Pros: The hotel and room looked so nice that we thought it was brand new! What a surprise to hear it is 20 years old. Spotless. Excellent decor. Superb owners and staff.
Pros: Very Nice Place lovely owner. Large rooms and very clean. The breakfast was nice. High value for the money.
Cons: Very difficult to get to due to road closures in the area. Not something the hotel has any control over.
Pros: Very big and clean room and interesting way to enter the property/room at any time of the day/night with a keycode provided by the owner. Very comfortable bed too.
Cons: Because of roadworks in the street the property was very hard to find, especially while we arrived in the dark around midnight, but that has of course nothing to do with the property itself! Still, a more accurate description by the owner would have helped.
Pros: Everything was extra clean, the communal kitchen well equipped with everything we needed. The place was full but totally quiet. We managed to have a good rest after (and before) driving for about 1,000 kilometres.
Cons: The way you get keys (you type in a code number) seemed complicated but in fact wasn't. Still, anticipating that in order to get to our room we were going to communicate with a machine not people after the whole day of driving was a bit unpleasant. In the end the cleaner and the owner were on the premises when we arrived, so it was much better than we'd expected.
Pros: Arrive any time. Code to unlock door key. No breakfast but 2 kitchens available for eating anytime. Grocery shop 50 meters away. Bakery and 2 eating places in vicinity (holidays when we visited). Free coffee and tea. Cold beer (self service) for modest price. Very friendly owner.
Pros: Nice location, good rooms, love the shower. Def visit the restaurant next door.
Pros: Very nice location. Perfect equiped kitchen and selfservice bar by entrance for late travellers. Very clean, spacy parking. In neighbourhood bakery, groccery and restaurant. Nice staff. Wonderful landscape. We regret to be there only 1 night.
Pros: Nice shower. Reasonable price for a stoppover on a long journey
Cons: Instructions for arrival were sent in German. Not having internet at the time, I couldn’t translate. I called the contact number with no luck. Finally i was able to get somebody to translate so I could get in. Then a member of staff approached me to inform me theres no breakfast, that they stopped this year. I booked thinking it was bed and breakfast. I was told i could get breakfast in the bakery next door. Typically i had no cash and the bakery didnt accept cards. So i had to continue my long drive with something inadequate from a small supermarket over the road.

Pros: Staff was super friendly and flexible, especially the owner. The Bed & Breakfast has lots of motorcycle memorabilia inside. Very personable and lots of laughter. Felt like home. The area is beautiful and everyone in the community was super friendly. Plenty of good food and the owners love meeting new people. I wish I had spent more time in the area and explored more.
Pros: The reception of the host was exemplary as well as the service given. Breakfast was good with a selection of meats, cheese an bread. Felt like staying with friends.
Cons: The window of our room was fairly small and the ventilation not that great during the heat wave but you can't have it all.
Pros: Very nice owner / staff! Very attentive and always with good recommendations about what to do.
Cons: Room was very warm, difficulties sleeping.
Pros: The B&B located in a very nice and quite area. Very spacious room, nice and clean, quite convenient for families.
Pros: The peaceful location is perfect when travelling between Berlin and Copenhagen the long way round. The breakfast was well thought out and healthy and fresh. The staff were especially charming and attentive. The coffee was better than most four star hotels.
Pros: I felt with my friends like we were at home! The host is really kind and friendly - the best host I have ever met. We got one of the most warm welcome! Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. I Definitely recommend staying at this B&B. You can even buy there beers for cheap!
Pros: Friendly staff and personal contact with owner
Pros: Late reception was nice. A quiet place. Had good breakfast.
Cons: The bathroom is not at an ideal place. Lights do not switch on in time at all places.
Pros: We were 5 people and slept there for one night. Room was big, nice beds, nice room, nice bathroom. Breakfast very good. Beer in refridgerator for sale. WiFi very good. Nice area outside. Brilliant B&B. Absolutely recomendable. Not far from A7.
Cons: Everything was perfect!

Pros: Location is nice.
Cons: The dinner was not a good experience; waiting time was too long, and the food was not as expected.
Pros: Evening meal, set with three choices and you could buy a wine package, including red, white, rose and sparkling, and help yourself. It was all delicious. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. We looked out on the lawn, complete with bunnies. We had a small patio with table and chairs. There was a coffee machine centrally, and capsules and tea bags in the room. There was a large bottle of water in the room, free of charge. Ample parking, again free of charge Beautiful lake , and if so inclined, you can swim there before/after using the spa facilities
Cons: Would have been nice with a fridge, a safe and maybe even more coffee capsules and tea bags.... There is nothing we did not like
Pros: The surroundings. Nice breakfast, service minded staff.
Cons: Slow WiFi and almost no signal for the 4G system. The room we had was equipped with poor lighting.
Pros: Very convenient for our break on our journey. Excellent dinner and very accommodating staff for late arrival. Plus 3 Tesla destination chargers. Great experience!

