Beautiful scenery. Unclear routes in the park.
Beautifull place, nice and quiet. Room spacious, very friendly and helpfull staff .Good spa faclilities, lovely outside pool and park, convenient parking. no refrigerator in the room, no complimentairy coffee and tea in the room
It was very nice hotel and service. Spa was also nice to relax. Excellent hotel. The bed was too hard for me.
The site opposite of the Kurpark was beautiful. The wellnessprogram was good. The breakfast was abundant. Our rooms had a sunny balcony. The pillows were not good. The beds were good but stood not quite horizontal, the head-end was a couple of centimeters below the foot-end.
Clean, secluded location, and everythink was working properly
pool was great and love the slippers and dressing-gowns, it was lovely to sit out on the balcony with a bottle of wine under a cozy fleece cover, i would deffinately stay here again.
swimming pool and sauna, size and cleanliness of rooms, location, parking, restaurant had good food smoking in bar where we ordered lunch
This hotel is always nice.
The room with sitting facilities i.e. sofa, armchair, desk. Also the balcony. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the staff very discreet, we never had the feeling of being hurried on.Finally the expanse of the hotel and the wellness centre, the opening hours thereof being particularly impressive. Can't think of anything
Acceptable room, nice breakfast. Located in old section of town. Wi-fi did not work in our section of hotel.
Enjoying the peace and quiet and walking in the surrounding woodland. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant is excellent nothing at all
Very quiet, the swimming pool, friendly staff Bathroom very narrow
Helpful, very friendly owners and staff. Excellent for bike riders Sluggish service in the restaurant (although they apologised), could have changed the table cloth
A pleasant hotel in an historic town. Used by cyclists travelling down Weser Valley as well as other tourists. Very good breakfast. Staff speak English and helpful.
Service and welcoming of staff, absolutely spotless through out.Breakfast & Dinner excellent!!! Great variety of food and plenty of it ,wines good prices. Wi Fi worked!! Chef came out each meal and had a chat!!! Absolutely nothing
Family run hotel in a very quiet location even though it is in town central. Good selection buffet breakfast and eggs cooked fresh to order. Room was spacious and comfortable. Lovely ambience. Friendly staff. I would stay there again.
The hotel offers traditional hospitality and the staff could not be more welcoming or helpful. The location is very quiet although it is in the centre of the village, where not a lot happens but there is a good variety of places to eat and it is a good base for exploring the area. The hotel is described as "recently renovated" and I don't think it qualifies as "recent"; nevertheless the breakfast room and the lounge are attractive, comfortable rooms. Unfortunately I found my mattress too soft to get a properly refreshing night's sleep.
Everything was really great! I was surprised by the size of the room and the extremely friendly staff!
Good beeds and a lovely balcon. Quit and relaxing. Very good breakfast and easy to got very delicius food in the same building. It's very nice lady who had the hotel, and it's a family hotel. i need a ashtree on the terace. book a smoker room. But it's ok to smoke only at the balkon/terrace.
Superb family Hotel: Ask for a room with a balcony for sunbathing.
quite location wifi not available in bedrooms as advertised
The magic of staying in a castle was wonderful for the children. We wish, however, there had been more information available in English on the history of the castle.
I was there 20 years ago and fell in love with the place and I still love it. Sleeping in an old castle is magic. Trendelburg has so much atmosphere and history it was like coming to a museum. Over all it´s charming.
Location, food, service, nature Long way to carry your bags
Very original design of the fairy tale castle of 'Rapunzel' with good conservation of the architecture. Give us a feeling like prince and princess. Both the adults and the kids love it very much. Excellent food and romantic atmosphere. Excellent hospitality by the hotel operator who also speak fluent English, and they explained in detail the history and stories of the castle which added much interest to our stay. Free parking. Good location along the Germany Fairy Tale Road. Have spiders in the room and restaurant but this is expected in this natural context. Perfect if they provide toothbrush and toothpaste.
It was unique to stay in a castle. The restaurant was wonderful, great view and a very loving kitty enjoys greeting you out on the patio. The bed was a little hard but we found hard beds at several other locations on this trip.
The setting is beautiful. It's a bit of a trek to get there, but worth it. It's not just a cool old castle on the exterior, the interior is terrific with lots of old artifacts, wood beams, a great staircase. The dining room has a wonderful view over the valley and if you're lucky enough to be there when it's warm (i wasn't) there is a beautiful patio. I want to go back! The owners are very nice. and the food was excellent.
The atmosphere was fantastic. The small town it was in was adorable, and there was a great walk through a river-side park. I would definitely stay here again instead of the nearby Sababurg Castle, which I did not stay at, but seemed to be pretty isolated. No TV in the room, but with the view from my window, I really didn't need it.
Nice hotel and friendly staffs
Loved our room and the view. The restaurant was very good and worth the price. No real complaints, but room could use a luggage rack.
Everything worked out perfectly without complications. 4 light bulbs in the room and bathroom were missing or defective.
We liked the good atmosphere in the hotel and the hospitality by the staff. We came with 4 children. Had a feeling that other guests in the hotel were elderly people and that we had to wisper in the corridors...
