Pros: Super friendly staff Room was very clean Really nice room and located in a nice traditional style apartment building Breakfast was great, lovely continental style selection
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff, elegant surroundings, good breakfast and good central location. Quiet and peaceful room.
Cons: We didn't like leaving.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was good and location excellent! Also room was nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. Great hosts
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is really good everything is within walking distance, we didn’t need to take any public transportation. The staff are very nice, friendly and accommodating. We came an hour earlier than our check in time and Roberta checked us in as soon as the room was ready. She helped us to book some tour as well so happy with the service.
Cons: There was an issue with our shower head, the water wasn’t coming from the head but the side. This happened Saturday evening and Sunday they didn’t have any maintenance in house. It was temporary fixed but not really convenient for the guest to have this problem summer time and not have any person in the property to fix the problem. The bathroom has a drainage issue as well. Regarding the breakfast don’t have big expectations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, nice and clean rooms, good communication :)
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The staff was really nice! We arrived early and were able to leave our bags at the hotel while we toured part of the city. While we were out, I sprained my foot and the lady who checked us in voluntarily brought me ice and an ice pack for my foot! The breakfast the next morning was very good also.
Cons: The signage is not easy to spot. If we had not been dropped off directly by a hired driver, I am not sure we would have found it. In fact after being out touring in the city when we walked back we passed by the now closed entry door. (There are several doors which look to same along this building/street.) When we back tracked, we finally found the name above the buzzer for entry. This is not a true criticism - just a warning for future customers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fabulous place to stay, very central location in an incredible old building. We got a great welcome from Roberta, who was very helpful with directions etc. The family room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and breakfast was served by 5 star chef Yolande!! Highly recommended.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very central and staff where so nice. Walking distance to also every where. Rooms where basic but has all you needed.
Cons: Only thing I didn’t like is you have to lock the door when you come in at night and after 8pm as there is no one available at reception.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Staff is lovely, helpful, fun, and very welcoming. Great location and the building is a typical Neapolitan one with a charming inner-court and staircase, I loved it. Breakfast is also good for a guesthouse and served very nicely.
Cons: Lights in the bathroom are quite cold which makes it something uncomfortable. A warmer shade of white for the LEDs would help.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great hotel in the middle of the old town and in an arty neighbourhood - we felt right at home. The hotel kindly upgraded us to one of their new apartments and it was lovely with its own kitchen and roof terrace. Breakfast was excellent too - lots of choice. We'll definitely be back.
Cons: Unfortunately there was a problem with the air con on the second night which meant the room got too warm to sleep comfortably but the hotel did take some money off our bill to make up for it. Once they've got that fixed it will be perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything! It was quite superb and great value for money and top location - just 5 mins walk from both Dante Metro stop and the Archaeological Museum.

Cons: Nothing!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good and hotel’s locatipn was perfect.
Cons: My room on the 6th floor had a very small window , no fresh air was in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has been recently renovated and the design is really crisp and modern. I particularly liked the innovative signage. The rooms were very bright, light and white. It was very easy to read. Too many hotels rooms are dark and dingy and reading is impossible. We found it an easy walk to the city and there are many interesting parts of Naples just around the corner. The street outside has a number of bars and restaurants and Friday night really rocks.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is modern and comfortable. It has a beautiful courtyard. It is situated in a very good location, close to everything. Breakfast was very good.
Cons: Guest should not be allowed to smoke in the courtyard. It is annoying to eat breakfast and to get a load of smoke in your face.

Her son Gabriele (sp?) picked us up at the airport and provided a wonderful ride through Naples to the property, which afforded a spectacular view of the city and bay at night. Pros: We travelled to Naples recently on a 4 night stay and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Gina and the staff were all extremely helpful during our stay, checking to ensure we were happy and everything for us was ok ensuring we was happy with the breakfast and facilities. She even organised our transport to and from the airport which was helpful as until we got our bearings we wouldn’t of known where to go! The B & B itself is very clean and tidy and in a great location, close to the transport links for getting around the city and to the main station which is what we required from our trip as we were travelling around and out of Naples Overall I would definitely recommend this lovely little find in Naples and would definitely return to visit again!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: + Good location near the sea and in a nice area + Really friendly and helpful staff + Cosy room and B&B in general + My room had a wonderful private terrace + Good breakfast

Pros: bed very comfy upgrade with fantastic view, room very clean and impressive the owner and staff were very good, very close to metro system which is exelant

