The hotel had a good central location, and the room was good value for money.
staff heplfulness, the hotel position too small double bed
clean, better than a normal 3 star hotel. Large room and bathroom, but breakfast needs some improvement. For the money we paid, this is good enough. location...hard to find the hotel. There are signs all over the places. Once you realize this, it was easy to spot.
value for money ! excellent breakfast. Although in the city centre, easy accessible via het parking (which is cheap for overnight stay)
Good choice and value for the money.
friendly staff, excellent location, good breakfast buffet The room was smaller then i expected.
Great hotel, except for the shower shield... As it often happens, the glass shield for the shower was too small... It's almost impossible not to flood the room while showering!! Architects never take showers!
It's located in the very center of the town, they offered to change my room immediately when i asked it, polite staff and receptionists Everything was out of order (satTV, Saunas), the tradition room was tiny and changed it. Poor quality breakfast although there was a good selection
Location Very poor room noise
Central, easy to find, good parking facilities
Lovely furnishings, beautiful chandeliers. Great restaurant with a wonderful chef, good choice of food. Swimming pool was lovely. Thann is a lovely litttle town with an excellent brand new supermarket only 10 minutes (max) away by car. Very convenient for visiting Alsace/Switzerland & Germany The morning we left we had breakfast at 7.30 as breakfast started and there was only one member of staff on duty to attend to reception and the breakfast room.
Hotel accomodation and food Breakfast started at 7AM. Too late for me.
Truly in a park land setting which is a welcome sight to drive through to the ample parking areavat the backnofvthe hotel. Lovely old house with period furniture very comfortable nice size room with adequate facilities (although the floor in our room creaked a lot!) restaurant with high standard cuisine. Will definitely return. Creaky floor did disturb our sleep.
Very cosy and special - really a little castle
The personnel was very nice and proffessional.Comfortable and clean. we loved the breakfast buffet.
The staff and the restaurant. "Wifi" was nice. One thing I always miss from my culture (U.S.) is full showers that hang from the wall. I realize that this is not common throughout the world. Interesting locks.
Great restaurant, relaxed atmosphere, beautiful rooms, a little off the beaten track and therefore what i'd call a hidden gem.
Nice building but hotel staff is not friendly When you open your window (there is no airco in the room), it is so noisy that you can't sleep (traffic, trucks + rails ways in front) reduce your enjoy to zero...
Ate in restaurant one night out of five. Fixed. Really good meal and excellent service, in contrast with the rest of the hotel. Menu, at 39 euros was expensive compared with prices in other local restaurants. Had a superior room booked which was a very small room at the rear of the building. Was told that we would have to pay an additional 30 euros per night for a better room. There was a bit of an atmosphere with the Staff - a lot of falling out. The building is really lovely but it is looking a bit tired and dusty inside.
wellness closed at 8PM - way too early for business people - Hotel charges 10 pp to use wellness - swimming pool was dirty and not accessible
Much cheaper than staying in Basel. Hard to find.
easy to locate, good restaurant on site, easy walking distance to village of Ottmarsheim, quiet location, inexpensive but value for money, English spoken smaller room than other hotels booked on our tour but was adequate for overnight stay
Very convenient, just off motorway. We use this hotel when travelling between England and Italy. Beautiful town, lots of flowers, rather quiet.Convenient parking in front of hotel.
Helpfull and efficient staff that were capable of arrangeing our stayover very promtly and accurate.
A good hotel for people on the route between Germany and France. A little difficult to find.
No Restaurants! Better you eat in Neuenburg/Germany (5 min by car).
Great helpful service, nice room, good food-a very happy guest
Good location on edge of small village - but close to main routes. No locks on bathrooms.
The breakfast buffet they only had one cot for infants and it was already taken, therefore my 2 year old had to sleep in a full size bed with us.
It is our fourth stay at the Hotel, we appreciate its position (good if you come from, or have to cross Switzerland) its calm and cleanliness. Breakfast is also ok. Absence of a lift. People with reduced mobility will have to choose the ground floor (more noisy).
