Pros: The Hotel building, plus the surrounding area transmit a sensation of peace and quiet. You would never guess the main road is actually quite near!
Cons: We have stayed several times at the Hotel. On this occasion we chose a more expensive room, thinking we would be overlooking the golf course, but were still overlooking the parking, like other times (it seems the other rooms have still another tariff..), so that was a disappointment. Room was large and comfortable, with a walk-in wardrobe, but lacking a proper mirror (there is only the one in the bathroom).
Pros: Very friendly employees
Pros: Nice place and nice staff. They helped us with all and we can did a late check out. Thanks!
Pros: Quiet and peaceful location, free parking, nice hotel design.
Can Borrell is set in the Medieval village of Meranges, in the Catalan Pyrenees. It offers traditional accommodation with mountain views and a restaurant serving home-made local food. This rural hotel is set over 1500 metres above sea level. Puigcerdà is 10 km away, and offers regular train links to La Molina Ski Resort and Barcelona. The borders with France and Andorra are also nearby. Free Wi-Fi access is available in the whole hotel. Rooms all have central heating and an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer. Can Borell’s restaurant has a terrace, with views of the Durán Valley. There is also a bar and a games room. The hotel’s reception offers a tour desk and packed lunches. These are ideal when exploring the surrounding countryside, where hiking, cycling and skiing are all popular activities.
Pros: Can Borrell is a lovely rustic mountain family run hotel with a fabulous restaurant. The staff member we met was friendly, spoke good English and French (in addition to Spanish). The room and bed were quite comfortable. We only stayed one night on our way out of the country but plan to return when we have more time to enjoy the area attractions and more of the chefs delicious menus.