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Liked everything about this place, the staff were lovely and so helpful but not intrusive. Breakfast was a good choice. Its quite quirky and not like anywhere I have stayed before. Lovely view of the naples hillside from our balcony which was really nice too.
Cons: I wouldn't have like to be in that particular street on my own but that is just a matter of opinion. It felt a little run down. Once by the sea, two streets away if felt perfectly safe so maybe I am just not used to the Naples vibe
Neapolitantrips Hotel Royale - Naples - Bedroom
5
9.1 Excellent (919 reviews)
Overview Reviews
A stay at NeapolitanTrips Hotel Royale places you in the heart of Naples, within a 10-minute walk of Galleria Umberto and Castel Nuovo. Featured amenities include limo/town car service, dry cleaning/laundry services, and luggage storage. A roundtrip airport shuttle is provided for a surcharge (available 24 hours).
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. Air conditioning was great in the room! Very close to metro and attractions. Roof top bar was lovely.
Cons: Bathrooms were a bit tight and elevator was small.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Good value for money and good location Extremely clean Nice staff
Cons: The neighborhood and entrance to the building are quite a deterrent. But this is Naples. It helps to know there is a police station one block away :)
9.3 Excellent
Pros: We were quite impressed with this hotel. We were greeted by a wonderful staff, especially Fabiola. Every little amenity was in the room from toothbrushes, toothpaste, shaving razors, slippers, minibar with complimentary water, furnishings and very clean. The rooftop terrace with the restaurant and bar was an added bonus. A 15 minute walk to the ferry To Capri or other pot of calls. They let us store our luggage after checkout and called us a taxi for the train.
Cons: The hotel is located on the 5th floor which was not a big problem but we were there during the record high temperatures July 3-4, there was a major strain to the city’s electricity and and a surge apparently caused the elevator to stop and it didn’t help when 3 of my family members got stuck in the elevator for 30 minutes with no air. They were panicking and I ran up 5 flights of stairs to let them know they were in it. I have to give the young lady on staff there credit for defusing me and trying to reassure me help was on the way. She had patience of a saint. We had to wait for a technician to come and get them out. The building obviously does not have a maintenance person on staff. Everyone came out alive (lol) but hot and cranky. I’m sure this was not normal.
5.5 Okay
Pros: The breakfast options were small but nice. Air conditioner in the room was quiet making it easier to sleep at night.
Cons: Hotel noise, from in the room could hear people in hallway easily, English speaking skills were not very good. This is based off the reviews that they were good on booking.com. Certain parts of the room were out dated (key to lock the deadlock on the room) in our stay this key actually broke which lead to the hotel charging us 150 euros for repairs. Thought it was unfair and unjust to charge hotels guest this money. Won’t be staying at this hotel again. Can not understand how it has a 9.2 rating on the hotel. Very disappointing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was perfect! The room spacious and clean. The breakfast very good on the roof top with excellent view. The staff at the reception was perfect and very kind all the time. The staff at the roof top perfect and very friendly. Excellent cocktails! We hope to come back soon! Thank you for everything!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean Spacious Rooftop bar/breakfast
Cons: Not a great area only a lift to greet you until you get to the 5th floor.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The man on reception was exceptional I didn’t get his name but he was fantastic! Great base to explore Naples. Great rooftop for a drink and a view of the city.
Cons: Nothing.