Value for money as Roi Soleil normally is - good economic stop off for business in Basle (only 30 mins). Non smoking hotel which is good (for me) - in Summer get room off the ground floor so you can open window and opposite side of building from afternoon sun (no aircon)
Easy parking We had been invaded by flies because the hotel is located close to a chicken's farmer.
We stayed here en route to Italy from Calais and the hotel was fairly convenient for that purpose only. Breakfast was OK. The beds are small and not very comfortable. No extra pillows provided. It was a pretty dismal experience really - inferior to UK budget hotels.
Easy access to motorway and excellent value for money when compared with other budget hotels. Everything was clean and worked well. Breakfast was ample and there was a decently sized room in which to eat it without feeling that it needed to be rushed.
Overall a nice and comfortable stay. The rooms were not soundproof, you could hear everything going on in the adjacent rooms and the hallway. Expensive breakfast considering its variety.
It's ideal to visit Mulhouse and its museums. It's easy to reach by car and it's located in a calm district. Good breakfast. Some spot on the fitted carpet.
Clean and quite room. good breakfast.
We did not like anything about the hotel. We reserved a non-smoking room but did not get one and we had to have the window oopen all night as the mattress, pillows, everything was saturated in smoke. It was very cold at night but we could not breathe properly due to the strong odor of smoke. We felt ill but they told us the hotel was fully booked after we checked in but we had reserved a non-smoking room.
Friendly reception. English spoken. Clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money, by far the best hotel in France I have stayed at in this price range. Location easy to find with a large number of shops nearby. I have since stayed at this hotel again.
Housekeeping made each day, towels and sheets changed everyday, really pleasant and efficient staff. Central situation of the hotel in the heart of the town, excellent insulation from noises of the city, thanks to efficient great windows. The breakfast is worth spending 6,15 EUR. (price of septembre 2015) Nothing i can remember.
The Hotel Kyriad Mulhouse Nord Illzach was a very friendly place. The room met my expectations as well.
We stayed on a stop-over between England and Italy, and found the hotel conveniently situated to the motorway, with very accomodating (we were late checking-in) and friendly staff. We enjoyed a good breakfast on the terrace, and the rooms were comfortable and clean.
Ideal place for an overnight stay enroute to Italy, clean room, pleasant staff, good breakfast, very good value and close to main autoroutes into Switzerland and France.
Value for money Poor breakfast
Easy access of the hotel, friendly staff, tidy and well-equipped room, good price.
Friendly, helpful staff - excellent restaurant - great value for money in clean, compact family friendly room.
comfort of the beds and the very friendly hotel staff no
I have been impressed by the excellent service received and the low room price. Also the hotel owned parking was very comfortable nearby. The prices for food in the restaurant were too high.
We were given a warm welcome and had all the facilities of the hotel explained. There was free Wi-Fi. There was a good selection at breakfast time. Although the rooms are non-smoking, there was a smell of stale cigarette smoke, and the carpets could have been cleaner.
The room smelt really bad. It took us about 2 days after we left to wash the stench off of us.
Central location, close to the railway station, tram, cheap restaurants.
Helpful staff. Comfortable room, superb breakfast!
Burned lightbulbs, poor TV-reception, flooding bathroom (no shower curtain, ... . To my opinion, this room was not ready for check in.
Good location, right price and friendly staff.
Central to the town and ease of access to all of the local facilities Finding the hotel was a bit tricky and the parking was on a different street to the entrance (although secure).
Proche centre ville, propreté, chambre spacieuse. le petit déjeuner médiocre et trop cher, le parking en plein air payant,
It is centrally located and very reasonable The air conditioning in the two rooms I booked did not work and it was incredibly hot/humid in the room. It is not possible to sleep with the windows open as the road noise outside is too much to sleep.
Quick and easy, good price room could be better decorated
the hospitality and prefoessionalism oif the staff, as well as the good breakfast and the clean rooms. Th eparking faility was also ok Not really
The triple room we had was considered very small for 2 star status and price that we paid.
