Staff were very good and attentive Overall, hotel was fine but felt a bit "dated"
Quiet with plenty of staff on hand, most of whom made you welcome. Bar closed at odd times, like 2/30 on Friday afternoon, just as I arrived and wanted to relax with the paper and a glass of wine.
The warmth and friendliness Not really
Wonderful hotel great food and service.
Fantastic room - huge and luxurious.
The long time at the check out in the morning. A four star hotel should have teo reception staff at this busy period. Also it is a long way to the bottom car park with your luggage.
it was quiet and convenient car parking
Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable and the staff on the reception desk were extremely efficient. I wish we had stayed longer!!
Decent sized bedroom and excellent bathroom N/A
Comfortable. Friendly The Restaurant could be better both for Breakfast and Dinner. The Orangery/Bar/Lounge menu and food were better and better value
We paid £5 each for breakfast which was bread & milk in a fridge & a table set with cereal, flora & jam. No staff there at all,we were expected to self cater! Very poor value.
It was cheap. Shower and bath looked nice, but didn't use. Staff seemed hyper - as if on something, but was overly friendly. Slept over after function up road. No one avail when left. Mattress coils jutted into ribs, wasn't comfortable.
The rooms are clean. Everything is working properly. On arrival there was no staff present. We had to phone in order to know which room was ours. The front door is open day and night without any staff present. The breakfast room is a small kitchen.
The stay was overnight as I was doing a delivery to hastings at 8.00am the following morning so very convenient.
place was clean and tidy ,parking was ok nice and quiet
Pam was very friendly and helpful Shared showerroom was dirty with wet towels and mats all over the floor.
It was an adequate room for an overnight stay just to get some sleep and come and go as you please It wasnt an ensuite (as booked and advertised) we shared the bathroom with another visitor. The shower was either scolding or cool, no in between. The hotelier only saw us in, and took a while to find out who we were and where they were going to put us, taking calls simultaneously, at no other point during the stay did we see any staff, which was fine but we couldnt check out. The room was so cold that I slept with a dressing gown on. And I beleive the annex we were placed in was used as a common area for staff/hoteliers/long stay visitors as there was washing up at the sink and breakfast cereals on display, this was a bit of a strange set up but didnt cause any problems.
Nothing, never again No house no in address so hard to find, and Do not answer phone, no one in house, owners do not live there, house open day and night, room filthy, shower had note on it not to use, two beds in room one had been slept in and not changed, not sure about other one, very unpleasant experience
Friendly helpful staff. Self service breakfast.
Nice to have a double room, despite only paying for a single! Shower in the room was good, tv and coffee facilities also good. The closest bathroom was locked so it was a bit of a walk to the other one. Plus, the toilet paper dispenser was blocked so didn't work.
Friendly staff Shower needed repairing
Breakfast was lovely and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We booked a triple room expecting a double and a single bed, we got a double and a camp bed. It was a little small for an adult.
Friendly staff & helpfull staff
Efficient lift. Pleasant staff. Comfortable bed. Clean. Difficult to use toilet flush. Sink stopper unhygenic system. Table or shelf needed to boil kettle and place cups etc. Difficult access to coat hangers
The rooms looked dated. The room booked was stated as overlooking the common - the room overlooked a car park and another building not the common.
Spacious double room for single occupancy, excellent restaurant and service with friendly efficiient staff. Highly recommended
Friendly atmosphere, comfortable and spacious room. Ideally located, close to all ammenities. We would prefer room only as do not eat a large breakfast, preferring a coffeee start..
Easy access to town centre Look forward to the 1st july in bar area
Hotel decor was good & everyone was friendly & helpful. No
Friendly staff, good restaurant and service . Good location for town centre. Comfortable, at home, feeling.
Room decore was nice No inroom facilities, poor menu (excuss as because they are in the middle of town you can go out to reasturants), no cooked breakfeast available, staff helpfulness was poor (was taken to the lift and left to my own devises to find the room)
The hotel was very peaceful and relaxing. There was nothing we didnt like, but would have liked tea and coffee making facilities in our room.
It was nice to have a larger than normal room, very airy with a handy desk, etc No bath, nice shower etc though.
convenient location it would have been good to have a kettle in the room.
Very clean and and friendly. Excellent place to stay. nothing
It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities
Stayed for one night due to a wedding at the High Rocks. Location excellent for central Royal Tunbridge Wells. Style of hotel was boutique and ideal for a short stay. Breakfast was continental.
Great, friendly staff. Nice decor, and nice guests
It is a very attractive and stylish hotel. Great location near many things. Our room was very good sized. My one recommendation would be to include more shelves or a dresser in the room.
Good location for where i needed to be. Rooms were too small especially the bathroom, only a continental breakfast was available and a very limited choice of meals for dinner.
