The property also makes bread on-site and cooks home-style dishes upon request. Guests will have the opportunity to visit the Sturdza Castle and the Orthodox Monastery of Annunciation. Pros: The house are around the church, It's a religion area, the whole place seemed running by priest. The room is no good, but have very good and natural fresh breakfast.
Cons: The door of each room cannot be locked. Bath room is no good. The whole area seemed under refurbishing.
Pros: Beautiful location, near the castle in a park. For us a great sleep-over travelling from Bukovina to Bucarest. Very quiet at night (almost no other visitors when we were there) except for some dogs barking. We had a two bedroom combination on ground floor which was relatively cool. Since there were no others, the restaurant opened up just for us, for breakfast as well as for dinner; having a private breakfast/dinner outside on the terrace with view on the castle was absolutely great.
Cons: Accommodation is basic, as expected. Small ants in rooms and in bed at night. Hot water takes a few minutes, as we were informed of before. No airco, but mosquito net on windows so they could stay open all night. Daytime construction work going on on next doir building when we were there.
Pros: - the breakfast was unusual but nice - the castle next to the place looks nice and the surrounding park is probably nice for walks, however we did not go for any
Cons: - when we booked this place there were not many reviews around and none suggested in any way that this is a religious retreat place, so we we got a bit of a surprise - there is intentionally no mobile phone reception on site and no wifi, also no tv and the restaurant on site does not serve food in the evenings - nor is there any restaurant or shop in the village open evenings, so we had to go to Roman for evening food (we selected the #1 place on Trip Advisor which also was a big disappointment) - the breakfast in the morning was also a bit of a surprise as due to fasting (everything seems to be run by an orthodox monastery) we could not get milk, butter and so on. - the room was clean but very basic and dated and blinds were not working and there were plumbing issues
Pros: Located right next to the Sturdza castle, on a beautiful and idyllic estate.
Cons: The bathroom is painfully small. There were a few cobwebs in the corners.
Pros: Gorgeous location, the castle, facilities, cleanliness, nice guide for the castle
Cons: Breakfast could be improved, few restaurants nearby
