great restaurant with excellent service and great food. Upon arrival found we had been allocated to a twin, rather than the requested double room, which must be one of the only rooms with no view - facing onto a courtyard which is a building site at present. However, we were fairly quickly re-assigned to a super double room on the top floor with all the view we could have wished for. Surprised that the hotel had such a grotty room!
Excellent location especially for nature lovers. Good authentic food with good service throughout and in outside bar area. Atmospheric location Breakfast would be better served in main restaurant rather than round the bar area. Could do with more tourist information on show/available Asked for a double but got twin - not sure how many double rooms they have?
Staying at the hotel Toruno in the unique village of El Rocio was a delight. The hotel itself is charming but without many frills. Our room overlooked the lagoon which was filled with flamingoes when we woke in the morning. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful and spoke some English. The location of the hotel is stunning
Very friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere.
The location is perfect, overlooking the lagoon. You can bird watch from your bedroom. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. There is not much choice of food at breakfast.
Located on the edge of town very close by the Donana and the flamingo's. Location and cleanliness of the rooms is the best part of this hotel. Rather expensive for the accomodation provided but the location is worth the upcharge.
Ideal location in a unique area. Staff friendly and helpful.Overlooks the lake teeming with birds.
Very friendly staff, good restaurant. We had booked 4 months ahead for a lake view room, but did not get it.
The location was excellent. near the park and town but far away from the noise. We did not see the notice about open windows and the problem with mosquitos. Perhaps it could be displayed in a more prominent position.
The fine hotel El Toruno lies in beautiful and romantic El Rocio, right out to the birdrich Donana marshes. Very nice decoration and fantastic meals in the restaurant. Breakfast should be possible in the part of the restaurant with panoramic views over the marshes. This was not the case in our stay.
The Hotel is very close to the MonteBlanco circuit which was very handy as I was working there for 2 days. Although no one at the hotel spoke even a little english they were all very helpfull during my stay. The room was clean, warm and even though I was next to reception very quiet. Having checked in at the hotel I went to work at the Race circuit due to problems I did not finish there until 2am and on returning to the hotel I found all doors locked and metal shutters pulled down? I had not been informed how to get in and it was only luck that I had the hotel phone number still on me and could ring reception to get them to open the doors again otherwise I would have been sleeping in my car!
The hotel was very comfortable and clean ....sadly their restaraunt was not open ....maybe a sign of the economic climate.........located in a lovely village and a great place for a stop over on the way to Portugal from Spain
The Hotel was in a good location and handy to walk into the town. It was very clean and extremely good value. There was parking close by. Despite having advertised the restaurant and excellent wine cellar there wasn´t any restaurant facilities. We were not made aware of this until arrival. We could not get tea or coffee or any light refreshments when we got there. This should have been stated as the restaurant was really boasted about.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and the room very comfortable and clean. breakfast could have had more choice.
Very good service, nice hotel at nice location
Close location to the Donana National Park. Hotel set in charming Spanish village with great town square. Clean and compfortable.
only stayed one night on our way to Portugal but found if very good no
friendly personel, although not speaking english too much noise, breakfast from 8.30h
Very clean, modern, side of motorway, easy for restaurant and refreshments Next to motorway so could be noisy til later evening, above bar so noisy til late evening, no signposting got lost twice, only time I saw the words Dtransit Chucena was at reception desk, it is actually a motorway service station not in Chucena itself.