Helpful staff Good parking
Th hotel room was very nice, much better than what I had expected based on the hotel rating. So I was really positively surprised. In addition the hotel offered free internet access and the staff was very helpful!
the friendliness , kind , and helpful service. Excellent breakfast. rooms are a little cramped , but we expect that in europe.Sorry, on question below, did not read reviews
Clean & Tidy No
Was basic but fairly clean. Very difficult to find this hotel. It is in the middle of a very intricate traffic system and the sat nav sent us into an underground car park which was a nightmare. will not rush back due to this.
ok for one night stopover. apartment was a good size but very very basic. cleanliness was not good food from previous guests splattered on the walls. Not nice!!
curtains did not cover the complete window, so it was not completely dark to sleep.
This kind of hotel looks really a nice concept. The room wath comfortable and offering much more things than what was advertised on the site. The water for shower was cold although my room was just straight over the hot water tank and I waited 6mn for hot water to come.
Good value studio for nights two and three of our stay, with air-conditioning (see comments below) We complained to the receptionist during the first evening about the intense heat in our non-air-conditioned studio with large windows and under a flat roof. We were assured it would be cool at night. After a night of suffocating heat, in spite of small fan, a different receptionist moved us to the air-conditioned room the next day and admitted to a serious design fault in part of the block.
Great staff - assisted with providing directions to local market. Very helpful with a great attitude.
dimension of room, frigo No air conditioning room very hot
It's quiet in the area, service is good. In the 4-bed room the possability that you can make thea of coffie. For us it was not fine that the breakfast on sunday was only til 8.15 instead of 7.15. We wanted to leave about 08.00 hours becouse we had a long way to go.
Sorry couldn't find anything we liked about the hotel, except it had a secure garage. Rooms where not modern and large as in the discription on the internet, The room was small with no comforts at all, although I will say sheets and towels were clean. Floor uneven and room very dark and not invitng at all, really disapointed, but glad it was only a 1 night stop over.
Colorful, friendly and comfortable No bar, very limited food
nice stuff room is too small, especially for 3 people
Very helpful and friendly staff, clean, free internet and free parking in front of the hotel. Where to start...
Hotel is designed in a very fashion way, I like it very much. Staff was good, rooms was very clean. Location is a little out of town
No frills basic hotel, bed, toilet, sink & shower. Adequate for an overnight stop. Interesting car-related lobby/breakfast room. I booked 5 rooms of which one the shower didn't work and another the sink leaked.
Clean, new and lovely bathroom. Good quality and clean. The rooms were very small! The website said I could check in at the counter up until 9pm on a Sunday but the reception was closed at 8pm. a little frustrating when you are wanting to pay by cash!
too small room. On the pictures it seems a lot bigger but rooms are 12m2 maximum.
fine for over night stay but as is in a commercial centre not for a holiday. no UK tv stations but small clean room and very good breakfast, well worth the 6 euro. Far better than Formula 1. Nearby restaurant fair but not budget, does have a buffet first course if you are hungry.
The best thing about Enzo was the breakfast. I enjoyed the different breads and cheese selections that were offered. When my husband and I walked into our room, it felt like we walked into a walk-in closet. The room was so tiny we could barely move around, and it was hard to fit our luggage in there. The bathroom was even worse. In order to use the bathroom, you had to sit sideways on the toilet because there was no room. The shower drain was also clogged. The pictures are very decieving. Our overall stay there was horrible.
excellent staff and breakfast none
Staff were verey accomadating and friendley, room verey clean quiet and comfortable No coffee making facilities in our room
None. To many to name, unfortunately.
Central location, pleasant staff.
Great value for money and staff were helpful and pleasant
The staff was very polite and helpfull. The location is perfect - very close to the city centre, just a few crossroads. An ideal place for a short stay. In front of the hotel there is a public parking, for which you should pay during the day. However, we were offered with a special place for our car at the back of the hotel, which was safer and free at the time of our visit.
