The peace and quiet
Lovely location. Relaxing atmosphere. Gardens, including vegetable garden were very nice. Staff were helful but not overbearing. Liked the hordes of swallows on the roofs. Wifi only worked downstairs.
Comfortable hotel with a good selection of menus for all tastes and pockets
comfort, great food and drink, the staff gave me and my friend english menu when they saw us struggle with the french one. overall brilliant
Location for the main routes is excellent It is a long walk to the town centre
The modern decor and the excellent restaurant.
Thethe food and the staff in the resturant were excellent Hetel room was very basic and noisy
Not bad!! Very convenient!!
New hotel in Gueret
A very large room - there were four of us but there was plenty of room for us all. A newly built hotel? Seemed like it. Very clean and comfortable.
A new well maintained hotel but on the edge of town. OK for overnight stop with a restaurant opposite.
Convinent location for our needs
The hotel was clean and modern and the staff were very friendly and accomodating
Clean and practical bed and bathroom. free parking, good restaurants nearby Breakfast was slightly in disorder; too many guests at once; no bread for 10 minutes
Good quality room with excellent view. Indoor pool and spa facilities. Meal in hotel restaurant exceptional. Nothing.
We woke to a wonderful view - having arrived in the dark Only that arriving in the dark we found it hard to find & we thought we were at least heading for some industrial silo - which turned out to be the hotel - at a particular angle
Nice location and good value The fact that even though you have a booked a room you do not automatically get a reservation for the dining room, we had to eat in Le Chatre (very pleasant) but the idea of the overnight stop was to not use the car. An email to the traveller asking if they would prefer dinner would be a good idea or offer room only and half board options.
It was a lovely looking hotel, with a nice pool, the breakfast buffet, although expensive was lavish, it was a good location only being a 5min drive from Chatre Our room was a little tired, it looked good initially, but in the bathroom the fixtures were coming away from the wall and the shower leaked. Also we were waiting for it to be cleaned at 5pm on the day we were checking in!!
It was a surprise to find such a high quality hotel in the area. The cuisine was excellent and the dining facilities comfortable and inviting.
Large room with beautiful view of pool and golf course. Good parking facilities. The outdoor pool was lovely and clean and l enjoyed a swim. It was nice to have a safe in room for valuables and the air con unit was very effective It would have been nice to know that there was extensive renovation work in progress and only one restaurantt and bar open. This gave us littel choice of food and the meal cost more than the room! Having said that , the food was excellent and the restuarant staff were excellent and very attentive to our needs. There were breakfast trays left on the floor outside rooms for most of the day which was rather unpleasant, but our breakfast in the room was lovely.
View from the balcony in the room was lovely, indoor and outdoor pool, though we didn't have time to try these, they looked very nice! Room very clean and spacious for the money. Evening meal choice is very limited, no room service, 4 course sit down meal starting at 7:30 for €32 a head in the restaurant or nothing. This wasn't convenient for us as our 1 year old daughter was in bed and neither of us wanted a big meal, and didn't feel comfortable about leaving her in the hotel room on her own. I ended up driving back to La Chatre to get some take-out food. Would have been nice if they did a room service menu.
Breakfast in the morning on the outside balcony. The view from the rooms. The room and bathroom where very comfortable. No coffee making facilities in the room.Charging for a very poor quality robe in the swimming/spa area.Restaurant has a very limited menu.
The hotel is out in the French countryside. There is very little around this hotel so it is a good get-away. The rooms are very clean. The "double" beds are two twins pushed together with separate bedding but they are very comfortable. Very quiet location. The hours for the swimming pool and workout room are very restrictive if you plan on doing other things during the day. They are only open from 0900-1900. However, they do offer both an indoor and outdoor pool as well as a reasonable workout room if you can use them during these hours.
beautiful views from bedrooms and dining rooms.Good choice of food at breakfast. dinner very good but restaurant rather expensive-especially the wine!!
Very clean. Staff very obliging when 2 extra pillows were requested Although few guests staying whilst we were there, the room we were allocated had a very uninteresting view. I feel that we could have been offered a room with better view.
Staff very pleasant
poor attitude of some staff spoiled our trip see above
The fantastic welcome
helpful friendly staff. An outdoor pool at their sister apartments over the road. Nice town. rooms a bit small, restaurant menu not very child friendly
easy to find and efficient for a business trip
Good bed. Good fan. No shower (or curtain around bath). No air-conditioning. We managed but both are a problem in hot weather, particularly for large or fat people who find baths awkward to manage.
This is an beautiful, recently refurbished hotel, a real taste of rural France. When you book on the internet you always take a chance but we were really pleased with our stay. We got 2 lovely rooms to accomodate our family ( 3 kids) . We ate in the restaurant (no other option in this small town) and the food was very good. Although the kids menu was limited they went out of thier way to find something for my somewhat fussy 13 year old. Even had free wifi in the reception.Overall I could not recommend it highly enough.
Nice homely establishment Decor left a lot to be desired

Very nice refurbished hotel with excellent value for money, especially when booking the suite, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms; ideal for families!
An excellent experience from start to finish. The staff were a pleasure to meet, being efficient, friendly and English speaking, Although our room was small it was beautifully presented. The hotel had a lovely terrace to relax on, with car parking across the road. The restaurant had a stunning menu, which was sampled every evening. One not to miss. On the down side the hotel was located in a village with nowhere else to eat, but with the standard of food at the hotel you would not want to eat anywhere else at all.
Fantastic little hotel, tucked away in a very quiet village. We did not get chance to sample the menu but it looked superb and from talking to others is excellent.Breakfasts were delightful and the staff could not have been more welcoming. In an area where there are not many hotels this is a brilliant find.
You couldn't hear other people showering next door. Quite small, but excellent value for money.
Fair price, easy check-in, clean, nice breakfast Arriving late (22:30) gives no possibility to eat outside, except in mcDonalds, because the nearby city is dead
Free wifi It was basic but fair value
Ability to come and go direct bto room without entrances and corridors. Bang head on overhead bed.
Very pleasant, helpful staff, comfortable room. No restaurant facilities in the hotel or town an a Sunday night.
Parking near to room. Lots of bugs around our room and the light outside, (all over the entrance door).
It was a hot day (30degC) and we were put on the hot side of the hotel, when there were spare rooms which had not had the sun on them all day. The room was stifling and remained so all night.
Super! Very quiet, very convenient location, easy to reach.
Evening meal, new bath room but the shower head was broken, the road out of this place. On arrival the room smelt strongly.( I have no sence of smell so it must have been bad. The sheets and towels had not been changed (although I was there at 0930). I was very tired after drving all night and it would have been cleaner for me to sleep in my car outside this place. The entire place needs an urgent visit from a hotel inspector, to see if it should still be holding international guests. In the morning the breakfast was a pre packed buffet with no fresh cheese or meat with rolls. The staff didn't even cme u to you to see if you were ok, as soon as you pay you are out the door. The views are not as good as in the picture, it is like a back street , 1960's bedsit in a rough part of london, do not bother with 8 euro for breakfast.
Good food, friendly staff. Very poor room in the price band we paid.
The setting is stunning. The food and staff are superb. We wiull visit the restaurant again. The room was shabby and in need of refurbishment. Worn carpets, walls amateurishly painted in a garish green colour. Showerroom facilities sufficient and well laid out- again some attentions needed such as fixing the tap to the basin.
Striking position with superb views from the room and terrace where we had a most enjoyable meal
