Friendly staff, the real German food, value for money, only a few kilometers from the a5 autobahn
The room was equipped with everything you need for a short stay: towels, hair-dryer, soap, TV, comfortable bed and clean and new bathroom with big shower. Breakfast was also great and delicious. All fit the purpose.
The hotel is very cosy and comfortable, with family atmosphere. People were welcoming and very obliging. Our family room was very large, nice furnished and very clean. Small snack (fruit, chocolate bar and water) was on the table in the room. Although we arrived late in the evening we had an excellent dinner in the restaurant - a lot of meals and local specialities available in the menu. Really lovely hotel!
Excelent!! Very nice room. Quiet - we were on the inside court side. Breakfast was very well prepared and fesh bread. The host lady was exceptionally friendly! A very comforable and affordable B & B! Real German Family setting and hospitality! We'd definitely stay there again! nothing needs to be changed.
Nice, clean and large rooms. Very good breakfast buffet. Free parking, and good access to the A5 motorway. Website did not say anything about "Ruhetag", restaurant was closed the Tuesday evening we arrived. Had to go to the only nearby restaurant with expensive menu and the beer was not cold.
This is a clean, nice hotel, Rooms are quiet and clean and personnel is very friendly. This is a cost efficient place, with good breakfast included - all you need. Restaurant serves a wide variety of german style and very tasty food. Some limitations if you do not speak German.
The whole atmosphere and the welcoming look. We felt: yes!!! How lovely. The room had absolutely everything, nice homey look. The resturant was very typical German family operated style. The Lady owner checked on the dinner guests to see if everything was satisfactory. The whole staff, all included, was great.
Good tradeoff quality/price, close to highway exit (Friburg). Clean and quiet room. Hotel staff kindly servant. Hotel staff can only speak little english.
The food was very good. Beautiful decorations in the restaurant. Nice breakfast buffet. They went out of their way to help us with some special needs. The reception to the hotel was not good. It was their day off. Even though I had a written confirmation of our reservation, I didn't think the lady on duty was ever going to let us in - not friendly. When she finally did she gave us a room on the top floor (farthest away). I had specifically written them for a room with the least stairs (medical reasons). They have no elevator so this was an unnecessary difficulty (and more dangerous) for us for the entire time. I would have tried to changed the room but as soon as she checked us in she quickly disappeared again and we never did see her again. Also, -- If you are going to Colmar, France make sure they are not working on the bridge or be prepared to expect long wait to cross over i
Calm and friendly Yes, they should write that the restaurant was closed at thursdays
Convenient location for us. Excellent food. Pillows! Stiff necks for both of us!
Excellent breakfast with a large choice of real teas. The restaurant was also first rate and good value for money. Fine views of area from Hotel. There is a stiff climb to reach the hotel but even by bike it was worth it.
Liked very much the breakfast buffet and the restaurant terace with the most beuautiful view on Schwarzwald mountains. Also, the location on the hill, in the historical centre of the city was great. Nothing remarkable bad.
Good place, personal, food, price. The shower without wanne is not usefull.
Nice and cosy hotel, in small country town. Top quality restaurant, that can be a bit busy with groups.
The staff was friendly and the resturant was absolutly great.
very cozy and very nice surroundings. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Excellent restaurant we would suggest to have anti-slip in the shower cabine
Idyllic setting overlooking Kaisertuhl and Tuniberg. Comfortable 'cloister' room and delicious breakfast especially the Bircher muesli. We were cycle touring and there was a locked store for our bikes complete with tools and foot pump.
