Very friendly welcome from the Host / Proprietor. Comfortable bed and clean room and bath room. Very good breakfast.
Very friendly and welcoming owner. Excellent location 5 minutes walk from town centre. Easy to find and good off-street parking. Excellent breakfast. Great value for money.
Great rooms, and great breakfast! N/a
From Start to Finish, did not like anything about Redwood Country House. I was extremely disappointed with my stay. We were greeted by an unfriendly gentleman, and felt like we were intruding by staying there. The room was freezing for the duration of the stay - The radiator was on, but much too small for the size of the room. Had breakfast the next morning and the bread was stale, put me off having the rest of my breakfast. This B&B is also at least 3km from Killarney, and not the 1km as advertised.
Everything was great, but especially loved the breakfast.
very nice, friendly and simple people!!! In heart of the city centre
John was great, very accomodating and helpful upon my arrival. The kitchen staff was was also very attentive and forgiving when I was looking for the dining room (which I had just walked passed) and opened the kitched door (which was clearly marked "Private") by mistake. Parking can be a little tight but it seems everyone found a spot. A very short walk to city center. Great breakfast. Odd toilet paper (little individual pieces from a dispenser rather than a roll). Nice place that I'd return to. Upstairs floor (above my room) was creaky, and being sensitive to that kind of thing, I was worried it might bother me. But everything was fine.
Very friendly & helpful on arrival,& on stay Shower cutting to v little water sometimes: perhaps there were too meny useing the water at the same time, when this happened!
The staff were amazing and always with a smile, very friendly and interested in what you are going to be doing also will help in any way. Can't stress enough how happy I am with my stay. Thank you.
The rooms were well outfitted but it was the family owners who made the stay special: helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable on what to do and see (tours, dining, etc.). It felt very homey but the location was walking distance to the Killarney city centre! Very clean, everything worked and the beds were comfortable. Internet wi-fi was slow but we were not there for business so it did not have a significant impact.
Good location with nice gardens close to town and attractions, very clean room, lovely friendly staff and amazing breakfast. Trouble with Wifi access. Walls a bit thin. Rather dangerous driveway.
We were extremely happy with our stay at the B&B. The B&B is a family business they very friendly we cldnt have been happier, the breakfast was amazing a lovely choice to choose from. The walk to the town was 2 mins walk we will certainly be going back next year. :)
Hosts were more than welcoming and very attentive. The room was excellent and very clean. The overall experience was amazing and we hae alreay talked about returning.
The owner was so pleasant and helpful. The breakfast provided with the room was also wonderful.
Joan, the owner of this B&B, is WONDERFUL. She is the best hostess we met in Ireland, and she's thought of everything. She is also a great cook! She goes above and beyond to make each guest's stay wonderful. The only item that might be concerning to future travelers was that the hot water does not last very long. If you're traveling with more than one person, it seems best to take showers at different times of day, or one will end up taking a cold shower.
While primarily for adults, I'm sure children are welcome. We loved our hosts Myra and Michael. Myra offered the full Irish Breakfast or a hearty continental. The Irish Breakfast was quite good. When I saw how close N70 was to the house, I thought we might have noise, but we did not, and I am a light sleeper. Good restful stay and wonderful conversations with Myra and Michael. Myra was helpful confirming our arrangements with the boat ride to Skellig Michael, having breakfast ready early so we could make an appointment, and she gave my husband and I a box of chocolates and birthday card when she found out we were both having birthdays while there. Being slightly north of the Ring of Kerry was also welcome because it was more quiet in Castlemaine which also positioned you nicely to Dingle. Nothing negative whatever to say.
