Lovely continental breakfast, hot drinks and fruit juice, fresh bread basket with croissants, pain au chocolat and french bread. Jams, fruit and yoghurt too. Meat and cheese also available. Room and bathroom was spotlessly clean with fresh towels daily. Superior room was modern and comfy. Small car park to rear of hotel but plenty of parking on the street outside too. Market day in Boussac is a Thursday, very busy but a definite attraction. So many stalls and the village centre is buzzing.
Cons: Would of liked the hotel bar and restaurant to be open more, especially on a Sunday.
Pros: Charming, helpful hosts, fresh croissants and bread for breakfast, plus the offer of more choice if wanted. Lovely shaded terrace for drinks and eating out. Beautiful chateau in town, well worth a visit.
Cons: Noisy people outside in nearby town square until 3 am, traffic late into the night

Pros: Beautiful location , very quiet and peaceful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a great selection.
Cons: Restaurant food lovely but over priced
Pros: Very good breakfast. The bread and Crosants were lunch very Liked the chickens
Cons: Would have like coffee making facilities in our room
Pros: Nice place and good food
Pros: We stayed at this hotel previously. The location is lovely, the area quiet, and the building is very nice. Dinner in the restaurant is excellent.
Cons: The staff this time seemed rather indifferent. We had to ask for toiletries to be replaced, many items were missing off the wine list, and there was often no one on the desk. Even though it was high season, the place felt as though it was semi-deserted. Breakfast was OK, but rather sparse for a hotel of this standard. This time, it was frankly not worth the money.
Pros: The morning breakfast was good
Cons: For an out of season stay, the room rate was high compared to the accommodation offered. I took the evening meal - the steak was good, but there was nothing else on the plate; very few compliments!
Pros: Very good facilities, pool room, swimming pool, golf.
Cons: Room rather small.
Pros: Great location, off the beaten track with a pool, which was a great bonus in the hot weather. Reasonably priced with the menu being simple but excellent quality and very well presented. Staff all attentive and breakfast was good
Cons: Could do with a little general updating of the rooms and bathrooms and some air conditioning would have been a bonus. The towels were ragged and could do with being replaced. The ‘town’ is very small and nothing was open to get food or drinks when we arrived.
Pros: Location was great , food was fantastic, owner was very friendly and attentive.
Cons: One of the waiting staff was quite rude , the bed room was beautiful but was spoilt by it cleanliness all it needed was a good polish.
Pros: Delightful country house hotel in quiet rural Bonnat, this was a very pleasant surprise. Decor was perhaps a little tired but the bed was comfortable, the room well appointed, with a lovely view across the terrace and well kept garden to the countryside beyond. Good dinner and excellent breakfast. Very good value. A great place for a holiday and I wish we could have stayed longer but we will return!
Cons: No particular complaints
Pros: The conviviality of the host was delightful as was the shared meal with other travellers. The food Was plentiful and home cooked-the wine was good quality and added to our enjoyment!
Pros: In the middle of nowhere nice and quite and relaxing
Pros: Excellent host, excellent room, excellent evening meal with wine with host and 3 other guests at v.good price for France.Great parking for car. great way to see proper french hospitality
Cons: Nothing, except stairs to bedroom steep and narrow
Pros: The dinner was good eating with the owner and chef
Pros: The host was so nice and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived! The guest rooms were quirky and reflected the artistic personality of the host... I appreciated the proper french breakfast and the host talking me through the various locations of the cheeses he offered ... a lovely stay!!
Cons: I like white bed linen... I’ve never been a fan of coloured sheets and pillow cases which these were, but maybe that’s just my problem? The village was sleepy (which is no bad ting) and we struggled to find something to eat on the evening we arrived.
Cons: sanitary: materials loosening food: basic only one glass for apero, 2 kinds of wine, water onedish for firts course, main meal
Pros: The owner was lovely and helpful, we arrived late after a delay at 11pm and he came out to the road to help us park and welcome us in
Cons: Our room was above the kitchen and we could hear talking until late.
Pros: The property was located on a smallholding (complete with animals) even though it was within very easy walking distance to the centre of town. Serge was an excellent host and a very interesting artist.

Pros: Comfy bed. Good location for travelling. Good air conditioning. Quiet room. Good shower.
Cons: Expensive for what was offered. Room was small and was at least 25% more than similar rooms experienced elsewhere in France. Wine and food were expensive. Tired bathroom. Poor shower screen. No air conditioning in the dining room. Reception smelt musty!
Pros: The breakfast on offer was terrinble. We cancelled pur breakfast order.
Cons: The Shower system is terrible. There should be a proper fixed shower head, the curtain leaked water all over the floor.
Pros: Easy to find. Lovely outside space but across the road. Very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast buffet
Cons: Food a little pricey and very rich. Also wine a bit pricey
Pros: Meals were good, rooms comfortable but small

Cons: I arrived having booked two nights I was met by the owners daughter she showed me to house we went into a lounge and to a ground floor room which was damp and exactly clean and nothing the photos.ahe then took me to owners her mother could not be bothered to get off her sofa to talk to me.she said that her husband would be back soon when I went back to the room was immediately followed by the daughter who asked me for 40 euros I offered my debit card she said no cash I she did not give me a reciept but just left by this time I was very annoyed at my treatment so left and stayed else I have never been treated as poorly as I was I feel really let I have already booked more hotels with booking.com as I continue my trip round france and Belgium

Pros: We wanted a nigh on a farm and it was perfect. Lots of animals an atmosphere. The proprietor was friendly and helpful. He brought us breakfast at the exact time we asked and had clearly made an effort the preparation.
Cons: The bedrooms need some upgrading.
Pros: Quiet area in the middle of nowhere.Exactly what we were looking for a break from driving
Cons: We were not aware someone else was staying in same cottage so that surprised us during the night
Pros: Lovely location. Typical rural French. Extremely hospitable hosts. A real "find". Absolutely loved it.
Pros: The location is relatively remote and therefore peaceful. The host was friendly, helpful and accommodating. We booked dinner and it was tasty food all from the local area, with wine. There were coffee/tea making facilities also a fridge. The room had a hair dryer and if needed even an iron and ironing board were available. The animals all around were great my grandchildren would have loved it, we did. This is quite a quirky property but general consensus was we loved it.
Cons: If the entrance room of the cottage was tidied and spruced up it would create a much better impression on arrival.
