The location and price were excellent.I was pleased with the parking provided by the Hotel.
Location to university. Very honest staff after accidentally leaving my gold necklace in my room it was still there when I returned from the city
It is convenient and close to buses to get into the city and is very comfortable The shower is a bit antiquated and tired looking.
Nice setting and good for access to coastal walks and Sidney centre. Right next to bus route. Booked room with sea view. Did have a lovely sea view but our view on second floor was obscured by trees so would go for a higher floor if you pay the high tarrif for the view, and our immediate view was of public car park.
Ideal location, Friendly, Excellent value for money
It was quiet enough for me to rest, and I like to stay in a hotel that isn't part of a chain / mulitnational corp. No complaints really - I did really need breakfast at 7am (had to leave at 7.30) and hot food wasn't available, so I had muesli. But it certainly didn't ruin my day.
The staff were so friendly and helpful! It was nice that your name was remembered.
Clean, exceeded my expectations as a budget hotel, brekky was great. Close to transport, staff were very helpful. I would certainly stay again.
The gentleman that booked us in was one of a kind, he went way out of his way to direct us to the motel and was most caring.
central to many tourists sights
This is a quiet, clean, comfortable, hospitable and reasonably priced private hotel in an interesting neighbourhood within a short walk of the NSW Art Gallery and NSW State Library and the Botanical Gardens. There are several good pubs within short staggering distance, as well as Harry's Cafe de Wheels, one of Sydney's top outdoor restaurants. The nearby waterfront is also interesting to visit and to contemplate while eating one of Harry's pies with mushy peas. A nice place to stay if visiting Sydney for a few days for pleasure or business. Your breakfast is self-service and as generous as you like. The main failing of this hotel is that the reception desk is only staffed for limited hours. You are advised to check in before 6 or 7pm, as there are extra fees and uncertainties about late check in. You need also to be self-reliant after 7pm until 7:30am as there is no service as such at the hotel over those hours. You will be given a front door key. For myself this has never been a problem over several stays over several years. This is the situation in many small private hotels.
Proximity to the CBD. Access to secure parking. Avoiding the Police RBT by staying in the hotel.
The way an old Sailors' Home had been transformed into a very modern and comfortable hotel. The reception closes at 6pm. We were delayed and did not have access to a phone to arrange a delayed check in and were nearly excluded for the night.
Close to everything Very noisy, bathroom extremely small
I liked the location, the price and ease of booking
Large spacious 2 bedroom apartment that had all the facilities we needed, great view and walking distance to esplanade and beach.Good showers. Very well priced.
The location was excellent close to shops & resturants, excellent views and a large sunny, private balcony with outdoor dining and a barbeque.Manager & Reception staff very welcoming and pleasant to deal with. It was let down by neglect of maintenance particularly in bedrooms where many curtain hooks were missing and light bulb out at top of stairs as you entered, this area was quite dark and stairs as you opened the door unexpected.
Proximity to the beach and ferry Lack of decent kitchen facilities
The location, fantastic being so close to the beach and the Manly CBD The bathroom facilities were old and in need of repair, shower was tiny and took ages to regulate the hot water
On Manly beach and a great view of the beach from the room. Can leave the car and walk to all the local attractions and restaurants. Compared to the other Hotels in the area this represents good value. I did book the smallest room, Beach view, but whilst the bathroom was small it was ok for a weekend away.
Its location wrt facilities like restaurants. Access into and out of the underground carpark.
Pool was clean room was promptly cleaned every day. Pleasant cleaning staff. Windows blocked out reasonable well the sound from the street as we are shift workers who sleep in. Curtains kept out light for same reasons As before. Bathroom was cramped and only got hot water if no one else in hotel was using it. Whilst we stayed it was very hot the garage was horrible to be in. The stairs access to the garage from the hotel side was filthy I was scared to touch anything it stunk and there were stains everywhere.
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was perfect. Also the parking facility is a bonus for Manly. A little noisy from traffic being on a busy corner but wouldn't deter me from staying again.
The location is useful with nice coffee shops around The room was badly kept with the curtains torn and unable to close properly. It was very noisy and not value for money. Breakfast was a sorry affair.
it's location to where my function was being held at at first entering the room, it smelled of cigarettes
The beds were comfortable and the staff were helpful and accommodating. I also found the location good, it is close to the university, food and transport. I am a light sleeper and I fond the traffic noise a bit annoying (my room was facing glebe point road). I also found that some of the other people staying in adjoining rooms were loud late at night.
It was nice and close to the CBD, and really handy to the bus stops etc. About 10 mins from the city and a very nice location. Friendly staff. There is no elevator, so don't bring too much luggage (they do have a porter who will bring your bags up though). Also, try to get a room away from the road as the rooms aren't especially sound-proof.
The area that it is in is very accessable to Sydney the surrounding area provides good take away food if you are on a budget. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the pool was a real plus. When all the decorating is finished this is a good spot to get to Darling Harbour the tram is just down the road. I would go again! the cooffee bar over the road is great too!! There was a bit of damp which had created mold on the carpet in our room around the fridge area but otherwise everything was great
nice, clean and affordable
price - value relation, nearby centre. Easy public transport Choice of breakfast small, Size of the room
very close to all centre facilities very dirty and uncofortable beds
The best thing about The Haven Inn is its location. We were visiting relatives in Glebe and the location could not have been better. This is the third occasion we have stayed here each time we have been well looked after by the staff. Thank you all.
