Good location, friendly staff. Our dogs also had good time with us.
We liked the location - very sentral in the city The staff in the reception was not professional enough in such a hotel
food was great and service in restruant. Room out dated, old and small
Great staff- anything we asked for we got. Room decor and linen/towels a bit sad
Could not cross the room without climbing over beds (family room with 4 beds).
Liked the free bowling 17:00-18:00 and the fact that there was a swimming pool, and the free internet, that was sometimes available. The shower head - we had to hold it over our heads ourselves as the fixture was broken and it seems they have stopped repairing the hotel. We got an extra unadvertised surprise that did not intend to clean the room for our entire one week stay, no emptying of garbage or new towels. We were told that this was a feature of our DTF Travel package which made it cheaper, but this was not in the advertising and not welcome. The swimming hall was really run down and rust is peeling along pipes at the wall, fungus in the shower ceiling. In the advertising it is said to be close to Legoland (try 45 minutes on high speed motorway). It is not close to anything, apart from the local city of three shops and of no interest to anyone, Brædstrup.
Location, Design breakfast management seems to be run by working students - no professionalism
Very nice restaurant service, clean and nice room with individual air conditioning adjustment. I'd replace legacy CRT TV "Finlux" with a new one (LCD) but this is not of high importance, certainly...
The staff was not friendly and helpful - cheated on us for the price upon our arrival!
I do not know how to count the good points See summary of good points
OK hotel, nice location with short distance to city centrum. Breakfast was ok, but noticed a few bugs on table. Not so delicate!
Location, quality and rooms Hotel Bar, Staffing of reception and Hotel Bar
Good breakfast. No good acoustic isolation between adiacent rooms. I could hear everything from my neighbours...
Staff in reception and dining were very helpful, smiling and polite. A bar separate from the dining room would be nice Dinner did take a long time to be served, but the dining room was quite busy
This was my third visit and the staff are always helpful. There is a need for more plugs so that business travellers can work in their rooms.
Bar and restaurant in-house
Price was reasonable for Denmark.
beautiful suroundings noise trainstation
the wonderful woman at the front desk, so very exelent the saturday night live band made it impossible to sleep
The otel is a hotel which has a history. But I do not know why but I could not feel myself as a quest rather someone who should pay for the room. The bathroom is adopted into the room later. So I think there is a little sanitary problem that I could not see. It was smelling a bit filthy.
Great restaurant in connection with the hotel. Best hotel I've stayed at in this price category. Value for money.
Very good breakfast and friendly staff. We were put in an annex adjacent to an entertainement room and all was well until after midnight when the music etc continued. The manager told us that it went on until 1:30 so we asked for an alternative room, which we were given, hence no more noise until 1:30 when the revellers moved outside to drink, smoke and 'chat' until 3 in the morning. We could not be bothered to move again so had about 4 hours sleep and woke up tired, angry and with a long journey ahead and hence didn't enjoy the very good buffet breakfast. The sauna rooms have no heaters, the pool temperature was about 20 with the air at 35.
We used this hotel during our visit to the Medieval Ages Festival and it was just perfect. We used our own car, and it took us about 5 minutes from the hotel to the city center. The staff was very nice and the hotel was good! I liked the idea of serving organic food in the breakfast menu, but I wish there was more organic food. Could hear a little noise/music at night, but it got quiet again at about 1 AM.
location, surroundings, room too small, noisy ventilation system,
Ideal forme since 5 minutes away from place I had to go.Old building really nice and traditional, rooms in the new wing 70s scandinavian style but clean, spacious and comfortable.Good typical restaurant.Breakfast assorted. Prices are a bit high compared to europe's general but in line with Denmark pretty high fares as to hotels and restaurants.
Pleasant staff. Sound cuisine. Attractive public areas.
Nice big room and a nice view Poor breakfast
Central and light to find It is more like a three star hotel. Very small shower facility.
Central place in the town and view of the lake.
Very central location, pleasant nice service (hotel staff) The internet is not for free; breakfast contains no hot offers (no omlet, sausauges) but just sandwitches.
