Cons: The WiFi wasn’t working.
Pros: Stayed with my elderly parents and the staff made us very welcome and helped my parents feel comfortable and settled in their spacious downstairs room which is ideal for disabled access (though there are a couple of steps to the breakfast room, so need to approach from the outside if in a wheelchair). Breakfast was good with some hot options which is unusual for a French hotel of this category. We dined in the restaurant and had an excellent meal both evenings we stayed. Avoided the need to drive elsewhere. Very friendly - definitely recommend.
Cons: Great place to stop over, probably not for any longer than a few days unless you have something specific in the area.
Pros: Breakfast was good Location was as expected.
Cons: We booked a family room, what we got was not good for our needs. Turned out there was a double bed and then a sofa bed that our two daughters had to share.
Pros: the location was perfect for an early take off to the ferry. Also the garden, river and fields are dog friendly which was important.
Cons: Staff were not very attentive, had to go and ask for drinks and get them each time we wanted something.
Pros: The staff were helpful, but left you alone. Had a real family run business feel. I would go back again.
Pros: Diner in the hotel is very good
Cons: Breakfast is basic

Pros: We stayed with friends in this elegant chateau for five nights. We were warmly welcomed by Alex who throughout our stay was a fantastic host. Our bedroom was the double room with terrace on the ground floor it was far larger and better equipped than we imagined. In the description a kitchenette is mentioned but it contained a fridge, freezer, full size cooker, microwave and a large cupboard with cooking utensils. We also had a sofa and small separate dining room. The quality of the furnishings were of extremely high standard and with a large comfy bed in beautifully quiet surroundings we slept very well. Breakfast each morning was an amazing sight, the table was filled with croissants, bread, cakes , fresh fruit, cereals, cold meats, cheese and delicious home made jams. Coffee was very good and replenished frequently. We highly recommend a stay at Domaine de la Chateau.
