The owners are absolutely delightful folks! They helped me learn more French, they had a sense of humor, and they were most gracious hosts and hostess. I felt as though I were visiting family. Also, we arrived at noon and they graciously permitted us to register. However, we had to upgrade our room. Please note that we not longer had the 'standard' least expensive room at the chateaux. Nothing! Perfect! I just wish we could have stayed longer as we began to discover the enchantment of the town where it is located.
For the price the accommodation was good. Nice to have a bath & shower, and the breakfast was good. There was a dreadful smell pervading the bedrooms and corridors, as a result of the laundry, and kitchen, which are by the entrance. The food at dinner was very poor, and tasted like the smell I have described. I would not stay in this hotel again
Room, location, staff
Very friendly staff. A good simple hotel with secure parking in the courtyard. The restaurant is well above average and has a comprehensive wine list The bathroom fittings are poor. The small double beds with long foam filled pillows hinder a good night's sleep
The hotel room was more than adequate and the restuarant provided first class meals at reasonable prices. The service from staff was also excellent. The bed in the room was past its best and could have been a bit more comfortable
The Hotel manager was very helpful, and the room was quiet and fairly comfortable. The bathroom and therefore the room as well smelt of drains at night which was very unpleasant.The restraunt is closed on Mondays, and we could only find one other restraunt in the town open.
The dining room, the service and the food were very good. The reception was casual. The decor and furnishings were poor. The bathroom needed a shower screen; the towels were grey.

The room was clean We were not aware the restaurant was closed on Sunday and Monday. Reception was closed on arrival with a note telling half dozen customers their room number and saying "key in the door". Reception was closed on departure.
