hospitality was great, we felt at home nothing
Very pretty rooms, one with open fire place, useful in winter months. Excellent host, Richard, who welcomes you with a bottle of his own wine. Good stopping place if coming off Garden Route through ostrich country on the way to Cape Town or vice versa. Wine country. Good breakfast, restaurants within walking distance in small town.
It was a good b&B. Comfortable with excellent breakfast, attentive host, but the highlight was a room delivered supper with cold meats, cheeses, biscuits, etc. and a complementary bottle of wine. Beautifully presented and done with great care. It made the stay! Also excellent meal at Jessica'S. To be recomnmeneded. Vines? There are no vines, all died by flooding river in 2009. There are now newly planed, very small olive trees. Neither did we have much of a view from our room. Others could have had better view but no vines Had different expectations from info provided.
it was outstanding, a little bit of paradise! wish we could have stayed longer!
We stayed here whilst taking the R62 to Plettenburg. Beautiful town, great place to stay.
Great place nice people. I would allways go back, I love it. The fireplace lets smoke into the room they need a fire shelf and skrt. I am willing to hel with design of the fix..
Setting was very good with a lovely garden and the service was first class including a complimentary carafe of wine.
The friendliness and helpfulness of Richard and all staff, the opportunity to relax 100%
Very good hosts. Very good wine and breakfast. Useful information provided also. I would recommend Richard and Clare without any hesitation.
Very friendly and welcoming. Extremely well appointed - enjoyed our welcome carafe of wine and the breakfast was excellent.
Very pleasant owners and a beautiful garden. The surroundings are very nice.
The Garden Suite is really fantastic: large living room, extra bedroom, balcony for own use stunning garden
Both May and Mike were extremely helpful and their accomodation was very comfortable and clean, and we would have no hesitation in recommending other travellers to stay there.
beautiful hotel with stunning views and excellent food. extremely friendly andI would recommend it without hesitation
Location, facilities, food, personal service, views from room
everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything, everything! No Brown sugar in the room for my morning Coffee
Fantastic location; gorgeous room; gourmet meal; quiet and relaxing; excellent feel good factor No
Seclusion, luxury, family-run. Nothing.
Stunningly beautiful in every way - would love to have stayed longer!
Beautiful location, lovely thatched roof, great facilities including outdoor shower, lovely food, hiking trails, ostriches and deer in grounds, staff most helpful.
This was not a luxury room - very basic and three star maximum very tired and shabby
The front desk clerk who tried to help us despite Booking.com's booking for us not appearing in the hotel records. She also moved us to a better room after we found neither the phone, remote control for the tv were working and that there was no blow dryer. Very tired furnishings, malfunctioning or missing items like remote control telephone and blow dryer. I'm a frequent traveler worldwide and I've never seen any place this ridiculously and overrated. Calling it a "deluxe" room was laughable. And I certainly will not be recommending booking.com to anyone.
The personal feel of Tielman and Corrie I was made to feel like the only guest there....and the food of course.
I very much like the calmness and the stability, the reception and parking was good and I would very much tell my friends and consider staying there again. No there was not, everything was as was expected.
Owners could not do enough to make our stay more pleasant
The owners were delightful and so helpful. The room was rather basic.
Friendly, helpful, laid back. close to good restaurants.
A wonderful B&B, one of the best we stayed at during our month in South Africa. Very clean and fantastic artistic breakfasts. A super pool in a beautiful garden with mountain views. Lots of places to eat at within walking distance. We will stay again next year.
The hosts were very attentive with considerable thought given to floral presentation touches of a delightful breakfast. There was a special traditional feel to the accomodation, but it was not lacking in modern amenities.
Good location in centre of town.Very friendly owners who were very helpful-as all South Africans seem to be.Very clean accommodation with bottled water and home made buscuits.Nice pool and peaceful garden.I would highly recommend a stay here to explore the beautiful Route 62.Owners have 4 friendly dogs.Excellent breakfast. No.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The position in Montagu is very good for walkiing around the gentre of the town. Lovely gardens and pool.
Lovely Hotel with a great restaurant. Central to the town Breakfast was rather slow and disorganised
The lodge has a beautiful garden and is located in the centre of Montagu but in a very quiet area. The food at the restaurant is absolutely delicious.
The quality of the meals was outstanding. Good range of wines. Lovely gardens and rooms. Staff most frienly and helpful. Although we do not normally watch TV in the room, there was cricket and rugby on that night which we would have liked to have seen.
Very charming place, a lot of good vibes offering a unique atmosphere. We definitively recommand room N°9 for the huge terrace ! Although quality of food is very good, we did not like the "group half board" style dinner. It is a fix menu at a fix time with a no surprise banquet service. Would recommand going out for dinner.
warm and welcoming. Food excellent in every respect. Outside areas very relaxing and comfortable
Very homely, beautiful place
