When you stay at Rectoral de Anllo in Sober, you'll be 14 minutes by car from Gargantas del Sil. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: We had a lovely dinner there. The food was traditional with a bit of flair. Nacho, the owner was helpful with services including calling a taxi for us and explaining the options for short hikes in the area.
Cons: The wifi was sketchy. The walls are thick and perhaps a repeater would have helped. Streaming media wasn't really possible. The pricing for the dinner was reasonable but the wine prices were higher by 30% in comparison to another quality dining restaurant we visited.
Pros: - Very nice and welcoming staff - Very comfortable room, beautiful garden and surroundings - Good breakfast
Pros: Everything. What can i say. Perfect place.
Cons: Nothing. Place is amazing. Great value and incredible area and service.
Pros: The quiet, the surroundings, the peace, the feeling of being one with the environment, the conservation of the house and knowing it was around in the 1700's and the fresh food. Nacho has provided information, and catered to our very whim, including providing us with his own blue tooth speaker so that we could listen to our music. He also arranged for a lovely private dinner under the stars! Thanks to Teresa for treating us like royalty all the time and serving us gracefully during meals. This was our second stay but we will be back!
Pros: The staff, especially the owner Nacho. The historic building. The grounds: flowers, fruit trees, etc. Clean room, delicious breakfast with many homemade products.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.
Pros: Great rural location with an eccentric, quirky and very charming owner
Cons: Our ground floor room was very hot even with the windows open all night.
Pros: Good communications with our hosts before we arrived at this delightful accommodation in a quiet, peaceful rural setting. Our check-in and introduction to our room and the other facilities were easy. Rectoral has been beautifully renovated and appointed. Our spacious room had views over the valley and a modern bathroom with an external window through the thick stone wall. We enjoyed our 2 dinners and breakfasts with attentive service and appreciated the travel advice and local knowledge of our hosts
Cons: The wifi was flaky and didn't reach our room on the story below the nearest modem in reception so we had to go upstairs to do basic travel-planning tasks

Pros: We had a self-contained unit at this property located in the beautiful countryside near the Canon del Sil in Bolmente. The unit was modern, spacious, comfortable and very clean. It was very well equipped (even a toaster was provided) and the property has both outdoor and indoor BBQ facilities. Guests can use the commercial standard washing machines and driers in the property, which were very good. Suzanne, our host had arranged for relatives who could speak some English to help us with check-in, which was very helpful and a nice touch. We enjoyed the view from the balcony over the property and out to the surrounding countryside each afternoon and early evening of our stay. The property is also very close to a couple of the miradores (viewpoints) of the Canon del Sil - A Cividade and Bouqueirino, both very spectacular.
Cons: Nothing to dislike.
Pros: The apartment, the host, the environments and views
Located in Nogueira de Ramuin, A Casa da Eira is in the mountains, a 3-minute drive from Sil Canyon and 7 minutes from Miradoiro de Pe do Home. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, luggage storage, and laundry facilities.
Pros: The house is a very cozy country home. It has got a lot of character and it's very comfortable. The owner, Adolfo, is very friendly and helpful. He even gave us free coffee and toast in the morning for free. He gave us lots of information and maps about the area (what to visit, walks...).
Pros: I loved the area and the host was very friedly and helpful.
Pros: Characterful and quiet. Great location for the Gorge de Sil
Cons: Parking ok for small car only
Pros: The host Adolfo is very kind and helpful host.Prepared delicious breakfast for us.
Cons: If you are a light sleeper, it might be a bit difficult to fall asleep as you can hear people talking in the room next to you or downstairs in the living room area.
Located in A Teixeira, Casa Grande de Cristosende is a 4-minute drive from Pasarela do Rio Mao and 6 minutes from Adegas Valcar. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, luggage storage, and a library. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: If you are looking for peace, quiet and a stay in a traditional building this is for you. Wonderful countryside all around and beautiful view over the Canon del Sil. Not very close to other amenities. Staff friendly and helpful, room large and bed comfortable. Good restaurant.
Cons: Only minor detail but WiFi not very good, generally not good location for signal.
