Pros: Nice setting, close to Nimes, pleasant surroundings, quiet, relaxed, nice and comfortable rooms with small fridge. We were given two rooms at the price of a family one as they were out of family rooms.
Cons: We were greeted quite unpersonally and without information (wifi, breakfast) and that always makes you feel less welcome even if this is a nice hotel.
Pros: Staff were extremely helpful and kind.
Likely to make up for the hotel's shortcomings.
Cons: Tiny, cheaply finished rooms.
Rooms stripped of basics (soap/waste bins).
Feels like a cheap motel.
20-minute drive from Nîmes proper.
Pool tiny and dirty.
Food service on a porch only.
For those whose prime concern is cost; no joy otherwise.

Pros: My husband and I stayed at the Ibis Styles for 3 nights in December. We thought it was great. The hotel is right behind the train station, which was great for us, as we were using the train for transport. A short walk through the train station and diwn a picturesque walkway got us right to the middle if the old town. The staff was very helpful and had great recommendations for meals. Breakfast was included and snacks were available all day and also included in the rate. Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: The rooms are great! The only negative is they they are a bit small and a little dark. But, the space is used very well and it was perfect for what we wanted to do. Great value for the money!

This is a pretty good place to stay and a great value. However, it is somewhat distant (let's say half a mile each way) from the main tourist attractions in Nimes: the Temple & the Collisseum.
Pros: Nice rooms for price.
Cons: Somewhat removed from main tourist attractions of Nimes.

Pros: Location, opposite the railway and bus station.
Cheap rates. Not a lot of services, but is good enough
Relatively comfortable room
Cons: In comparison to other ibis budget, I missed a microwave for public use.
Very, very slow water drainage in shower. Some nights, shower was more an alternance of hot and cold water than a mix.
Internal building sounds, like doors closing, were more a problem than external soundproofing, for me well blocked by the window.

Pros: This hotel was only a 15 min walk (even for a tired 4yr old) to the center/train station but felt more like a small tucked away hotel you might find on a hillside somewhere. The courtyard/pool is stunning, with a really nice space for eating outside as well. The wind in Nîmes meant it never got too hot, but also meant the water in the pool was very very cold. The train to the beach at Grau du Roi (where the water is a bit warmer) took less than an hour and was only €1 each way. Great boulangerie across the street, plus a Carrefour just around the corner. The friendliness and helpfulness of the reception staff really sets this hotel apart. I travel extensively for work and can only think of one other hotel with staff so helpful, and that was after staying at that hotel for a month, not just the few days I spent at L'Orangerie.
Cons: We stayed in two different rooms. The first was more expensive but a bit more shabby. Its shower room really needed updating. The next room we had booked was much more cheerful and fresh, and the bathroom was fine.

Pros: Located across the street from the train station, on the "backside. Exit the station, cross pass the busses, bear left and it's a huge "target in sight." Carrefour City next door. Small but functional kitchenette. Great WiFi in room. Functioning air conditioning. As a solo senior female (I was unable to adjust the filters for this review) I felt completely safe and secure. I overlooked the train station, but could barely hear the noise therefrom. Highly recommend. I would stay there again
