This typically French hotel provides excellent value for money. The restaurant provides an exquisite fine dining experience
Very nice stuff. Willing to speak English (which is not obvious in France). The view is great with the castle next to the hotel and the village is very nice. The breakfast was expensive but poor (especially compare to other hotels). We went to look and decided not to take it. Also, they are charging for little children (our child is 3 years old). The rooms were clean and very big. However, they need renovation. The rate for these rooms is too high. The restaurant of the hotel has a good service but the food is not good and vary expensive.
Only one night's stay. Evening meal was excellent, hotel staff very attentive and very conveniently situated. Room was pleasant to stay in. No, but a rather average breakfast for the cost.
We dined in the Restaurant and found the atmosphere very dull.
Pleasant staff. Unsafe stairs. Airless room. Food did not measure up to what was attempted.
The whole experience, the hotel the restaurant was superb. Nothing
The staff were very plesant and very good service The pillows in the room were poor quality
Comfort of room, and quality of meals in restaurant Difficulty of accessing and leaving the rear car park
Lovely location and convenient for the St Malo ferry. The family room was spacious and the hotel were helpful about an extra bed for a third child. The town delightful and we had a great, cheap meal out.
The staff in the dinning room were excellent, the dinner superb. Your two waiters were very helpful and amusing. the bedroom was adequate, the decor a bit 'tired'. We had to wait rather along time for the waliters to take our dinner order as theywere some what busy.
Family room is spacious. The rooms got quite warm at night, especially upstairs bedroom. Air conditioner was not effective.
The room is clean, quiet and nice. The king size bed was two single beds putting together. The restaurant is expensive. Unless you are a golfer, there is really nothing else to do at the hotel; no swimming pool, no tennis court, etc. It's really only for golfing.
The room was excellent value for money for a family of four, bright and roomy with a balcony, fantatsic value. (1) Air-conditioning did not seem to work, we had to open the sliding door in the middle of the night to let some cool air in. (2) It would have been nice to have had tea & coffee making facilities in the room, not everyone wants a full breakfast
The Family room with the upstairs for children was excellent they loved it, it was like another room just for them. The food in the Resturant was very nice and lots of choice and the wine was just as we like it. My perants stayed in room 103 and the bathroom was not very nice at all they would have liked a bath in their room, not a wet room shower it looked very dated that room.
A good clean room in a quiet location with an excellent restaurant Nothing really
Lovely location. Room was a good size with mezzanine floor for childrens beds. We enjoyed seeing the golfers as we ate breakfast The restaurant food was great for adults but a little too fancy for our youngest child.
Excellent facilities, welcoming staff
The spaciousness of the room was wonderful as well as the view. The staff was extremely helpful in recommending places to eat. Larger trash cans for the bathroom and it needs one for the main quarters. Wi-Fi needed in all rooms.
A very clean & modern hotel, very comfortable and relaxing, also a beautiful setting. unfortunaltey if you dont play golf (like us) there isnt much else to do, you may also get woken up early with golfers leaving their rooms etc to play golf. ideal for a 1 night stop over though.
Rooms are excellent. Wanted to eat in the restaurant and we were unable to book a table (this was part of the reason for going to the hotel). Restaurant staff did not make any effort and our dissatisfaction was exacerbated when we found out that there were several vacant tables in the restaurant that we could have occupied.
The hotel was relaxing, beautiful and very pleasant. I thought the restaurant was expensive and not value for money. The camp site restaurant provided better food at half the price.
This is a really great family camping/sports/adventure complex. There is a very nice hotel, campsites, rental cabins, a half dozen different swimming pools including a waterpark, and wave pool, adventure trails, horseback riding, tennis, golf, soccer, bars, restaurants... It's huge, really, but very well run, very affordable considering everything it offers. A lot of fun for kids and adults. Also near towns like Dol de Bretagne and one of the most beautiful sites in France, Mont St Michel. Will definitely visit again.
Very pleasant surroundings. The room was fine but badly needed two easy chairs, not just one seat. The shower head was insecure, the bath slippery and danger could be averted by the provision of a "grab handle".
The hotel was well represented and in a good location for a stop over night. We did not get a chance to try the restuarant but the breakfast was good. A good selection.
acces Piscine (manque vestiaire ou peignoir dans chambre?) Non
Reception staff and hotel room were of a high standard. Cleanliness very good. Nice location. Lots of options to use the facilities of the Des Ormes complex. Thought the restaurant was very poor. Meal was expensive and we were forced to sit outside in the evening due to preference being given to a coach party. Waitress not very attentive. Breakfast on the first morning was not satisfactory. Not enough choice, food kept running out and not enough staff on to replenish. Second morning was better. If you are a hotel guest and are paying more money for your stay it is not fair that outside guests take preference over hotel guests in the restaurant.