Pros: Friendly staff and excellent services.
Pros: Perfect location, super comfortable beds, friendly people, outstanding breakfast!
Pros: The location, the calm, the view. The buffet for the diner.
Cons: Confort of the beds and pillows could be better.
Pros: Breakfast was acceptable and morning staff was very friendly. Surroundings was amazing. The darkness in the evening was also surprising, no towns or cities polluted the darkness with lights. The view from the tower and Otto Bismarck statue was something special.
Cons: Check in was far from acceptable. We called and announced late arrival, which was accepted. We arrived 10-15 minutes after 8pm. Ordinary staff in reception was not available so restaurang staff helped. Maybe it was my lack of German language skills or something but person was close to rude. At one point I believed we where not going to have our room. Eventually one younger person from the kitchen came and help with translation. Since we called it could have been prepared better.
Pros: Great place in the middle of nowhere with great views.
Cons: Staff could be a little more friendly at the restaurant. cleaning of the rooms next door was very noisy, no chance to enjoy the silence of nature when you wake up
Pros: Location was wonderful
Cons: Breakfast was absolutely terrible
Pros: A quiet location with an outstanding view! Nice and friendly staff.
Cons: The beds were of different qualities - mine was good but the one of my husband was too soft - he woke up with a headache. It's pity that the staff's English wasn't sufficient to communicate with.
Pros: All the meals were very good, the staff were very friendly and helpful to an old woman. I hope to come back
Pros: Architecture. Closeness to nature. Tranquility.

Featured amenities include complimentary newspapers in the lobby, dry cleaning/laundry services, and laundry facilities. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Great breakfast, local produce, friendly staff and super clean comfortable and spacious rooms in a quiet location
Pros: The surroundings
Cons: WIFI was very slow and some of the time out of function totally.
Pros: Breakfast was good and varied with a large selection of natural products. The owner of the place was very friendly and helpful. The rooms themselves were spacious and comfortable.
Cons: For me it was OK to go to the nearest village to find a restaurant with a playground close to the shore :), but some people might react to the fact that the hotel is situated in a remote area in the countryside and you thus will need to use the car if you want to find more facilities
Pros: The room was very nice and kid friendly. The hosts were very kind and helpfully. The local honey was so good we bought 4 bottles :-)
Cons: The bed was a bit "squeaky"

Pros: Vey good food and huge portions for dinner and nice breakfast. New good rooms.
Cons: Hotel much focused on eldery people
Cons: The fact that the Hotel was quite expensive, and there was no Mini Bar or Coffee and Tea making facilities in the room. This tended to down grade our estimate of what otherwise was a very pleasant stay.
Pros: Quite a basic hotel but comfortable and clean. Free parking on site was a bonus. I guess it’s very similar to a Premier Inn if you know the brand. Staff were lovely but did not speak English well, but then why should they ? Breakfast was very good too, selection of continental and cooked.
Cons: Nothing really.
Pros: We have had a fantastic weekend with a lot of really great food, good wine, nice rooms, great service, in a lovely hotel with a great atmosphere .. everything has just been great. We were celebrating our silver wedding together with our sons, a daughter in law and both our moms. The hotel knew about the silver wedding, but we had asked for nothing special in that occasion. Anyway - the hotel upgraded our room and had set a beautiful table for our supper - a lovely surprise. Thank you so much.

Cons: Host was super friendly and they did welcome us and our dogs to lovely apartment
Cons: Sadly, the room was not as clean as expected.

With a stay at Hotel & Restaurant Schlei Liesel in Gueby, you'll be on a river, within a 10-minute drive of Hedeby Viking Museum and Bäckerstrand. Featured amenities include a computer station, multilingual staff, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
Pros: Arrived rather late and at first didnt think it was what i had seen on the site and when i asked when the kitchen was closing i was answered rather straight forwardly "kitchen closes in 20 minutes". We went up to the room thinking that we would be thrown something on the plate since we were late. Quickly refreshed and went to dine. There got 2 menus in german and since niether of us understood german we opted for a scnitzel and a rump steak. Well the scnitzel was good but the rump steak was 5 star quality. The dinner really surprised us and really left a positive note (maybe the waitress was a bit tired when we arrived, can happen). Slept well in clean room and comfy bed. breakfast was at same level of the dinner. Reccommend this place to everyone even if a bit out in the country side- Thank you for your hospitallity- Mario and Jorun
Pros: The bathroom was amazing. Very clean and the shower was very nice. The bathroom had showergel/shampoo which had a nice neutral scent and it was ecological. The breakfast was amazing.
Cons: Nothing. When in the room with the window open you could hear the street. Sounds of cars passing by. We had no problem with that.
Pros: Very good food aswell.
Pros: Very friendly staff that made sure I was welcome and adjusted the restaurant menu. Great regional food at restaurant along with regular choices of food. The hotel was exceptionally clean. The room had a small kitchen for longer stays. I will return.
Pros: The room was very modern and comfortable.
Cons: The advert stated English speaking staff but we didn’t find any that did on the phone or in person. I accept I was in Germany but that did sway me slightly towards the hotel. They did reply in English to an email to be fair but it was a stretch to claim English speaking staff. Also, and maybe this is an English thing, tea, coffee and a kettle in the room would have been nice. As I say I accept that may be a cultural difference and I’m all for embracing national culture.

Pros: The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast
Cons: The door was closed, we had to wait a little before checking in
Pros: The localisation near the highway A good price
Cons: The shower insides the room
Pros: Staff very polite and friendly. Restaurant was nice and very cheap.
Pros: Very good possibility for late arrival. Good room, good bed, easy to find.
Cons: A little disorganized. Could not find key at first, room next to renovation works, but quite even though. Breakfast was on bill When not ordered.
Pros: Very very nice hotel, welcoming, fragrant, clean and tidy. Excellent breakfast and good price for everything. Friendly and kind staff. Absolutely recommended!
Pros: It was very much a bar and restaurant used by the locals as just one other small restaurant in the village. Quite old fashioned guessing it has not changed since the 1970s
Cons: Wifi not working. As a result unable to pay by card had to go out to get cash. Phone network single poor also, mainly had Edge not 3G, unable to get work done. Very dated and well used furnishings. Floor covering in the bathroom patched up, shower rail held by bits of string. Not such a very relaxing place to stay after a long day.
