The Wozza's B&B and Vault Cafe provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. There's never a dull moment at this hotel, our guests indicate that the facilities are excellent.
Pros: Comfortable, homely and good fire
Pros: The landlord
Cons: The pans were small
Pros: We really enjoyed talking to Wozza and playing with Charlie. The breakfast facilities and the room were super nice. Very cosy and well thought b&b.
Cons: The kitchen and bathroom facilities could have been cleaner.
Pros: The hospitality of the host, the attention to detail, all was very clean and comfortable. It was lovely!
Cons: Nothing, all was perfect!
Pros: Wozza’s place was great! Comfortable, lovely building right in the centre of Melrose and really reasonably priced. Thanks!
Pros: No gluten free breakfast was available so I brought my own breakfast. However, the main living areas were very clean, spacious and warmed by a pot belly stove which was fabulous. Thank you Wozza!
Cons: All was fine!
Pros: Adequate breakfast. See below. Nice backyard to sit and relax.
Cons: Maybe some fruit for breakfast and fresh butter and marmalade would be good and loaf of nice bread. Perhaps guests could be given tokens for the washing machine rather than being charged as are people off the street.
Pros: Share Kitchen had a good variety of breakfast foods available
Pros: Loved this place. Adore Melrose. Family history there.
With a stay at Under The Mount in Melrose (Wongyarra), you'll be 9 minutes by car from Bartagunyah Estate. Featured amenities include luggage storage and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Clean, linen provide, excellent facilities and great facilities for mountain biking. Will be back again
Cons: Minor suggestion a dishwasher in the kitchen would to help cater for large groups of people.
Pros: The facilities were great. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location was good.
Pros: Very clean and set in a nice bush setting
Cons: Security lightening made the room a bit light for sleeping. But city people would be used to that.
Pros: Reasonable wifi (once it was working). Large communal kitchen.
Cons: Owners had gone off to Tasmania, leaving no-one to welcome us. Manged to get in and open up the kitchen. Had to ring to find out other things. Room itself is small with no facilities other than bathroom and bed, so have to commute between it and kitchen.
Pros: Very comfortable stay (which was great because it rained endlessly while we were there!) The shared kitchen/communal area is well stocked with all the basics and a lot of extras. Our room wasn't super large but we didn't spend much time in it so that wasn't a real issue. Very clean, and a nice comfortable bed. Wifi is best in the communal area.
Pros: Great place. Kristen and Don was lovely hosts.
Pros: Interesting accommodation aimed primarily at mountain bikers but good for us too even though we were traveling by car and had no bikes. Set up as a communal outdoor area and a large communal kitchen/dining area, plus surrounding rooms, it was a fun place to stay. It’s at the foot of the mountain in lovely little Melrose. The room was motel style but had everything you need and was quite comfortable. We were one of only two couples staying there, am not sure I’d want to stay when it was fully booked and busy.
Cons: It was slightly annoying that we couldn’t make tea in our room - the kettles are in the communal kitchen. But it wasn’t really a huge problem.
Pros: Good location and excellent value!
Pros: Great local advice, enjoyed our stay, very quiet and friendly, look forward to coming back
Cons: Having to pack up and leave, would of like to stay longer, we will be returning to experience again
With a stay at Taralee Orchards in Wirrabara (Darling), you'll be 7.1 mi (11.3 km) from Wongabirie Park and 7.2 mi (11.5 km) from Wirrabara Golf Course. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: The location was a peaceful, rural get away in the Wirrabara Forest. Farm dogs and animals were a bonus ! And the flaura and fauna were a joy to see. Our hosts Denise and Paul were lovely too. Just the perfect place to get away from the city and be close to nature. Loved the wood fire especially! And the organic fruit and jams, YUM!
Pros: Lovely well equipped comfortable cottage in a beautiful quiet location next to the forest.
Cons: no concerns at all
Pros: Beds fireplace Hosts View Beautiful place
Pros: Beautiful peaceful location and surroundings. The kids loved it.
Pros: The view was amazing. We had a couple of the owners dogs come say hello which was fun. The cottage was very neat and tidy and the Paul the owner was so friendly.
Pros: Very cosy
Pros: Wonderful hosts, provided everything - even baking paper! Thought of everything. Location was beautiful!
Cons: Bedroom and bathroom doors don't latch closed (easy fix). Shower pressure was fairly awful, couldn't wash my hair, also went extremely hot -maybe due to water saving shower? Main bed was quite firm, personally found it uncomfortable but others may like it.
Pros: Great holiday away from civilisation. We had everything we needed and the owner is very friendly.