It was in the centre very convenient The staff were exceedingly helpful even laying on a breakfast for me at 4:30 in the morning I cannot say enough about the staff they were excellent No shower in the room
The reception staff were always available. The beds and linen were well changed. Breakfast available for a long period. I would have liked a drawer in the table.
the staff as nice, he breakfast good the rooms were very oldy. without any style
The hotel is friendly and conveniently located near the city centre. There was a WC and washbasin in the room, with a shower room available along the corrider. I was able to store my bicycle under cover in the rear courtyard. The breakfast supplied comprised a glass of orange juice, a croissant, three slices from a baguette, some butter and jam, and tea or coffee. The charge for this was 7 Euros.
Reseption is not open until 23:30 as told. In the middle of the night we were just outside and afraid...
Terible smell, dirty
Room clean but very small, No one spoke english which made it very difficult
Cheap and convenient to motorway Restaurant was closed from 3pm Saturday. No breakfast available Sunday
No hot water, hot stuffy room, no breakfast available sunday morning
It was clean. Dark and un-inviting. Only one small towel in the bathroom for two adults. Poor booking process and it was only luck that we got in.
An inexpensive overnight stopover point. Would use it again but prefer a Hotel that is staffed 24hrs. Decent value for money so can't really complain. Had some difficulty understanding the electronic check in process.
Great price for suche good facilities
There aren't any Room was extremely hot and noisy, standard of fittings extremely poor, bathroom was smelly and hardly enough room to move.
Cheap and cheerful, what one expects for a brief stopover and sleep. Have stopped here a few times now but hate the electroic check in process. I struggle with it every year and it never recognises my credit card. At my last visit I could not use it but fortunately the counter was staffed.
The hotel was very clean. The room could use an update.
comfort, facilities (close to the trainstation, public transports), staff
Generally satisfactory, the level being what I would expect of a Mercure. My non-smoking room had a strong odor of cigarette smoke. Since the window was open I assumed the service personnel also detected it. A deodorizer would have been helpful. Due to the location, a certain amount of exterior noise was unavoidable.
Pleasant reception chap. Clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. Restaurant closed on Saturday night when we arrived late and were relying on it. Vastly overpriced breakfast. Cost of breakfast should be included in the room rate. Nowhere secure to park a car that would not fit in the underground car park. We were given two double rooms when we had booked a double and a twin.
The Hotel was very comfortable and in an excellant location close to the city and the rail station
Good hotel, free parking & internet one elevator was not working, during check-out it was a mess (off course maintenance must happen sometimes)
This hotel was excellent, last year I stayed in another hotel in Mulhouse an me an others guests were rob and it was an inside job, a combination of the staff and people fromoutside.
Hotel is at the quite area and has very good price/quality ratio especially for double room since they have same price for double and single room. Breakfast is very poor.
Quiet, good location = close to highway and close to Mulhouse, value for money. Very basic.
Hotel is good and is comparatively inexpensive. We booked two rooms for 4 persons. One fell sick and did not come but we were willing to pay what we booked (2 rooms for 3 persons). Our friend left the key in the room when she asked for our assistance on the heater, and could not enter the room again as it was locked automatically. No one was available to help. In the end she was forced to sleep on the floor in our room, leaving the other room entirely vacant during the night. Another bad experience was that we arrived at the hotel at 1:30 pm Saturday, and found that the pin code did not allow us to gain access to the hotel. We have to returned to the hotel at 6 pm.
Good stopover hotel not far from autoroute. Good breakfast served from 6.30 Asked for non smoking room but room had been used by a smoker
Staff were approachable and responsive, we were made to feel welome. One of our rooms smelt of stale cigarette smoke
check out at 11h
It waa a reasonable hotel - in a good position for the town of Mulhouse and the surrounding countryside The hotel lacked atmosphere, and the bedroom was not really clean -- the curtains were dirty and there were cobwebs round the curtain rail and it hadn't been cleaned properly overall. The bed was clean though and the facilities reasonable
Good price/performance level No printed menu
The room was clean. I really appreciated the extra blanket in the room. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. Everthing worked. The shower was nice. There wasn't a clock in the room. Hotel instructions should point out that you should not get off the train at Rixheim, but you must go to the main train station at Mulhouse. Although they say Mulhouse tgv, having never been there, I was confused and the person who sold me my train ticket had me getting out at Rixheim, so they must have gotten confused as well.