9.5 Excellent
Pros: Our stay in MediNaples was perfect. The location of this B&B is wonderful- in the heart of tourist attractions, walking distance everywhere. It is also close to Alibus so there is no problem with getting there from the airport. The wooden doors from the street and the old elevator working for 10 cents make it even more special! The elevator takes you back in time :) Rooms are very clean and there is everything you need- towels, cosmetics, hairdryer, big wardrobe. It is nice and calm- we were travelling with a kid. Breakfast is simple but you’ve got everything you need- even home baked pasteries! There is always possibility to prepare tea or coffee. Staff is wonderful. They are very helpful and nice. They provide every information about Naples and some useful directions- make you feel like home. I trully recommend that place!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: MediNaples is in a locked building on Via Medina. Good location, walking distance to historical center, lungomare, port with ferry for islands, shops and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Sean. Nice room overlooking the street and large bathroom. Cleaning, new soaps and fresh towels every day. On the window there are shutters that you close at night and there is no noise from the street. The room is heated and wi fi works well. Breakfast is good, sweet and savory dishes, yogurts, juices, coffee, tea, fruit ... We highly recommend.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything exceeded our expectations in every way. We asked prior to our visit for separate bed for our baby and we got not only separate bed, but it was baby’s bed just like one he sleeps in at home. Shon from the reception was amazing, he arranged everything what we asked for and also provided us with many additional things, such as tray for early breakfast, called us a taxi for very early morning and gave his personal number in case taxi doesnt come. He was so helpful, always smiling, gave great advise about the city, the eating places, the shopping. He made our visit very special. Can’t wait to come back.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Staff were so kind to us and helped us when we had a late checkout.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Location, lovely room, staff were very helpful. We would stay again.
Cons: Breakfast could have been slightly better - more variety of cooked items and nicer bread for toast.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was stunning. Our room was spacious, comfortable, with a beautiful view.
Cons: Not applicable.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Our room was superb, fourth floor centre of the hotel looking directly out into the Bay of Naples. Small balcony, enough to stand on to admire the view. Massive double bed, comfortable, clean with fresh linen every day. Bathroom was outstanding, toiletries supplied in keeping with a top class hotel, brilliant shower. Air-conditioning in room was exactly right for the time of year (July), temperatures when we were out were around 32-34°C with little or no breeze so if you're doing the normal Naples experiences (Vesuvius, Pompeii, Sorrento, Rome etc) you need to come into a nice cool room. Breakfast was very good, wide choice - scrambled egg, bacon and hot dog sausage? Also pastries, yogurts, cereals, cheeses, meats, cakes and surprisingly carrots and green beans! They make the very best coffee, ask for coffee with warm milk. Fantastic location, there's a lot available within around a mile but the metro gives you great access to everything else - use the the metro on via Toledo, it's about 15 mins from the hotel. We used room service - ordered club sandwiches I'd recommend them.
Cons: There was no kettle in the room and the hotel charged for bottled water which was in a minibar. Given that a six pack of water is less than €2 surely the hotel could afford to give guests a free bottle of water every day?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was small but very well equipped! The breakfast was delicious and the manager even prepared a breakfast box for us to take on an early morning outing!
10.0 Excellent

Cons: Nothing. We both liked everything
7.7 Good
Pros: Triple was a great size for 3. They gave us a boxed breakfast to go as we left very early in the morning for a flight. Only stayed 1 night, but it was in a great location. Near lots of restaurants.
Cons: They need magnifying mirror in bathroom

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Well presented Boutique Hotel in a great location.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Breakfast could have been better. The eggs were dry. The knob on the door broke on my way out. There weren’t really many amenities. I could hear the entire road from my room. I could barely sleep with ambulances, people talking, and car horns outside my window every night. The room was very bare. The area isn’t the best. The cancelation policy is very restrictive. I was traveling for business and very sleep deprived. It exactly the best recipe for exceptional client service.

Pros: clean and bright, large room good for sharing with family members (bunk bed), good location between station and old town. helpful staff
7.5 Good
Pros: Staff were helpful, clean and comfortable room easily fit family of 5. The b&b is up a flight of steps (there is a lift which needs a 10cents coin to work). We arrived very late and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good. The location was a bit rough and ready.
7.5 Good
Pros: It was ready clean
7.0 Good
Pros: Clean cool room
Cons: The neighbourhood like a lot of Naples is very run down and initially a bit scary but after a few nights I realised it was very close to a lot of interesting places and I encountered no problems. Be brave!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The room, the kitchen, the stairway area are all nice and clean. Beds are good. The house seemed to be quiet. They offered maps and brochures which we found useful. Very close to Garibaldi and Porta Nolana stations.
Cons: The close neighbourhood, the streets is not the best but far from the worst we have seen in Napoli. Practically we didn't have any problem or any bed feelings on the streets though.

