My 16 year old daughter and boyfriend had tickets to the Celtics game and the drive home to Stamford, CT was to long that time of night so I found this room on booking.com and it suited its purpose. It is about 2.6 miles from the TD Garden but it is in somewhat of an industrial area. But if you are looking for a room to sleep in and a great Continental breakfast...it suits the purpose.
Carlos at front desk was very responsive and great - promptly changed our room to snother floor after we alerted him to heavy smoking odors on floor that wafted into our room and permeated elevator. Carlos came up quickly, said noticed the heavy smoke as soon as he arrived in th hallway. Round suite on upper floor was very nice with french foor separating sitting area with pullout bed - plush, updated, and clean - nice toiletries. Free parking and location near colleges we were visiting was the dras for us. Breakfast had hot selections and staff kind but mediocre in flavor. Cleanliness inside did not match lack of cleanliness and debris outside or trash areas issues. Not a good area - best to jump in car and eat breakfast elsewhere.
The service was excellent!!
Great room for the price. Great free breakfast with good hours (served until 10:30am unlike most hotels). The windows in the suite were really very drafty.
The rooms were nice. They over booked and messed up my reservations, so I had to settle for a king bed with some gassy girls.
Breakfast was good.
Morning breakfast was tasteful, the staff pleasant. However the noise level surrounding this hotel was horrendous, got no sleep at all. Noise level, combination of construction nearby which continued thoroughout the night, as well as ambulance sirens intermittently. It was a one time experience which I will not repeat.
First impressions we're excellent and that didn't change throughout my trip. The room was nicer than expected and perfectly cleaned. The front desk staff were very helpful, courteous and even helped me set up my Uber app (if you don't have it, you have to get it...perfect for Boston). I book into Best Westerns a few times a year and will definitely book into the Roundhouse on my next trip to Boston. A personal note: Thank you to all the staff at the Best Western Roundhouse for making me feel at home. -Joe Not exactly centrally located, but the inexpensive transportation made it a wash.
Very nice and quiet . Only thing is about heating system in the room ( noisy)
Confortable. Clean. Particulary convenient location for my trip. There was not water available at the room nor the breakfast area during the day.
I loved the continental breakfast every morning. Good selection, good hours - great way to start the day. Not necessarily the hotel --- but Boston itself and trying to find your way around with the one way streets etc.
Fitness suite No information about how to get shuttle at airport; in the low rent disrict
Easy access from highway and quick cab ride into downtown Location near hospital and rehab patients outside surrounding hotel
The location of the hotel. 1) Parking Charges (Other hotels are offering free complimentary car park)
Staff were mostly helpful, rooms was large and clean, breakfast was a great selection, had no problems here at all. Ambulance noise. Dealt with this by having the A/C on all night.
The room was great. Great deal for a King Studio Room.
Location and the staff were so friendly and helpful.they offer free shuttle to the airport and to the shopping centres and the free breakfast was so nice Actually nothing
We received superb service and were very pleased with our room. Upon arriving shortly after 7am, we were offered a free upgrade to a suite so that we could 'get some rest.' Everyone on staff were friendly and anticipated our needs. The room was comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel is a bit dicey. While waiting for the bus, we say several drug deals take place. To avoid this, we subsequently caught the bus on the other side of Boston General on Mass Ave.
The location was great as far as getting in and out of Boston itself. The Cuban restaurant attached had great drinks and great bartenders. Was hopping on a Saturday night when we returned to the hotel. The hotel staff, upon check in, had great suggestions and ideas for places to eat that were nearby where we would be going. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. Also, a continental breakfast was available, free of charge, each morning. A bonus. The neighborhood was shady. You wouldn't want to be out walking, alone, at night. The convenience store on the corner was full of bums. The hotel, itself, was fine, however, I was a bit unhappy that our room wasn't cleaned when we came back at 2:30pm. Other than that, all was good.
Good welcome, big large room, little far from the center with no subway. For good walker! Sheets of the bed were torn. The breakfast was not varied and poor quality
the breakfast and friendly service
Clean, spacious room; well equiped and organised hotel; free shuttle service to downtown, business unit (internet) and breakfast are the fine aspects of this hotel. Some personnel at the reception desk lacked patience and friendliness. The price for parking should have be given at the website.
Value for money
Room was fine. Internet was reliable and quick enough. Would be a good choice if you are driving but don't want to be as far out as Revere etc. The biggest flaw to this hotel for me was the shuttle. When travelling through Boston, I limit my hotel searches To those offering a shuttle. Unfortunately, this time I booked in a rush during a flight connection and the site I used didn't make it clear it only ran shuttles until 8pm - although after 8pm would be when a shuttle is really needed over public transport. Also, during the day, the shuttles are not frequent enough. I will not stay here again, just because the shuttle service is not sufficient. If I'm paying taxi prices, I may as well spend more on a different hotel. There are a lot of sirens, so if noise bothers you that might be an issue.