Nothing Nobody at the desk for 5 minutes as they were busy with restaurant (good for those eating but bad for those waiting to check-in). Triple room was really just single room with 3 beds. No room to walk in the chamber. At morning, the hotel tried to charge us for breakfast without asking if we had breakfast (we did not).
Clean and safe.
The staff were very helpful and the food was good. After a long drive it was very welcome. As we have children we asked for a room for four. We were told that we would have a connecting room. When we arrived it turned out to be two separate rooms. We felt the rom were very small and out of the four hotels we were using this holiday, this was the most expensive, with least facilities in the room and by far the smallest bedroom.
Nice hotel. Good position. Excellent food. The only bad aspect: Waitress not able to speak english (or any other language than french) and not keen to help. They need to improve in this otherwise they will loose customers. The rest is great
Good place for stay during long travel across europe
Good food. Interesting old building on the heart of little village. Friendly stuff.
Secure parking is a plus, friendly and helpful staff, a good restaurant and nice buffet breakfast. A little difficult to find but once there a quaint village
Fair price for France, 10 points for the parking, clean, very nice staff, close to the city center and tram.
Very helpful Staff, good breakfast with coffee that was drinkable (most hotels provide poor breakfast coffee), properly heated room, secure car park The approach to the car park along the tram tracks is not ideal
We had comfortable stay.
Low price, good enough location. The first night the heating did not work and it was really cold during the night. We arrived around 9PM and They did not warn us about this, the second day we asked at the reception and they said that indeed they know there is a problem with the heating system. They gave us the keys to a room where we could get a heating radiator to bring to our room.
Silence, airconditioner, staff understanding and speaking english, and smile... And cleaning the parking place!!!! And just one person is the receptionist, waiter, etc.
Pleasent people at the reception There were nothing wrong
It was close to the city centre, it was clean and practical, everything you need if you want to spend your time outdoors. The owner was very helpful and his recommendation for dinner was a hit.
Secure parking (which in my mind is needed). Proximity of old town and Schlumpf museum. Clean. Seemed to be a rough part of town. Noise in the hotel due to tiled flooring. Hard bed.
Very good location close to the centre of town. Secure on site parking and a good breakfast. Surprised to find no shampoo sachets provided, though soap was. We were offered a bottle of shampoo that another guest had left behind though!
Decent sized room and hotel was very near tram stop. Guy on reception was very helpful. Good value. None
Staff very helpful and enthusiastic. Nothing.
The manager and staff of this hotel were very helpful to a non French speaking guest, especially the manager who has command of 7 Eiuropean languages including English. The architetecture of the hotel is of an era long gone by but is being restored. They serv e an exzcellent breakfast. It is located at an easy walk from the station, even for me a 75year old. All in all, it is good value for what you pay. NONE
very helpfull staff, who were very keen to enhance our stay
The hotel is close to most of the places of interest. The hotel is old and rooms does not justify the rates.
Staff where very helpful and taught us some Italian as that was our destination. Fabulous old decor, typical old french hotel, full of characture and within strolling distance to the beautiful town square.
Off road parking in centre of town
Great location, friendly staff. There are several rooms being remodeled. At first I was put in one of these rooms, which were not fit to be inhabited...even though there were other empty rooms. A short discussion with the manager mended matters.
greeat manager good staff and location a little old fashioned but wifi was useful
The proprietor was very friendly. I was worried about what the room would be like based on the hallways etc, but it was really nice and homey and very clean. We really enjoyed our stay there. The see through door on the bathroom. We were traveling with our two daughters, and that made privacy a bit of a problem. Also it was a bit noisy and warm with no fans or AC but this is a common problem in Europe.
Nice people. Quiet. Good breakfast. Good parking. Elevator needs to be fixed.