6.8 Good
Pros: It was a clean and nicely decorated room with a good location.
Cons: It’s not a hotel because not easy to find people at desk. We had to wait a lot before check in, despite our arrival time was communicated before. It’s rather a guest rooms, doesn’t give you facilites of an hotel. In the building you have to pay 10 cents each time for the elevator, it’s a bit stressfull.
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff are fantastic, extremely helpful, just excellent! The rooms very spacious, very comfortable and clean. The location of Barbarella Suits is excellent and in walking distance to all major sightseeing places and to the sea side!
Cons: I didn’t like the fact that Reception is in the corridor meaning that at 9 AM you will hear people arriving/checking-in/checking-out - it gets noisy - not in all rooms but in some.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very clean with great facilities and super helpful staff
Cons: The elevator requires €10c each time you use it during working hours - very strange and inconvenient if you don’t have change
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Good location close to shopping street, restaurants and fairly close to old town. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony. No noise from any neighbors. Comfortable bed. Hotel provided coins for the elevator (only needed during working hours). Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Cons: None of these are big negatives, just comments rather: I thought the 'king room' would have a king size bed, but it was an italian queen (ca. 160x190cm) rather, so I misunderstood that. Cleaning was pretty thorough, more than necessary: the cleaning staff moved some belongings into drawers or onto shelves, for which there was no need really. We were here when it was quite windy and there was a lot of noise from shutters on the building and opposite buildings; but I do not think the hotel would be able to do anything about that, and it is probably not so typical for Naples. There was also not a thick blanket/duvet, but there was room-controllable heating so it was not a big deal, just a thought for the hotel that they could save some energy/money by providing a blanket/duvet instead. Bathroom could benefit from a hook or two on the wall to hang used towels.
6.8 Good
Cons: It wasnt as advertised. This is more of a block of apartments with a floor of suites. Not the simplest to find and not a hotel or what you would usually expect for suites. The images arent exactly as shown. However the staff where extremely pleasant and where it not for that I would
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The property is located in an amazing spot to have a walk around through the shops and the city centre during the night. The staff was absolutely friendly and available to help us with the facilities in the room.
Cons: There isn’t any parking space. I understand the location but maybe the value of the actual room compared to the price is a bit excessive (maybe to include the mini bar in the price?)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect really
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect hospitality!
Cons: Nothing!
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Luca was a terrific and responsive property owner. He made sure our stay went well. Everything was very clean inside.
Cons: We were unaware that the suites were part of a floor of a building that had other businesses and offices.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location was near the subway station.staff was very polite and friendly. I guess this was formally apartment renovated to the hotel.
Cons: Shower was in the toilet room without any partition. I’ve never seen such a design.
Eurostars Excelsior - Naples - Building

8.8 Excellent (3,096 reviews)
Overview Reviews
The Excelsior Hotel is the historical luxury hotel on the seafront of Naples, facing Castel Dell'Ovo. It offers splendid rooms with panoramic views of the Gulf of Naples. The roof-garden restaurant "La Terrazza" offers an excelent cuisine with breathtaking views.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bed was a bit hard for me but the room and bathroom were very roomy. The shower water temperature was way too hot for me. After being out and about all day in the July heat and humidity I would have liked to have a cooler shower. The hotel staff tried to adjust it but it was still too hot. Took a cool bath instead.
Cons: Beautiful terrace for dining and drinks but was closed some evenings for private events. Another terrace, Sky Terrace, is only opened when the other one is closed but there were a couple of nights when both were closed. As a paying guest I did not like having to leave the hotel for a drink or food.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: Check in y check out un poco lento
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Ancient but extremely well kept to shape... All details are from legacy times. You really feel you are staying in a small palace from the mid 1900...all brass and wood works are amazing
Cons: That the lobby is not live and no service...may be it is because we are in August
7.0 Good
Pros: Extremely expensive and not worthy. Better go have breakfast a few blocks away. More then 30 euros per person.
Cons: Breakfast included.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Very enjoyable stay in this hotel with an excellent rooftop restaurant/bar, large rooms and beautiful views. The location on the seaside near the centre of Naples is ideal. This hotel is really a 5 star establishment.
Cons: The only little issue is the traffic in Naples is terrible this year and you have certainly to deal with traffic jams to arrive at the hotel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Great location, elegant hotel, clean and very comfy rooms, amazing view from the rooftop plus a special bonus - The Sopranos filmed one of their chapters there :)
Cons: Not that modern
6.2 Good
Cons: They implied that breakfast was included then we got whacked for 27 a head on breakfast. Most expensive muffin I ever ate
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, good pricing
Cons: That’s a shame that the day we arrive the rooftop was privatised for a wedding (it would have been great that the hotel let us know before)
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Sacrifice small accommodations for central location than this hotel is OK. Great breakfast buffet
Cons: Shower was really small
10.0 Excellent

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great location, just off via toledo. Very close to all the shops and many restaurants. Breakfast buffet was lovely and they even had gluten free options! The breakfast was on the ninth floor with great views of Naples! Room was clean and nicely decorated and staff were very helpful. Restaurant food was nice but very limited options. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Naples!
Cons: We booked a triple room and when we checked in, there was only one double bed and a sofa, which wasn’t made up. We had to ask reception to send someone up to make up a third bed. We then realised they had not left any pillows for the third bed! It was sorted quite quickly and they sent us some pastries for the inconvenience. However, it would have been better to arrive with the bed already made given that we booked a triple room!

6.8 Good
Pros: Walking distance from the port, so good is you need to get there straight away in the morning.