Very nice location between Combourg & Dol de Bretagne, ideal place to visit St.Malo, Mount St-Michel, Fougeres, Vitrè, Rennes...Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean; the bed is big enough for tall people and very comfortable too. We had a room with view over the little hotel pool, and it was ok. We really slept fine, as there was silence all around. Nevertheless, if you don't like to be so quiet, you can go around the domaine, where there are several activities to be undertaken. The bathroom was appropriate and clean too. The personnel is absolutely great, very kind and helpful.A well run hotel in a peaceful location inside 1h from many interesting areas, where you can find also plenty sports and entertaining activities. It is a pity that breakfast is not included in the reservation; nevertheless the breakfast buffet (9 euros pp) is good enough and the waiters very helpful and keen.
We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. The rooms were extremely comfortable. There is also a lovely pool area to relax in.
The view over the lake is brilliant
lakeside view showers, no shower head and the grout on the tiles are mouldy
The room and the location of the hotel
Food was good, room was in an annexe and very poor.
good location near the river and town centre room was very basic and over priced. We usually paid 15 euro less at other hotels for this level of accomodation. The staff were also not that friendly.
convenience to town price somewhat high for hotel
Food good. We stayed on 2 separate occasions, one night each time, just over a week apart. Room on second stay (in main hotel) good. Location good for the town of Combourg and touring Brittany. Room on first stay - it was in the Annexe and well below par, in major need of upgrading and refurbishment - I think this applies to room numbers 40 upwards, ours was 43.
great views of castle and lake, plenty of restaurants within easy walking distance, pleasant bar, pleasant helpful staff, garage to store our bikes heating didn't work in our room but they changed us to another room - took some time though
The restaurant and lovely meal. The scenery and easy location to town.
Location close to golf courses.Good kitchenette.New hotel. Not much english spoken.Breakfast wasn't served until 9am which was late when rushing off to play golf. service at breakfast was slow.Hotel has changed its name so it was difficult to find!
Hotel location was too remote, the traffic is very inconvenient. The room was acceptable. Hotel has no restaurant, no restaurants nearby is a serious problem
The place is very new, sparce, the beds uncomfortable, the bathroom uncomfortable for the number of people accomodated in the unit. This was not really a hotel and services, like restaurants are distant. The website gives the impression that Mont St. Michel is not too distant and that is why we chose this place. There were no signs to the hotel and the name only matches that on the website in small print after another name.
Clean, comfortable but too old.
The welcome we received from the owners was fantastic and the hotel and location were really special, I would highly recommend and hope to re visit one day. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.
sweet little town-very friendly staff
Wonderful village. Must take a walk up to hill --splendid view. And we were surprised by a Crucifix overlooking the beautiful little village and a tower to Our Lady! The hosts were very nice and and helpful. Spoke English... Very nice room. Do not miss this one. We would like to go back for an extended stay. One of our best stays in France.
Lovely quiet village close to larger town with plenty of restaurants, staff very friendly and helpful, room large and clean. Excellent value for the money bathroom was very small- a bit crowded for a man.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant in the Hotel was excellent.
A really nice place to stay, nice rooms, very clean, comfortable beds, good breakfast None
Friendly owner and staff, location and comfortable and quiet room.
We cannot fault this hotel - It was better than some 3* we have stayed in. Owners and staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly and the atmosphere typically French. Even the tiny village is aware of visitors' needs - The church bells are always switched off between 7pm and 8am! The hotel is on Mont Dol, a rocky outcrop like an inland Mont St. Michel, though without the tourists. It is amazingly quiet at night, and although small, the bedroom was clean, comfortable and with a stupendous view. As pensioners we loved the welcoming peace and quiet when we returned from a day's trip. There is no restaurant, but the one right next door is adequate, and if, like us, you do not mind a short drive there are at least 3 excellent ones (at the same price) in Dol de Bretagne 5 minutes away.
Very low-key, no nonsense approach, staff spoke very good english only one rstaurant nearby
The kindness and willing to help of the owner, the room and its cleanliness, the breakfest, the atmosphere. I will definitely recommend the place to my friends. None
wonderful staff and homely atmosphere no
Excellent little Hotel, very intimate, exceptionally clean, hostess is very kind, attentive and most interesting. Will definitely visit again.
Outstanding location. Peaceful and quiet. Exceptionally friendly and welcoming
A very lovely place to stay; rooms are beautifully decorated; the ambiance is very good. The owner is making it a "Boutique Hotel". And we have had chance to join the dinner together with the owner and her local friends. A real good souvenir of trip to Mont Saint Michel! The road indication to the hotel is not s clear, even with gps, we had some difficulties to find the hotel. But finally thanks to the music and nice neighborhood, we found it. And it's a complet pleasure to be welcomed in L'oisette
The welcome, very comfortable bed, quiet location and breakfast.
the location, excellent breakfast
Definately a nice place to stay! The location is good to explore Mont St Michel, St Malo, Dinan area. The bed is very comfortable, and we were spoiled during breakfast time.
Excellent place to stay, probably the most welcoming hotel ever stayed at. None
