The room was the best we have stayed in during our touring holiday and we especially enjoyed the breakfast. The area is beautiful. Pros: The owners were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The house was beautiful, definitely the nicest hotel/B&B we have stayed in. Our room was very spacious and very nicely decorated. There was a terrace in beautiful gardens to sit in and a swimming pool we could have used. They advised us on where to dine and rang to say we were on our way. Breakfast was also very good with my gluten free needs catered for. Definitely worth a stay. Such good value for money.
Cons: Nothing.

Pros: A charming B & B in a quaint, quintessential French village. The room was well appointed and tastefully decorated with modern facilities ie shower et al. The room also boasted a fabulous view of the countryside. Our hosts, Kevin and Fiona were exceptional in their care for their guests meeting every need. We suggest you ask them to cook dinner; great food, stunning outside setting, excellent value for money, but best of all the opportunity to chat and learn about what life is like living in a French village. This accomodation is highly recommended for cyclists, the surrounding area is perfect for cycling. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return one day.

Pros: A beautiful old house with lovely grounds and pool. Off the beaten track but a quiet location in easy distance of local village and excellent restaurant. Great breakfast and charming host, just ideal for our needs.
Cons: Nothing - no complaints at all.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The property has been lovingly restored in a medieval fashion with lots of attention to detail making it a really unique place to stay . Our bedroom was beautiful, very comfortable and quiet. There is a living area above the bedroom with a basic kitchen (microwave), lots of books toys and games. It was nice to sit there with a glass of wine in the evening as it was too cold to sit in the garden in April. Our hostess was extremely kind and helpful and prepared breakfast using many local products.
Cons: We really loved our stay and the only small fault we could find was the delicious coffee at breakfast needed to be a bit hotter. Maybe a thermos jug would help to keep it hot.

Cons: N/a
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The owner was charming and the establishment clean and reasonably well furnished. The hotel is a simple, traditional town centre establishment. There was a very good value "menu du jour" dinner available for €13.90 - which was simple but nutritious and a very welcome change from all too many French hotels lately who only offer dinner to guests at an inflated price.
Cons: If there is a downside, the hotel appears to have originally been some kind of town house and the adaptations do not always work well, with bathrooms being rather awkwardly planted into what were once quite elegant rooms, but the Beausejour is not alone in this and overall we were very happy with our stay. We thought the classic "continental" breakfast was a bit sparse and could have offered a wider choice than just fruit juice, coffee and pastries i.e. croissants and pain au chocolate.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: staff very welcoming Hotel is very central and within walking distance to the town The restaurant was shut but restaurants were recommended nearby. Plenty of private parking, the garden is great if you want to relax after a day visiting

Pros: An authentic old world charm. Characterful. Use of a large and comfortable garden room, and how 'free range' we were allowed to be around the property.
Cons: Daily cleaning of bedrooms.. Some facilities rather old eg bikes , bathrooms
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This is the most beautiful ancient farmhouse style Chateau set in magnificent rural surroundings. The proprietors are charming and made us so welcome. They provided an excellent supper with wine and wholesome breakfast too. Our Medieval style bedroom with giant chimney piece was the star room in our whole 3 weeks stay at several properties in France.
Cons: Nothing not to like at Chateau de Boiscoursier. If I must ... a few more clear roadside signs on the way to this quite remote rural property would help the usually inadequate GPS system but once there, a heavenly experience ..
7.1 Good
Pros: This is a family home in the wilds and i mean wilds, could not find it, was eventually taken to it by very helpful man in his car’ no evening meals so went out to nice town to eat, got totally lost trying to get back, made it eventually, did the same thing the next night but in the dark this time had visions of sleeping in the car, The owners are very nice people and we enjoyed the tranquility of the place, if you want to get away from it all, this is the pla,
Cons: Sogning must be improved to save anxious times, we would go back ( if we could find it) Really liked the owners, nice friendly and helpful peaple,
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful chateau in a beautiful location. The chateau is located in deep countryside and steeped in history. The bedrooms are spacious, filled with lots of charming features. The hosts are very warm, welcoming and helpful, they can’t do enough for you offering lovely breakfast prepared at a time to suit you.
Cons: I struggled with the intermittent WiFi but this is because I had to work during my stay and is a common problem in the area. For emails/ social media during a leisure stay I’m sure it would suffice. Just a look out if you’re staying on a Monday... nothing is open, no cafes, restaurants etc. It’s genuinely a ghost town so make arrangements in advance for your meal even if it’s stocking up at the supermarket earlier in the day. The hosts are so nice I’m sure they’d allow you to prepare basics. It mat not be so quiet in high season however.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Palatial room. Great breakfast. Relaxed and informal yet Grande. Lovely welcome. Lovely outdoor space. Would return. Would recommend

Pros: Karen is a very welcoming and attentive host. On arrival, our bikes were stored safely and we were offered a drink. Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and during our stay, we appreciated many little extras e.g organic toiletries, availability of drinks, lovely breakfast and homemade lemon curd!

Pros: Such a lovely couple who made me feel at home right from the welcoming cold beer. Watched the France semi final with them. Very attentive to their guests and very cyclist friendly filling up my water bottle with High Five sports drink.

Pros: Joanna the hostess is wonderful! Our French speaking is terrible but Joan could speak English very well, and we learnt a lot about French current affairs.

Pros: The host was fantastic, incredibly kind to us and very understanding with our tired (aka grumpy) baby. Breakfast was wonderful!
Cons: In very hot weather lots of flies got into the bedroom - would have been great to have nets on the windows.

Pros: Joan is a very friendly and welcoming host. Her homemade jams and bread are super.
Cons: Unfortunately there was a strong smell of drains in the bathroom which permeated the bedroom. This did affect our overall feeling about the property.

Cons: stairs small for luggage. Room and bed small.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Host of the house, Ian, is a very helpful, considerate and decent man. The house itself got the spirit of the 19th century which makes your stay unforgotable and drives you to kind of fairy tale, especially when you travel with kids. You can also feel a hint of nature regarding the host has a small livestock including baby goats you can feed with milk. The Town is small and pretty.
Cons: The water pressure in tap and shower is very weak so you'd better be patient.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: French, rustic paradise and more. I was pleasantly taken aback by the place, the people and the environment. With picturebook decor and surrounding land, it epitomises a love-filled french farmhouse. The live-in owners, Dianne and Carl, are a warm and friendly retired English couple. They treated me like a close family friend from the outset, with generosity that knew no bounds. Chemyn is a home from home, and so I left missing the place and my hosts in particular. I’m hoping to go back soon.

Cons: No a/c or even a fan in the room. Rather barren immediate surrounds.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was fine and good value. Staff friendly and efficient. The dinner was very good value and cooked well if not inspiring. The service was a little too fast as if the staff wanted to finish the day, and perhaps this was getting to the end of a long season...
Cons: Breakfast was poor for the money paid. Buffet style, but food was looking sad and coffee poor.
7.5 Good
Pros: The site was just within an acceptable distance from the motorway to be a convenient stopover. The facilities were as we expected for the price paid The staff were to hand but there was no feeling of ‘ being watched ‘ We had a garden room which effectively meant we had a ground floor room overlooking the garden. There was access to a shared outdoor verandah but it did not overlook the garden.
Cons: We had a garden room which effectively meant we had a ground floor room overlooking the garden. There was access to a shared outdoor verandah but it did not overlook the garden.