Location and breakfast The shower was dirty and had hairs all in it. Noise could be heard from other rooms
I liket the restaurant Underground and their food. Their old-fashoned internet acsess
Even though we had a room in an newish extension we could still see the lake Difficult to find for strangers in town due to lack of signposting from any main roads in town or approaching roads
Bed ok, Nice staff, good breakfast Could not get Internet working
To be honest, the only important reason for me to stay in this hotel was the location to my customer. Otherwise I will never chose this hotel again. The tiny hotel room was quite old and rundown. The mattress was more lika a hammock. Internet access is very expensive. And at the end I was charged an additional 3% fee for paying with a credit card!
The staff were polite, helpful, welcoming and professional, as well as speaking excellent English.
The hotel is full of character. We've stayed there three times now but we were disappointed this time. The staff were pleasant enough and but could have been more helpful. Our child was ill during the night; the receptionist gave us a long list of doctors' telephone numbers to try but did not offer any to ring on our behalf. Fortunately my wife speaks Danish but the receptionist did not know that. I have eaten there twice in the last month and both times my meal was virtually inedible, over-cooked and over-salted.
The hotel is charging "a´credit card fee" on top of the price agreed with the booking.com !
nice room, athmosphere, good breakfast old bathroom
Lovely big hotel room and bathroom. Comfortable bed and nice breakfast buffet. Our room was on alleyway next to 2 bars. It was very, very noisy and made it difficult to sleep.
Old-world ambience, location in centre of town (but this was also a problem!), excellent breakfasts. Location right next door to very noisy cafe/nightclub - loud music until 4am every morning. Very hot - no airconditioning, no ceiling fan (and we only found out on the last night of our stay that we could borrow a (very inefficient) fan). Lift was miles away from the reception area, up two flights of stairs. We weren't told about an alternative easier access at ground floor level. Although information book promised coffee/tea in lobby, staff at front desk knew nothing about this.
Staff always helpful and friendly, beautiful area, lovely manor house, felt pampered
Excellent Hotel with lots of character and history, set in extensive gardens with lake, quiet and peaceful surroundings, relaxing environment, gourmet food/wine and great service
We liked the well come, the staff´s assistance and pleasant manners. Although lunch is not what is served at the manor, excellent lundh was "whipped" up for us, and was served with smiles. Room 25 was simply romantic and well furnished. Our thanks to the lady at the reception, the waitresses on saturday mid day and sunday breakfast time. Room 38 was too small for 2 people and with dull furnishing
I liked the friendliness of staff members and the quality of both breakfast and dinner. Mattress a bit too soft and the bathroom does not match the quality of the rooms enterior. The hallway had a stale smell and would better be vented more often.
Modern and comfortable hotel with swimming pool, fitness and snookers located close to the city (yet need to use a car) in the green
we needed somewhere cheap and clean to sleep whilst visiting friends and it ticked that box Although the staff were courteous they were not particularly helpful for instance we mistook the lobby area as the breakfast area whereas in fact it was set up for a conference breakfast which we helped ourselves to.There was another restaurant for breakfast but none of the staff who walked by explained this to us. Although our beds were made the bathroom wasn't cleaned and the toilet could have been cleaner. We also noticed that children were allowed to run up and down the corridors from 7.30 am in the morning which I understand isn't the fault of the hotel but soundproofing could be better
The facilities were better than I expected, the food was also better and the staff were helpful Could be nearer to the centre/old part of the town
We had a ground floor room no airconditioning and a window that could be opened from outside.
Location of hotel is about 3 km away from E45. It's very convenient if you need a stop for one night on the way to or from ferry. It's quiet, clean and childfriendly. Our room was on the ground floor so we parked our car just in front of the door. Reception and breakfast are open at 8 a.m. We had a ferry to catch and felt that we were squeezed in time. Windows in the room were not secured and we did not dare to have them open during the night. We did not sleep well then.
The hotel stuff was friendly. The price was reasonable. With children, it is a very good hotel. The room was very basic.
nice hotel, good food
The first thing we did after seeing the accommodation was to extend our stay. Our hut was clean and spacious with good cooking facilities; an excellent power shower and very comfortable beds. The roof extended over a large porch so that we could eat or sit outside even if it rained. At night it was incredibly quiet allowing some very good nights' sleep. The lake was beautiful and tranquil. Aarhus was only a short drive away for shopping. Good wireless Internet access in the main building. It would have been nice to have Internet access in the hut, but the walk to the main building was not difficult.