It was perfect for our needs but the wifi did not work The pillows were not very comfortable
pleasant surroundings sunday lunch room was crowded, with too much noise, you could not hear yourself speaking
excellent breakfast standard of cleanliness was dreadful. Our room, 205, has cobwebs hanging from the wall lights, thick dust on all the lamps and lightbulbs and dust in the bottom of the wardrobe that you could write your name in.
the restaurant of the hotel is open subject to availability of personnel. during our stay of 3 nights the restaurant was only one evening available.
The staff were very friendly and courteous. The room was quiet. No
Our room was very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was very poor and was also very hot. the cold tap in the sink did not work either.
old ashioned ambiance. Plenty of parking. No dinner menu on Fridays, only limited bar menu. Hotel of this size and price should offer restaurant facilities.
Staff very friendly and helpful
Excellent value for money and well appointed rooms.
The hotel staff has been helpful and very nice both in the evening and in the morning. I can only recommend this hotel where I will no doubt return when I am in the area.
Nice ambience & good food Room was musty and pokey - shower did not drain.I rang reception and the bistro for 5 mins each to order room service - at 9:30pm and no-one picked up
Comfort and the feel of luxuriousness. Many great details. Difficult to find parking.
We have stayed at several Hotel Du Vin's throughtout the country because of the ambience and the boutique nature. We enjoyed our stay immensley but would only comment that for £145 a night (4 nights stay)that breakfast would be included.
Courteous and efficient staff despite the Hotel being very busy the evening i arrived. Though the room was bijioux it contained everything required for an over night stay. Lovely view of the gardens. Both The evening meal & breakfast were excellent.
We came down for my daughers's 21st Birthday. She had always wanted to visit Hever Castle and as it was a special occasion I wanted to book us into somewhere a little special. We loved the restaurant and food and the decor. Sadly we weren't able to stay for very long, but would definitely recommend it
Our stay at the Camden Arms was excellent. We can not fault it in any way.The staff were very professional and yet very friendly and welcoming. The room we had was beautiful. N/A
Nice quiet clean room away from the road. Plenty of car parking Very popular at lunchtime suggested they are doing something right. Disappointingly small room, very dim lights in the bathroom, bed sagged in the middle, too soft for us, not a good nights sleep. Strange 'modern but baronial tudor' furniture in a newly built room.
My room was clean and tidy with a modern ensuite and the usuals TV, good hairdryer etc. The breakfast was good and the laid out nicely. I ate in the pub during the evening, the food was good and as expected
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Did not spend enough time there!
Great breakfast-was worried about partner's reaction to a "continental" breakfast- he is still going on about how good it was. Parking plenty of it and close to accomodation. Nice rooms and breakfast area. Convenient position, easy to find, lots to do/see nearby in a lovely area None
Quiet room, good breakfast and the old pub, which forms part of the hotel.
Although we arrived late in the day after a wedding, the room was very comfortable and homely.
Nice sized room, with good facilities.
Staff friendly and helpful, room clean and comfortable and quiet. Bathroom had shower but not bath. Ate at the restaurant and food was good. Buffet breakfast fine. In all no complaints and seemed pretty good value to me. The only downside to the hotel is that you are outside of tunbridge wells here so need to drive in and out.
Clean, friendly, lively hotel, but very traditional feel too. The staff were outstanding - we arrived late on Saturday evening after the kitchen had closed, but even without us asking, they offered to provide sandwiches and tea or coffee. The room, although small, was beautifully appointed with luxury touches. We were there for an event at a local castle, but hope to go back next year for a longer stay when we will use the hotel as a base to explore local stately homes and the countryside. Highly recommended. Very minor - it was a shame that the shower was not as strong as it could have been. Nothing else!
The ambience in the hotel is quite original, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The service is excellent and the food is really nice. The cleaning of the windows in the outside part (bottom of the windows) has to be improved (due to the activity of pigeons) but this is just a detail maybe overlooked by the cleaning crew.
Good Food, Good service. Room of a high standard.
convenient location breakfast did not start until 08,00
Restaurant was good. All staff helpful There needs to be a lift to the 1st floor.
the pool, the food, the location...good local bus service. Comfortable beds.
Quiet location Problem with internet service in room. Had to change rooms. Staff dealt with this very well.
On our arrival, reception did not have a record of our on line booking but efficiently dealt with the matter. The Breakfast Manager on Sunday was particularly friendly. It looked very much as it did when we stayed there 10 or 11 years ago and whilst clean was a bit tired and dated.
peaceful room #102
bar and dining room staff were excellent
Upgraded room Bar and seating area very basic and open - seemed more like part of entrance and reception area.
Use of the swimming pool and spa facilities - good opening hours. Excellent customer service.
Friendly staff Breakfast Room staff not very efficient in maintaining food at the buffet nor for delivering toast to the table.
helpful staff, enjoyed the swimming pool