Pros: The view from the room (6) is spectacular. Menu is varied and good, very generous. Staff is curteous. The hotel is very beautiful, we travel often and Casa Cristosende is amongst the top we stayed in. Will return.
Cons: Lack of refrigerator in room
Pros: Location with an amazing view and very comfy stay. The house is well decorated, clean and modern. Breakfast is super nice and being able to have a drink or some snacks at the coffee place is a plus
Pros: Spacious room, terrace with a spectacular view on the Sil river. Very nice staff.
Pros: Spacious well appointed rooms, very comfortable and clean. The bathroom has a bathtub, hot shower has a strong flow. The hotel is very quiet despite being located right off the road. People working here are super nice and accommodating. And watching a sunset over the river is unforgettable!
Cons: Breakfast is poor, you better off having just a coffee and having a breakfast in a different place. If you are comfortable driving in a dark, have a dinner in a neighboring village as well
Pros: Beautiful and stylish old house in a peaceful location with great views. Friendly and welcoming staff.
Pros: Despite language barriers the staff helped us plan a wonderful day. Wished we had asked for help sooner
Cons: The location is a bit off the beaten track. and the roads are confusing. Local map was incredibly useful
Cons: During my stay at some point while we were out for the day money was stolen from my suit case so for any body staying there make sure you leave no money or valuables in your room Also the food was appalling practically inedible So it didn’t matter about anything else the fact that money was taken nothing can make me recommend this place I am very disappointed that my whole trip to this wonderful country has been ruined by one low life individual
Pros: Location, kindness of the staff, nice view from the terrace, spacious room
Cons: Rooms were a bit noisy
Pros: An excellent room with a great view. Good facilities. Good breakfast
Cons: Evening meal was very disappointing and it was the only option available without using your car. A good chef would make all the difference.

Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The whole experience was excellent. From check in to check out was a remarkable experience! Miguel was such a delight ! Even though we knew very little Spanish he gave us the utmost attention even though there were a number of guests in the hotel. The food was superb and the Casa Grande was unbelievable! So many rooms full of memorabilia you felt as though you were living in the owners home .
Cons: Not really a criticism just an observation that someone with a duster would have made such a difference. I found the shower difficult to get in and out and thought maybe a rubber shower mat would have given me reassurance.
Pros: One of the most original hotels you will ever visit.
Pros: It's like staying in a museum. Very beautiful old stone building. The old open fire kitchen is very nice but they only put it on at 10 pm at night. It is near some really nice hiking trails and they give you plenty of information about walks.
Cons: They have hair-dryers available on request but it is not stated anywhere. It was very cold but thankfully they gave us a small fan heater. The road to get there is in very bad repair. The bathroom was damp with peeling paint and mould. There was no phone signal and the WiFi didn't really work. The breakfast is 8€ per person for some cakes or toast.
Pros: A very old and unique property with friendly staff and good parking. Restaurant manager, Miguel, most friendly and helpful.
Cons: Very old fashioned furnishings in bedroom. Very quiet village.
Pros: Miguel was a delight & his attention to detail was exceptional. He ensured we enjoyed real Galician food & wine & our stay @ Casa Rosende turned out to be the highlight of our tour of Northern Spain. We will hope to return!
Pros: Very beautiful and well-kept manor, with a rich history, beautiful and interesting design. Each room is something special and with its own history. Delicious breakfast, served in a separate breakfast room. Very friendly staff. The hotel is located very close to Canyon de Sil
Cons: A little hard without knowledge of Spanish, but the staff is trying very hard to help. Breakfast starts a little late
Pros: The enthusiastic and kind hospitality on my first visit to Casa Grande de Rosende is what made me want to come back. The breakfast is also delicious, served in a beautiful dining room looking out onto the courtyard. The house is magnificent, full of art, history, and plenty of nooks and curiosities.
Cons: Wifi is unreliable in this zone, in my experience, so I would not discount the property's overall rating for that. However, for business travel, it is a big problem because you cannot be sure if you will be able work online inside the house. I found myself wandering the courtyard and parking lot at all hours, in search of a signal to check emails and Whatsapps, but there are many worse places to wander! Some rooms are close together and the walls seem thin, so the house can can be noisy at times. This did not bother me, but some guests no doubt are looking for extreme quiet.