Leaving it. Pillows dirty, noisy, smelt, light in shower did'nt work was given a light globe to fit ourselves, still did not work, kettle did not work, overall a very disapointed stay
pool view gym location restaurant design claustrophobic, staff offhand,
Agreat hotel in a great location close to all the northern beaches , resturants & golf courses
convienent location and comforrtable surroundings no complaints as everything was good
We chose this property because of it's proximity to the wedding reception venue we were attending. Didn't realise it was so close to the water. Appreciated parking availability. Property was perfectly adequate & comfortable.
Parking facilities, service from reception, rest was accommodating for an overnight stay Cost of on site alcoholUnhappy with amount of personal infromation collected on arrival
the cleaning service of the room every day. the facilities of having free tea, coffe etc lack of information about buses and metro the lack of channels in the TV the interior design, carpets, etc
Room space is too small. Putting too many beds into a twin room and pretent it to be a family room, then charged for a family room's price. We have been treated like a fool.
Easy to book a room, good parking, friendly staff, relatively close to Sydney, close to train station. Very crowded in the room, instead of three single bed there could have been bunk beds
good value, friendly service, clean comfortable room with good facilities
friendly service from staff & convienance to transport. I was in a non smoking room but some one had been smoking recently in the room and I had to take allergy tablets to over come my reaction to this. The room was very smokie. This is not a reflection on staff as they have no controll over people while they are in their rooms. If possible the room should be aired out for several days but it was a busy time & not possible to do this.
the location of the hotel just 20minutes train two darling harbour. safety yes, i cant understand why that guys charge my credit card if i pay in cash the 3 nigths , the charge two nigths to my credit card i need your help to reverse the transaction
Clean towels daily and beds made up each day. Dirty stairwells with worn carpets and smellt of cigarette smoke, stale smell in the bedroom and it needed redecorating. Noise travelled from corridors to rooms.
It was close to everything we wanted to be near. A short walk to lovely cafes, shops and pubs in Summer Hill and only a short drive to the Sydney city & Bondi beach. For the price we paid, everything was great.
The staff were very nice.It was close to public transport. The beds were comfortable. There were to many beds in the room, made it very cluttered & squashy.
located on a major road, close to trains. like the open courtyard with kitchen facility. Could do with an iron and hair dryer.
Staff were courteous and friendly. Location was convenient for sight seeing and value for money.
The day staff is friendly that opposite to evening staff. Noise, tired old bathroom, crack on toilet seat, unsafe in terms of poor security lock.
We arrived late at night and left early so we really cannot comment on this. Late staff was not very helpful when we asked where we could get meal.
Clean and spacious room, free Wi-fi. Definetely going back! The parrots outside woke us up at 6 am.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Sizeable and quiet Rooms. Interior of the rooms look tired. Only continental breakfast starting from 07.30. No Lunch, Dinner, or Room Service available. 1 Channel reception on TV.
easy access transport, self help continental breakfast in very pleasant courtyard setting
Although it is situated near a big road , it still was quiet which is positive The basin was all marked but the worst was what happened in the middle of the night. Our toilet systern shattered on the floor during the night without reason . We called the night concierge and told him that it was dangerous to leave the debris on the floor as we needed to use the toilet during the night .He told us where the public toilet was in the hotel . When we said we would still need to use the bathroom to have a wash in the morning and we could get hurt, he went away and came back with a broom that he handed to us. We had to sweep the bathroom floor ourselves. It's inadmissable. He should at least have cleaned the floor and perhaps try to get us a discount to keep a customer happy.
Free Parking and internet The hotel was undergoing renovations which were not told about at time of booking. The room was not clean to many standards, on the one day we did request our room to be made up the sheets were simply thrown over the bed. Staff where incompetent and dismissive. Was not what we expected from the photos and description, there were cracks in bath and sink not an overall possitive experience. Could have gotten better accomodation for alot cheaper.
The atrium in the middle of the building was lovely and gave a great atmosphere to the place. It was surprisingly quiet, given its location on a main road.
We liked a convenient parking lot at the rear of the motel and the room itself was very cosy. We stayed there 7 nights. Very nice to have a fridge in the room. 25 min drive from CBD via Anzak Bridge (a little longer via Broadway and Parramatta Rd). It was ideal for us as we needed to drive all around western suburbs.Best location for that. Woolworth's is 1 min drive from the motel. I do not appreciate the shower type when water flows directly on the floor. The floor remains wet for a long time and if you are two people it's not pleasant to use bathroom with wet floor after your partner's just taken shower.
We went to watch the rugby, the shuttle service was good, the room was very noisey, but nothing that earplugs couldn't fix, our room access card didn't work on the 2nd day, that was fixed quickly, room was clean and basic. No lift
Very happy with all aspects Shower nozzle arm was leaking. No great problem
petrol station right next door... the male staff upon arrival was rude and not helpful...didn't know that debit card could be used like a credit card even though it had VISA on it... would not stay there again..the shower was shocking water all over the floor
its location close to shops and sightseeing into canberra very quiet items missing from rooms such as tv remote in room 26 & and telephone receiver in room 25
Convenience and location to ANZ stadium nothing really
Nice clean room. After checking in there was no record of my stay on the computer. So my access key did not work the next day, the room had not been serviced and more worrying the room could have been rented out to somebody else with my belongings still in the room. Even after checking out the hotel contacted me to find out what room I stayed in.
Close to Olympic Park, as we had an event to attend to at the Showground- only 10 minute drive. It was a little cramped with 5 people (2adults & 3 children) staying in the one room (Quad room + 1 trundell bed).
Handy location; very pleasant staff.
